I don't really play them. I played Kakarot when it first dropped, but the DLCs were so spread apart that I just moved on to other games. I find it difficult to go back to games months or even years later in this game's case. Looks cool though.
I definitely get where you’re coming from. I used to love Xenoverse 2 but, while I appreciate a DBZ game getting a decade of support, it’s just too much for me to keep up with
alot of what they did in the dlc was to make the whole game better I'm sure if I used even a couple senzu beans through the game hard mode would have been fairly easy
I just started the game after waiting for all the DLC to be out and keep hearing people talk about the game not being difficult, and I haven't really had any storyline issues, but unlocking moved with Vegeta has been a pain. Fighting against Vegeta, Nappa, and Raditz all at the same time has been the biggest pain in the ass, with Radditz spamming ki blas supers that last for 30 seconds and then doing melee supers that teleport him right in front of me, Nappa either charging in with his melee supers or doing that short range big explosion bomber dx, and Vegeta being an all grounder with ki blast spam supers, Galic Gun, and melees, I've felt like it's not even hard, it's just plain unfair how ridiculous it can get. But maybe I just don't know all the combat mechanics yet. Dodoria's also been a pain with his dashing melees that all seem to have super armor on them unlike other melee supers
I leveled up to about 140 before even going to the first battle just to beat Uub in 45 seconds. I would even slow down just to allow the dialogue to play. In general I thought dlc 6 was okay at best, way to short. The last fight with Vegeta was a highlight for sure.
Oh wow lol. With Kakarot I don’t level up and grind much, until the Post Game content I mean, because it’s just too easy already. But yeah, without the Vegeta fight it wouldnt have been worth the $
I personally prefer them reretconning Super back out of existence for this. Super just doesn't work with the narrative of this final epilogue arc. Would've been cool to see them make the necessary adjustments, but considering the Super story still isn't over, I'm happy to have this celebration of classic Z. Now if only they could do movie pack DLCs for all the original, what, 13 movies
Yeah, I think they made the right decision sticking with the original Z canon, and what’s confirmed. Adding super stuff could get messy and may have been even more controversial
@@mysteriousthirteen Yup, exactly where my mind's at with it. Now if only we could get a game that followed the movie canon, cause movie canon was always super interesting to me. Though, I'd accept Movie Packs as DLC for Kakarot. I hope they continue on with the game. Or maybe make an original DB prequel
It was controversial when battle of the gods came out because at that point me and my brother were already calculating how they would "forget" god ki or the tournament of power and everything inbetween z and super. Most likely a huge event that would cause the main cast to forget or never mention the gods again.
Yeah I’ve definitely been wondering how they would connect them for awhile. Only theory I have is if they connect Dragon Ball Daima to main canon, and than goku/vegeta lose their powers and can’t get them back. Doubt it though
Wasn't controversial for me. I genuinely enjoyed it. Giving End of Z more time to breathe was excellent. More lil scenes with side characters. I enjoy ground combat so I like that this had both. My secret opinion is that sometime down the road they're gonna redo the End of Z including stuff from Super. And a lot of the small stuff in this DLC made me think they were test cooking ideas for that.
personally I enjoyed it as well. Ive always had this idea that the entirety of Super was a dream be it gokus or beerus’ perspective. But if that were the case it’d be ridiculous lol
I honestly really think this game needs a complete edition now or soon in some way cuz i'd eat that up cuz I only have the base game still. There's some things I wasn't a fan of in the game such as the leveling system but the gameplay and graphics were great! This DLC looks pretty good and the ending looks cool for sure. I just didn't buy DLC and now there's so many that I just kinda gave up on the game and getting any of the DLC. Xenoverse 2 I didn't give up cuz I kept buying them but I think all of these are still filler for whats coming since we haven't got a new game since 2019 when Kakarot came out. Now Sparking Zero on the way will hold for a long time but they'll probably do a sequal maybe in some way to Kakarot eventually if I had to guess but I dunno it does have a lot in there.
For sure it’s a lot to but now. I think it would be in everyone’s best interest for a complete edition and perhaps a combo of season pass 1&2 at a discounted rate a few months down the line - but only time will tell lol. Personally, I consider this filler for SZ, anything dbz that launches in between now and than will be that in my mind. Only way I see a sequel is if they hold off on making super DLC and do a complete game based on it, which personally I’d rather have!
