This is great. I like the 3-3-2 for 9v9 for teaching width and overlap. You covered several of the core tactics I try to get to in the first couple months with a team.

very good videos, do more where you explain how to go out playing, how to attack with each game system. Thank you

Do you have one for 9v9 2-3-2-1 or 4-3-1?

Quick answer is no. I prefer either the 3-3-2 or 3-2-3 formations, because they create a good balance for long-term team development. There are times where we may switch to a 4-3-1 mid game if our defense is getting overwhelmed, but attacking with this formation tends to rely on one talented striker scoring most of the goals, which isn't ideal for team development. I haven't tried a 2-3-2-1 formation. In general, 4 lines in a formation can be overly complicated for an average U12 team. However, for some teams, I'm sure these formations could be a great fit. Best of luck with your season!

@@soccerdots I like your answer, but I actually have had a lot of success with the 2-1-4-1 when the other team is playing with only one forward. Works really well if you have wing backs that can get up and down the field

@@armandoroman6644 Teaching your wing backs to stay connected with the team and join the attack makes a big difference, and seems to be one of the most overlooked team stragies in youth soccer. Thanks for sharing.
