New to all this due to mental health problems so I took up a hobby tinkering on with small engines and other little jobs around my home.

Good one mate .. I had one it the other day. Getting the carb off was a pig
They are a right pig to remove, thanks for watching and the comment 👍
Peaceful area Nev💯👍🏾
@bigsonslawncare It is Ronaldo, it's a shame the road is so close 😳
I'm glad you are feeling well Nev. Nice job so far my friend 🙏🔧👍
Hi Artie, yes hopefully get back with it when weather drys up, thank you for watching and the comment,
Wow! A year off the alcohol is pretty amazing Nev, with you all the way and supporting from afar. That horse was beautiful 🤣🤣. That is definitely a challenge brother, do it in small patches though. 3 stone! brilliant. You should be proud Sir, I am definitely proud of you, a great friend even though we haven’t managed to meet yet, I know we would gel.
Yep 1 year off the alcohol, never missed it Steve, horse was on the wrong side of the fence, fattening it up for horse burgers 😂😂, thank you Steve for your support and the comment means a lot to me 👍
Cheers mate
Thank you Mr Henry, for watching and the comment 👍
Plenty to do Nev. Wild garden sounds great to.Glad your feeling good to.
Your right there Neil plenty to do on this one, thank you for watching and the comment 👍
looking good so far nev looking forward to part 2 and good to hear your health is better and good to see you putting videos back up 👍👍👍
Hi Tim, its coming on well a bit tough but getting there, am trying my best to get more videos out, thank you for watching and the comment 👍
@@tinkeringtaylor3053 your welcome my friend and you will get there 👍👍
You have done lots since the last time I saw one of your videos!! I love the string trimmers with the metal blade, I just bought one this year and can't believe I ever used one without! My buddy in Northern Wisconsin takes the nettles and boils them down, then strains the liquid off and uses it to drink all winter long 😣😣😆😆. I've never tried it but he says its really healthy. I had to look up 3 stone to pounds, 42 pounds, that's awesome work. Sounds like you are on the road to being more healthy, good for you! Have a great new week! You're friend from Wisconsin US!
Much appreciated, for watching and for commenting, one thing using a blade is to go really slow, incase of any hard objects in the long grass 👍
I love that stone wall! I must say, Nev, I'm so glad you didn't hire Renaldo to do that cleanup, because it would never get done! 🤣🤣 You live in such a lovely area. That will be a perfect spot for wildflowers. The bees & birds will be thrilled! Happy to hear you're doing well and congratulations on your 1st year sober anniversary. That's amazing! 👏🤗
The stone walls are nice to have for shelter, but very expensive to maintain, i wish i could afford to rebuild them, Renaldo would probably not turn up till the work was done then make a video saying he had done the clean up 😂, it is a nice area but the main A1 road spoils it, as i use to enjoy a beer or two i now don't miss it and really chuffed with myself, thank you for watching and the comment 💌 👍
So this how you guys treat a NATIONAL TREASURE (BSL) I'm appalled! I wonder If I could use that electric fence to keep some rascals off my CHANNEL!🤔🤣
@@bigsonslawncare nah, you'd miss us too much! 😁🤷♀️🤣

Hi Rooster, its going to be along job but it will be well worth it at the end, thank you for watching and the comment 👍
congratulations on the health issues, and stopping drinking you look like you are feeling good now, keep up the good work.
@MissouriOldTimer feeling really good, Vernon lot more energy, thank you for watching and the comment 👍
I’m glad that you’re doing well! Those projects will keep you going for some time. God bless Nev! 🙏🏼👍🏼💯
@billshedd55 Thank you Bill, yes very busy, but weather not helping, nothing but rain and wind, thanks for watching and the comment 👍
@@tinkeringtaylor3053 I’ll trade my weather for yours! Today is 46°C.
