That's awesome that you gotta go in. And you figure out the problem, give it a good clean out. Everyone's in a while and run some good fuel. I always heard you better. Fuel is good for your vehicles. But I always thought of some money grab. I might have to start doing the same. Thanks a lot for posting this Taylor I hope you have a great weekend, brother.
Makes a big difference now Jay, running on good fuel more miles to the gallon and enging sounds sweet for been a diesel, thanks for watching and the comment 👍
Hi Bill, i have found a big difference in the car and am pleased am getting a better mileage using it thanks for watching and the comment, and a merry christmas to you 👍
Hello Nev. I don't know to much about diesels but I do know good fuel is important. My friends here with dump trucks use good BP fuel. I'm glad you sorted it out and very good information my friend 🔧👍
How's she goin'? Great that you discovered the problem with your car not starting. That can burn your eggs when you are counting on your scar to start and it won't. Bad fuel, I would never had thought of that. Here in Canada they garages switch to what they call 'winter diesel' sometime in the fall. I think it has additives in it to keep it from gelling up in the cold. Making the engine regen is a good plan too. Burn the particulate out of the filter eh!! Thanks for posting and take 'er easy!!!
Hi Mike, I am not sure, but I think it's all season fuel here in the uk, but the shell supper is the one with all the good stuff in to clear the pipes out, thank you for watching and the comment, hope Nannie is doing ok 👍 👌
am really happy with the outcome, am thinking about getting the old battery's tested to see if they are still ok so a topdom battery repair unit would be handy, thank you for watching and the comment 👍👍
A DPF is very much like a catalytic converter and they can be cleaned out instead of replacing (sometimes). Personally, I've not cleaned one but there are many pour-in fixes you can try and also removing and cleaning them with solvents and water under pressure. Burning a high-quality fuel is important but sometimes the damage is done. Let's hope the problem stays fixed!
Hi EverdayProjects, there is a lad I know his company is called the DPF Doctor, and that's what he does all repair work on them using the pour-in and pressure washing them, but if I ever can afford it I will treat my car to a spar day with him to get a good clean thanks for the comment 👍
Glad to see you found out what caused the issue with the startup . your ford kuga is here in the states a ford escape but nice yours is a diesel model 👍
Hi Neil, hear different stories about supermarket fuel but i never give it a thought till now and the trouble it has caused, christmas will soon be here are you going to your brothers 🤔
I run supermarket fuel ⛽️ in both my diesels. They don't have Dpfs there. Also, Vws PD engine's they both start the first crack even in -8 degs c. Tbh my friend has the Focus on a 2010 with a 1.6 Tdci he is running it on Tesco Diesel it always starts. Your Right about the DPF you need to drive them in the low gears high Revs, or they clog up. The 20mph speed limit up here has hit a lot of folk because there driving in high gears low Revs around town its good for me means more Blocked DPFs more work. Anyway hope you're car keeps working 💪
Hi Ali, some of the Ford kuga`s from 2010 to 2015 has a bad name for been a bad starters in the cold weather, and having faulty ECUs witch i found a company that i was going to send off to get tested, but its running good now just with the change of fuel, definitely 20mph speed will cause a lot of problems with the DPFs. thanks for watching and the comment 👍
we had a chevy diesel car back in the 80's and the number 1 diesel worked in the winter but number 2 would jell up in the winter when it was real cold, but I think around here they have all season fuel so you don't have to get number 1 or 2, I know with that car if it got below 20 F, I had to plug in the block heater.
If it starts again try a Higher Ampage Battery buddy. My battery went but I have had the car petrol for over 3 years. Luckily I managed to charge it and get it running so went Euro car parts and bought another.👍✌️
Hey nev dont get Renaldo over there its better to buy a new car. Once he is on the island youll have to feed him and provide grass lol but interesting how you might be on to something there.
Hello Nev, having this same problem which only started today, Im going to try the regen soon and get the good quality fuel after. Any update with yours?
@@eamonnhamill4103 One thing i forgot to say,is you might have to put it onto a diagnostic machine to clear any faults but fingers crossed it may not need that
Alright Nev. My problem ended up being the starter motor. But I did do what you suggested in the video and have noticed some improvement is fuel economy. Mines is the same year as yours, I was getting 37 before now hitting 43
Thank you so much beautiful sharing my friend
