Introduction to short corner kicks for youth soccer players. Short corner kicks are a great alternative to the traditional (long) corner kicks, because it guarantees possession while giving teams a opportunity to attack the goal from better angles and distances. A short corner kick also allows teams to play the ball more to feet, which can be useful for young teams that are either not allowed o...
How to Build a Wall in Soccer
มุมมอง 12K2 ปีที่แล้ว
Introduction to building a wall for youth soccer players to defend against a free kick. Teams should talk about how many players to include in the wall based on the location of the kick. Teams should also talk about how to use the offside line to their advantage when setting the wall. For example, there are many situations where it's a good idea to hold the offside line even with the wall. Roya...

Indoor Soccer Challenge 3 - Core Strength
What's formation for defense when other team is kicking off?
When in a diamond formation (1-2-1), encourage the center forward to move up quickly and put pressure on the ball while the midfielders slide up to cover the other players. For the kickoff, the center forward and midfielders generally line up around the center circle.
Love ❤️
Where’s built up line
In US youth soccer, the build out line only applies to U10. These lessons apply to the older teams. However, the purpose of the build out line is to encourage playing out of the back at an early age.
Excellent and perfect for my practice, thanks!
You may think I'm joking but this soundtrack is amazing.... as is the content - ty.
Excellent video guys it gets right to the point and it’s easy to understand especially for first time players!
Helped avlot for my johnstown tournament
This is great and I'm a giant fan and I use these with my junior teams. One little thing, though... I have had referees stop the play (but just give a warning so far) if the 2nd player isn't on the field for the kick - or even once when he was off the field until just beforehand.) That's the rule of course, but also a stickler of a ref for U12. I noticed your stick kid is slightly off the field.
Great observation - and sorry about the confusion! You are correct, the second player should stay on the field to receive the first pass. In the video, I originally had the second player standing just inside the field of play, but his head was blocking the view of the ball so I moved the player off the field to provide a better view of the first pass. Thanks for sharing and good luck this season!
Can you make a video like this but with my 1-1-1-1formation Goalkeeper Defender Midfielder(Cam) Attacker
Thanks for the request. I haven't played that style of game before, but I believe the general concepts shown here could still be used to introduce some of the basic concepts about making good shapes and staying connected as the players move up and down the field.
Actually our team has a fifth player and we play with a 1-1-2-1 formation
Bad
I have a knock-out match today in the evening. I hope this will help win us ;-;
Good luck!
At the end of your video, the girls are doing a passing drill. Looks like a great drill. Can you tell us more about that or show us a video on how we can do that with our kids?
Yes - I'm hoping to find time to make some passing drill videos. There are endless variations of this drill, but three of the main focuses are: 1) opening the body to receive the ball on a half turn; 2) checking to the ball; 3) and communicating (calling for the ball and telling a player they can turn).
THANK YOU 2:16 WING MOVEMENT
this really helped
I like this lol for some reason
Except you can't have anyone touch the ball inside the box... 😂
Yes you can, FIFA updated the rule in 2019.
Yes you can
I love this🎉!!
Thanks coach for the homework soccer 🥅 tysm
Messi: whats a wall?
Really enjoying your content. As a new coach to a u8 team this is vital stuff I will be utilizing! Thank you so much and I hope you continue making quality content. I love that you put the writing of what you did at the end too! Great stuff.

Love the love!
These videos are excellent for juniors age groups, together with on the pitch training, it is an excellent resource.
thanks to this video we were able to come back from our game in which we were 4-4 and we were able to finish it 6-4. Greetings from Chile
its called football my guy
videos are great
Good video. But offside in "Put it together".😅
Thanks! Good catch - just assume there are imaginary players keeping them on 🙂
there is no off sides on a throw in
\😅\\ nice videos
Thank you for this! I searched forever for this simple formation and I couldn’t find it anywhere 😂
Excellent video but, be careful, you have two numbers 10, and you have no number 8.
Thanks - to keep it simple we typically play with two 10s, or sometimes two 6s and one 10.
Boleh juga tu
Beautifulness!! Well done 👍
Do you have a video on how the midfielders play when the other team has the ball?
No, but they certainly need to cover the most ground and immediately drop back when the other team wins the ball.
Using this with U-10 boys rec soccer. Hammering home for center mids NOT to chase the ball but hold their position. And fall into that defensive triangle instead of becoming a second striker.
Great video! How does the Attack Diamond work with the offside line in 7v7? Would the right point of the diamond be offside most of the time?
The center forward (right side of diamond) can look to stretch the field toward the offside line, but don't go past it. If the outside midfielders find that they're always standing flat with the center forward near the offside line, it may mean they need to drop back to provide a better angle for receiving the ball (creating the diamond). However, when you are in the attacking third, maintaining a specific shape is less important than creating shooting opportunities on goal.
@@soccerdots Thank you!
This is a good video for kids
This really helped
I just started my first practice today This helps
Ty this helped me for my upcoming games
Just what I was looking for. Will try this on the weekend
GOOD STUFF

Great help
Lol my coach just sent this to my whole team
same lol

What’s ur coaches name

This video was very helpful 👍
These videos are amazing. Is it possible to do one for center midfield in the future? That would help my son tremendously. Thank you.
Thanks! Some of the key movements for a center midfielder is covered in the 11v11 Formation video, but the movement can apply to any age group. The link below starts with the center midfielder(s) shifting to support each play and looking to switch the field, and then the end of the video includes an example of overlap passing and give-and-go passing. th-cam.com/video/6yXDP0UuSUE/w-d-xo.html
So does all big teams in Europe know about this basic formations?
Of course
@@rayenneyar6252 after all variations they've put up and implemented, outwitting one another might be hard. I get it.