I know im late but I recently bought Kakarot + a new power awakened 1 + 2 as a bundle on sale in the Nintendo Switch eshop for $15. I dont intend to buy any more DLCs. I feel like it was worth it ($15 base game + 2 dlcs) so I took it. I know there are horde battles, Beerus optional boss fights and new forms and all that jazz... However, was it really worth paying more for just 1 hour more or less storymode? Buying all DLCs would make you pay for the game like twice. Furthermore, the dlc covers up until Ressurection of F only so its possible that more DLC are more to come. Its just my opinion but I really dislike the concept of DLC man. It feels like a scam.
DLC’s absolutely suck man, you are not wrong at all. I’m a sucker for Dragon Ball, so even if i didn’t make vids on every new game/dlc DBZ releases, I’d still buy it. Heck I’ll be the same way when I’m 50. But yes they are fun for an hour but overall.. def a scam lol
@@mysteriousthirteen I actually buy all Pokemon DLC because I am a competitive player (ranked doubles VGC) but I swear I'll only buy the DLC for Pokemon. Some pokemon, most of which are competitively viable(basically pay to win like it or not) are behind a paywall(DLC) nowadays in Pokemon. So I cant afford to buy DLC for other games now. I even saw a comment where he said "I wont drop $15 for less than 2 hours of content" pertaining to the Kakarot DLC. After I beat level 300 Beerus as both Goku and Vegeta, im done with Kakarot. Unless future DLCs would be on sale. Perhaps I might consider it. Definitely not dropping $15 for a Kakarot DLC.
Im a huge dbz fan but the game Kakarot is lame af. Had potential that was immediately ruined by a screen full of numbers, completely annoying random fight pip ups, a bad world design, slow world exploration, a lame af flight collection system. Boss battles were OK. Combat is.... steps below tenkaichi. So dissapointing they refuse to make tenkaichi × megaton rainfall × superman returns. Could easily make it mmo with created characters and boom now everyone has their dream dbz game that should have came out 10 years ago.
I don’t disagree, it could have been WAY better. Ive always loved The Legacy of Goku games and was really expecting to see that on console. But sadly, kakarot is too easy, not enough incentive to grind (for me) and the worlds aren’t as captivating as the old rpgs despite looking much better. But that said I still enjoy it for what it is
It didn't make sense to include goku vs piccolo tho since that's dragonball and not dbz. Unless they're going by the manga which is db to dbz. That's not the best explanation because then they should include all of dragonball rather than just the final fight
I’ve wondered about that also. They probably just wanted to play this DLC safe and stick with what we already know happens - or possibly save content for a DBS Kakarot, which im all for
I still don't understand how Vegeta was able to match super saiyan 3 here. People are making stuff up like Vegeta mastered super saiyan 2 but didn't Goku and Gohan mastered super saiyan in the Cell games but Gohan's super saiyan 2 was still a lot stronger than his mastered super saiyan?
That’s honestly a really good point. If SS2 towered over MSS1 Goku how does it make sense MSS2 would equal SS3, especially if we consider gokus SS3 is probably more powerful now lol. We could assume goku was holding back on vegeta a bit as he tends to do, otherwise math isn’t mathin
@@mysteriousthirteen I think vegeta is more perfected" in his ssj2 then goku is since he can't go ssj3 plus I think the set back on stamina keeps ssj3 back I think ssj3 is a form for a final blast and quick finisher then a form you maintain all battle And vegeta has mastered it !
Uhh kira Tori Yama said that super right nowis getting close to the end of Z so perhaps vegetas ssj2 is strong af considering he has ultra ego at this point
What did you guys think of DLC 6?

Everybody’s super saiyan is ranked differently. Vegeta trained his SS2/SSJ2 to match Goku’s SS3. He believed that there were too many cons using SS3
Honestly bro as long as Vegeta’s getting some respect I’m for it
Yup mastered ssj2 would eventually beat ssj3 because of the power drain
In Battle of Gods, when Beerus slapped Bulma, Vegeta's SSJ2, even just for a moment, surpassee Goku's SSJ3 power.
Im glad they didn’t incorporate super and just focused on the end of Z with new scenes
Yeah Super would’ve been risky considering we don’t know what exactly happens leading up to these events. I think they did the right thing
