I’m ridiculously obsessed with movies and physical media and I'm a Movie Fan First, a Movie Critic Second and I will never hear me tell people to skip movies, because I prefer that you find for yourself if a movie is good or bad and I’m only giving my opinion.
I like to do Movie Reviews, but primarily out of the theater reactions, 4K/Blu Ray Unboxing Reviews, Digital Code Giveaways), Criterion Collection Hauls, Livestreams and Movie Rankings.

i think i could agree with half your list. none of the 2024 movies you listed i liked. although i havent seen the superhero movie. have a good new year dude. whats some of the movies youre looking forward to next year?

@ oh another one i didnt see. i fell asleep in the theater watching Dune 1 so no way was i going to Dune 2.
@ well, Part 2 is actually an action movie and I don’t think that you will be bored with it, there’s not much exposition in this one.

A whant to sell my blu-ray DVDs for $600.00
Good movies. They need to add "Rubin and Ed". Stars Crispin Glover and Howard Hesseman. Might be the only movie in history with a water skiing cat.

Kino was supposed to do Lost In Translation but they gave up on it. I think I read they had trouble getting the director to work with them.
@@jcrashmore Sofia would work with Criterion, I believe, since they’ve released The Virgin Suicides on Blu-Ray and then 4K.

Update: Sling Blade would be another honorable mention.
i didnt really care much for it. was kinda bored in parts. way too long. and didnt bring anything really new to the table which for me kinda defeats point of remaking something esp when this story has been done to death (no pun intended)
That’s true, but I wasn’t expecting any twists, that might upset people too. I thought it was amazing.

Update: just to clarify, I’m used to seeing Aaron Taylor-Johnson play comical roles and it’s difficult for me to see him play dramatic roles.
I really like Robert Eggers films , the VVitch is one of my favorite horror films. Can’t wait to see Nosferatu ( I agree about Aaron Taylor Johnson lol)
@@baddnurse5443 yes, I think that you will like it and I’ve liked all of Eggers’ movies so far. I might just be though, because I’m used to seeing Aaron Taylor-Johnson in comical roles and it’s difficult to see him play a dramatic role.

good time was great. i remember seeing that in theaters knowing absolutely nothing about it. blew me away. that lead actor really impressed me in it too, had never seen him in anything. having said that i’ve never seen it again. i feel like its one of those films i just dont know that id wanna go through again. i know that sounds weird. some good suggestions. i would def buy Lost in Translation. it’s something i watch every year. Ed Wood too.
@@STEVEHEROLD yep, Good Time is a dark story and Robert Pattinson showed that he was more than his Twilight character. He did go on play Batman as well. I never see Good Time out in the wild. Lost In Translation and Ed Wood deserve Criterion releases for sure.
I’d love to see Good Time get a Criterion, I would totally upgrade my dvd to that!
@@alydematti excellent! It makes sense since Uncut Gems and Daddy Longlegs are in the collection already. I wasn’t blown away by Daddy Longlegs though, it’s based on the brother’s father and it looks like a documentary.
