What i like about it was the rewards you get when replaying dragon universe, although you can fly around the map and can't ascend or descend you can still land on a landmark and encounter something random weather it's a bag of zeni, dragon scouter or an event that lets you unlock extra characters.

DBZ Budokai 3 is the best Budokai video game because like DBZ Budokai 1 and 2, Budokai 3 had breakthrough capsules which allowed all of the in-game fighters to use all of their attacks and the breakthough capsules would max out the in-game fighters' health bars. In the later Budokai games, the breakthrough capsules were removed completely.

The best way to get to level 50 is the tropical island, i hit level 50 on Vegeta & Trunks before fighting semi perfect cell and it was WAYYYYYY FASTER than the dinos, esp if youre on emulator

Best dbz game ever for sure. But also one of the best gba games ever created. Because of the 10\10 graphics, sound!, and game mechanic. I only wish there was a hardcore mode where you get rekt, because at some point i got so good that the game wasnt a challenge anymore

Budokai 2 in game strings can get blocked for free because they have lots of gaps, and some characters are unplayable, But its better than Budokai 1 but i suggest to play Budokai 3

Dbz budokai 2 was the 1st game I got for my 11th birthday so I have so much nostalgia for that game but not my favorite anymore just hated shaking the Joystick every time but I liked the crazy fusions. In middle school my friend let me borrow Budokai 3 and that was awesome blowing up planets, storymode, more characters and hated dragon rush sometimes. I played Budokai 1 when the HD collection came was bummed when 2 wasn't included. I thought the game was ok kinda stiff controls I kinda like the playdough graphics, wish it went to the Buu saga

I think I got this after Legacy of Goku II, which I loved so much, but I'm not entirely sure. What I do know, is that I got this on Christmas, and I ended up beating it the within a couple of hours. Now, I come from a somewhat poor background, we didn't have a lot of money growing up, so when I went: "Ah, I've finished the game", my mother was absolutely fuming because it was such a short game. I ended up "replaying" it, having to start over, for a while, so my opinion of this game was, it was weird, janky and well, as for my enjoyment...I didn't hate it, but it was a fine thing to pass the time? I liked to see how far I could go with the flying, since it used up the Flight Points. But I definitely preferred the sequels afterwards, for sure!

Teen Gohan was amazing for his Super Kamehameha in this one!

I remember my best friend gave me this game in 5th grade i git this game and supersonic warriors confused i genuinely liked this game at first bur over the course of 2 weeks i came to see how much it sucked it had cool things about it but overall it was garbage

The opening *does* have vocals the same as Budokai 3 where it was stripped out for the American release. Other versions like we got in Australia also have the proper opening and it's great. Americans really missed out on the most banging Dragon Ball game openings ever made.

Great breakdown of these three absolute classics, man! One thing I'd like to add, I definitely believe Uub had a secret battle or two. I have a memory of trying to unlock the the "Z1-Z3" difficulties and using Uub's story to do it since it was the shortest, and there was definitely a path that ended up with Uub fighting Omega Shenron. Unfortunately this was long ago so I don't remember the unlock requirements.