@@billshedd55 to hot for me that Bill 🥵😂
Great work Nev, if you were closer I would lend and hand or a machine or two! Well done on your weight loss, 3 stone is some going! It must be using the push mower rather than the ride on haha. Happy anniversary on not drinking, great work! Keep up the great work, really enjoy your updates 👍🏼
@MachineryNation Hi James, the weight loss is helped by using the push mower and all the strimming I am doing. With the wet weather we are having, I am even decorating, and I feel safe on the ladders 🪜 😂 as they are not bending. Thank you for watching, and the comment 👍
Nice garden or at least it well be. Congrats on no booze for a year,
@DIYVariety Hi Jason, I feel really good not drinking because I did like a pint or two, but it's just coffee and water these days. Thanks for watching, and the comment 👍
keep going Nev
@johnt6949 hi John, yep, trying to keep going, with the bad weather we are having am on with decorating to keep the old bones from seizing up 😂, thank you for watching and the comment 👍
Nice cheeky little vlog again 👍🏻 Glad you’re feeling good and well done for losing the weight and staying off the beer 👊🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
@markmeadows9838 Thank you, Mark. Never miss the beer now, and weight is still coming off slowly 👍
Talk about timing. Had our Mountfield SP185 stop working a couple of weeks ago, and I found almost no info online about this particular model. Then along you come a few days later with this video. Followed along with your disassembly and got it fixed. The carburettor was filthy, made yours look absolutely brand new in comparison. Cleaned it out, re-assembled everything and now the thing starts like the day we first got it. Big help.
Hi @sussurus, am very pleased this helped you out, and thank you for watching and commenting 👍
I'm glad you were able to get it running Taylor great video.
Thanks Jay, bit of a struggle but running fine now thank you for watching and the comment 👍
"That was awkward." That part made me laugh! 😂 Sounded great at the end!
Thanks Steve, good little mower when going nice and light 👍
I need one of those T shirts 😅
Hi David, my wife bought me it i usually wear it when am in the garage, thanks for watching and the comment. 👍
Everything on that mower is nice and clean...now with the carburetor being clean, it will work well. Nice job. Interesting that all the plastic bits have to be off to get the carb. The skeleton animation is cool! Take care Nev😀👍👍👍👍👍💪🦾
Hi Craig, i give it a clean down before i put it into my car there was a lot of grass on it when i picked it up, really bad design by @moutfeild lawnmowers, thank you for watching and the comment 👍
Well nev, that is now purring like a kitten. Carb wasnt easy like some
Hi Jason, very awkward mountfield never put much thought in that when they designed them, thank you for watching and the comment 👍and thanks to your great review on the 12v ratchet made me go and buy one👌
Nev I had one of my syringes do that the other day, just put your air gun on the little tip and gentle blow through it, the rubber stopper will pop right out. 👍 Big Son's would have to resort to hot air since thats all he has. Ha 🤣
Exactly
🤣🤣🤣
Hi John, got it fixed with a bit of wire, has Big Son`s got a hot air compressor 😂, thank you for watching and the comment 👍
Good deal and anytime Nev. I do believe Big Son's IS a hot air compressor. 🤣🤣
@Big_Johns he must be never see him blowing up and tyres
They don't make it easy to pull the carb off that mower Nev. Great job. You got it running like new again. Have a great day my friend 🔧👍
Hi Artie, its going good now and the lass is really happy, thank you for watching and the comment 👍
Brilliant mate 👍🏻👍🏻
Thank you JP, 👍
Well done mate
Thank you for watching and the comment Mr Henry,👍
🤣🤣🤣🤣 smell that! I was laughing out loud. Can’t believe you broke the syringe 🤣🤣🤣. That started beautifully budy,,, nice service
I got a shock when someone's nose appeared for a sniff 😂, thats what you get when you buy cheap amazon syringes 🤬, thanks for watching and the comment 👍
That smell test was absolutely disgusting NEV!😫🤣I use a syringe and Turkey baster works good Nice looking machine carburetor reminds me a little of the Honda
I was shocked when @Big_Johns nose appeared and did the sniff test 😂, am going to have to get a better syringe or some sort of pump, but apart from the carb been awkward to remove, the mower is ok nice and light to use 👍
@@tinkeringtaylor3053 He's always STICKING his nose 👃🏾 in AWKWARD places!!!!!!!!🤔🤭🤣
🤣🤣 know where I'm gonna be sticking my foot next time!! 😲
@@Big_Johns So Nev I see your channel is going South!!!! It use to be just Us ( The extremely talented and creative minds) Somehow the Vagabonds have found their WAY!!!!!!🥴😜😂
🤣🤣 I’ve noticed that too Nev, maybe it’s time to start blocking some of this drawing/welding trash that slithered its way here. 🤣🐍
Gʻreat job there Nev
Thank you for watching and the comment 👍
That was mint Nev mate! Cool cordless ratchet, those are very handy! God bless!👍🏻🔧💪🏻
Hi Bill, thanks for watching and the comment, and am pleased with the ratchet works good,👍
All working great now, spot on. Looked like a real pain to work on. Cheers Nev.
