Ive seen The 39 Steps. No where near my favorite Hitchcock film, but I think I'm lower on the film than most. Happiness I remember briangoesblu talking about it a couple years ago as a favorite of his and I really dug the film. I'll have to wait to hear what you think. I've been slacking on Cronenberg. At this point I'm going to see more movies from his children than from him. 😂
@@Holland_Oates yes, I’ve heard mixed reviews on The 39 Steps. I really liked The Brood, but his son seems to be interesting now. I will watch Happiness next.
cool pickups dude. since you blind buy movies if you end up not liking the movie what do you do with them? trade them in? keep me and give them another watch some time later to see if your opinion changes?
@@STEVEHEROLD thanks dude. I haven’t had many that I didn’t like from Criterion, but I research fairly thoroughly before buying. Happiness is good, but I’m disturbed with Dylan Baker’s character. Honestly, the one movie that I didn’t connect with as much as many was 8 1/2 from Fellini. It’s over 2 hours and in Italian and it’s difficult to follow the story, is he directing a film or is he dreaming? I really did enough the visuals though.
@ i saw that for first time last year. it played it a theater in Princeton I occasionally go to. i had same reaction as you. feels like something you’d need to rewatch a few times and i’m really not that interested in doing that.
@ right, and the people that usually say it’s brilliant are people that have either directed a film or they’re film school students. Other than some awesome visuals, the movie kind of bored me.
Great haul! I really liked The Philadelphia Story. Awesome cast!
@@WilkysMoviesandMusic yes, I can’t believe that those 3 were in the same movie.

@ well i mean ive directed a few short films and did go to film school.
@ right, but I rarely ever hear movie fans liking 8 1/2, it’s usually only film directors.
