I didnt had a home console until 2019 when Pokemon Sword and Shield got released. I didnt play Ultimate Ninjastorm 3 and 4 until later. By then, online is basically dead so I was not able to play competitively. NUNS3 probably has the hardest final boss even if the ending was non-canon (because the manga was not finished yet at the time. 1v6 against the Jinchuriki 1v7 against the tailed beast mode of the Jinchuri + Obito 1v6 against the tailed beast mode jinchuriki again Then 1v1 against Obito which was the easiest part. I managed to finally get an S rank in all battles but it took a LOT of retries. I even had to use bento and a lot of healing items. NUNS4 is probably my favorite since its ending is very much canon. My complaint would be Madara, Kaguya and Sasuke final boss battles are rather easy. (Madara's Sussano can be cheao though) I swear, I never used healing items against those 3. Meanwhile NUNS3 Obito got me eating food and chugging potions like crazy. As for Connections. We dont talk about that. -most cutscenes are replaced by powerpoint slides. -your chakra shuriken throw is removed in favor of a 2nd jutsu -the 2nd jutsu option was cool but you cant customize your jutsu anymore. (For example, Itachi can use Fireball jutsu, Amaterasu and Water clone jutsu. Before the fight, you can customize and choose one jutsu and one of your ultimates. In connections, all are predetermined. You cant choose anymore. 🤷♂️) -Bad voice acting. How they messed it up when the previous titles already made it good is beyond me. We got robbed with connections. Also with the recent announcement at bandai namco that the most recent Naruto game got cancelled, we Naruto fans are eating dust while DBZ fans are eating good with Sparking Zero.
The most recent naruto game was cancelled? I had no idea, that’s so unfortunate as the naruto games I’ve played as of yet have all been QUALITY. If this does well I’m super hyped to continue the UNS series. I’ve heard from multiple sources it keeps on getting better!
@@mysteriousthirteen Bandai namco recently laid off a lot of their employees and cancelled two games. The supposively next Naruto game and One Peace game. We got duped.
I will say that I find the combat stronger in the later games with each of them adding or changing a core mechanic of the game play but I will admit the free-roam in the first game is amazing and enjoyable to play in and really disappointed that it wasn't even carried on in the others. I really enjoyed the idea you can walk on water and buildings, jumping high in the air as well as catapulting yourself from one side of the map to the other.
The improvements upon combat is great to hear if I decide to continue the series.. but there’s no free roam in the following games? Meaning no hub? That sucks
@@mysteriousthirteen I didn't mean to spoil it, but there is free-roam in the second game (technically) but in my opinion it's not as good as the first game, you'll understand what I mean when you play it. A lot of creative charm disappears in that department but yea, it's the only thing I dislike about the later games and why I always go back to this one. As the games continue the less free-roam you have however you get more story, characters, combat improvements.