Real pain Neil, if the plastic panel was made a bit shorter so it does not go so close to the carb be not a problem, thank you for watching and the comment 👍
could you have taken the front stud out with vice grips or double nutted it? it odd that they made it so hard to get he carb off.
Hi vernon, when they designed it i think they never thought of repairing the carb,if the plastic panel was made a bit shorter so it does not go so close to the carb be not a problem, thank you for watching and commenting 👍
Well done Nev
Thank you for watching 👍
Well that was awesome Nev, you know who is gonna be jealous 😂
🤔
No names mentioned but he could get jealous😁
Hope so 😁
Very cool, Nev! Those are nice boxes. I like your idea to put a wire across the middle for strength. I noticed the stone wall bordering your property. They are really interesting. May I suggest that you make a video about them, what you know about those type of walls in your area. These are not common in most of the world and I think it would be an interesting topic for a video. In the UK they seem to be more common but in Canada (and North America in general), we don't get many of these old relics. Just an idea. All the Best!!
Hi Craig, i don't really know much about the stone wall, most houses like mine have the stone walling around about the area, check out @J.HarveyStonework as he does some lovely wall builds builds 👍
Top job Nev. Looks great. Grass never stops growing lol. That was a lot of hard work but the finished job says it all.
Thanks Neil, your right about the grass growing, busy cutting today . Thank you for watching and the comment 👍
Great Vlog Nev, and great job in the graden. Subscribed for more
Thank you for the comment and for subscribing 👍
Hello Nev, having this same problem which only started today, Im going to try the regen soon and get the good quality fuel after. Any update with yours?
Hi eamonn, touch wood its going really well,
Let you know if your solution works for me, do you have a link for the starter pack?
You do have a link, found it thanks
@@eamonnhamill4103 One thing i forgot to say,is you might have to put it onto a diagnostic machine to clear any faults but fingers crossed it may not need that
Alright Nev. My problem ended up being the starter motor. But I did do what you suggested in the video and have noticed some improvement is fuel economy. Mines is the same year as yours, I was getting 37 before now hitting 43
42 years ago!!! Get em back in Nev, it must have had a guarantee 🤣🤣
Been in touch with the woodyard they said it was 43 years ago and there sorry the warranty ran out last month 😂😂

Thank you Mark, getting it sorted slowly 👍
Wow Nev that was a lot of work there so far. You always do a great job there on the property. Take care my friend 🔧👍
Hi Artie, it sure was a lot of work, thats the trouble owning a big property takes a lot more looking after, Thank you for the comment 👍
Great job getting the wire out, the area you cleared looks great. The wall around your garden looks great and it would be good to get it repaired at some point
Hi Joseph, it would be lovely to see the walls rebuild, and clearing that bit of land is something I have wanted to do for a long time , Thank you for the comment 👍
Hello there Neville!! Wow buddy, you have done a ton of work in your garden and it's looking awesome. Way to go!! Take 'er easy!!
Hi Mike, yes been very busy we are slowly getting on top of things now, as long as it keeps dry, Thank you for your comment 👍
Lots of work mate better you than me

Fantastic job Nev! I thought I had tuned into Gardeners' World! You certainly have your work cut out for you. The rhubarb looks wonderful, I haven't had any since I was a kid. Please keep us updated. God bless! 🙏🏻💯💪🏻
Hi Bill, we definitely got our work cut out sorting this, lot of the garden won't get planned out this year lot of the stuff should have been put in ages ago but with all the wet weather knocked things back but I will do updates on how it's doing. Thank you for the comment 👍
That’s not a garden that’s a full time job 😳, shame about the wall the rest of it looks great but yes it’s an expensive repair, I’d be investing in a ride on lol. Love the extension handle on the strimmer I might just knock one up. Cheers 👍
Hi Mike, Yes we spend a lot of time in the garden it's a lot to look after,I do have a ride on, but it's not running at the moment engine problems. Thank you for the comment 👍
Nice Nev, turning out very nice but man that’s a lot of work. ❤
It's been very hard work, but hopefully i can keep on top of it now, and it will be a lot easier. Thank you for the comment 👍
