Since October of 2022 I have been woodworking with what tools I had. The idea was to have something to do during the winter months. While I have always liked anything made of wood, whether is is a deck or a carving, I just had a love for it.
The videos will document the struggles, challenges and successes of this new hobby. While there is plenty of content to watch when it comes to woodworking, there is a need for me to share the reality of the learning that I have yet to find on TH-cam.
Life is an adventure, experience it, live it and stay true to yourself!

I have revamped this channel to reflect this new and exciting journey that I am on. While all the previous content will be moved over to my other channel, @LivingTruthWisdom

Thanks for coming! I truly appreciate the connection!
Hi Amy, I appreciate you sharing all of the aspects of scroll saw projects. The good and the challenging. You are doing so great! Even though you haven’t been doing this long, I would have never known. It is all going to be a learning experience. I’m so sad things went wrong with the A, but I hope you can pick up with that again, and still complete it at some point. You are getting better and better along the way. 😁👏👏
I will definitely get back to it. I can fix the A, I just had to walk away...it is all part of the journey. Thank you very much for watching!
Hi Amy..This is Fabulous..well done.
Thank you so much Masha.
I would like to extend my sincere appreciate for everyone that made it to my livestream! Hi Amy. Remember the FD #3 Penguin Silver Reverse blade.
Yes, I have that written down. On my list of things to buy when I can.
good video
thank you
And yet another great video, was interesting to see how you overcame the problem with the G only to be confounded by that damn A
I know, it was a total disaster, kind of. I will be getting back to that one though. I can fix the A
It's interesting to watch the process. Nice share.
Thank you very much!
I appreciate you showing us the complications and attempts at fixing. I'm looking forward to the LIVE chat about it this evening. Thanks again, God Bless.
Thank you so much Michelle!
Oh Amy, I hear ya! I've been there. From pilot holing an entire letter project, all in the wrong location, to snapping off the delicate letter pieces that need to stay. Deep breath! I ended up having to change from a #5 to a #2 blade...which I couldn't en see cutting. Magnifier helped, but I had to keep angling my head to see without distortion from the lens. You got this!
Yup, this was the first time since the very beginning that I felt defeated. I'll get back to it!
Wow this is amazing!
Thank you so much!
You’ll be able to get back to that project- And make it work into a beautiful piece
I've been thinking about it....we shall see.
Oh my! This looks hard. You are amazing at it tho!! ❤
Thank you so much Wendy!
Cute!
Thanks!
I have the same setup. Upper replacement went fine. Remove all the hardware from the lower and THE OLD CHUCK WON'T COME OFF! HELP!
Did you remove the center sleeve? If yes, there may a bit of corrosion preventing it from coming off. I would tap it with the handle of a screwdriver. Manually moving the arms, anything to break it free without damaging anything. Let me know.
Thank you for your quick response. Yes it was the sleeve. I had to inset the screw end of the thumb turn, and tap it with a hammer to get them out.
@@pjdegroot1 Awesome! I'm so glad you got it! I know how frustrating these things can be which is why I responded as soon as I saw your comment! Happy scrolling!
Could you tell me were to obtain the pattern of the horse
It is a Steve Good pattern.
@@Amy_McFarland much appreciated
Could you advise on scroll blades for the more intricate work on the horse
@@davidgreenwood5241 I used the fd ultra reverse blade. FYI - I did answer your questions in part 1 of this horse pattern video series. I never thought to do so in part 3 because I was making the base for the horse. Good luck!
@@Amy_McFarland ye sorry about that I didn’t watch your first 2 videos I have since gone back to them and it’s given me more insight to this project
awesome!
Thanks!
Hello Amy, I enjoyed watching you make these fabulous cuts and designs. 😁🤍 Truly amazing! The tape seemed to be great! Beautiful bird designs. 🐦 🐦
Thank you so much Jennifer! The more I do, the more confident I become. This hobby has truly been a blessing in my life!
Thanks for the great video! I'm currently cutting that same project except instead of cutting out the birds on the back piece, I cut out two birds to glue on to give it more of a 3d look 😎✌️
Oh I absolutely LOVE that idea! I'll have to keep that in mind when I do future layered cuts!!! Thank you so much for watching my videos, it means a lot to me to have your input on things that you do!!
Cool 😎
Thank you!

Thank you 😊
Love the way this turned out.
Thank you so much!
Taking a step back is a good way to snort out issues . 👍👍
Absolutely! I do that a lot and it definitely helps. Thank you for your continued support!
Very nice cutting. As for the time to cut, I'd estimate the same amount of time for me to cut this (1 1/2 hrs), you're doing great. :)
Thank you! That certainly makes me feel better that my cut time is in line with what your time frame would be!
Hi 👋
Hello
Love this! Thank you, Amy
Thanks for watching!
Thanks for another video Amy! I finished my 4th project of a Steve Good unicorn that I gifted to my great niece. Her smile was priceless! I think I’m hooked on this hobby. Thanks again.
You are very welcome Leon! Oh I know you are hooked!!!! This is one of the most enjoyable hobbies I have ever done!
Hi Amy I show a friend your channel to see scroll sawing and they were amazed as they have never seen this type of thing before.
Wow, thank you Roland! I appreciate you sharing it with your friend!
Hi 👋 It turned out nicely 😊
Thank you so much! Great to see you again!
beautiful 🩵🩵🩵🩵🩵🩵
Thank you!
When cutting single layers of plywood I like to use finer blades for good control in detailed cuts. My blade of choice is FD #3 Penguin Silver Reverse. They have 20+ tpi and cut with great control. Another good choice is the Olson crown tooth. Again, good control and with the benefit of flipping the blade over for double the blade usage.
This is excellent information! I will add these two blades to my list of things to get next. I very much appreciate your advice, thank you for taking the time to do so!
If you order your FD blades from Wooden Teddy Bear, use codes CHARLES or ECOOK15 and get a 15% discount.
Excellent! Thank you!
Very nice work ❤🤩
Thank you!
Since it was birds, medic shook me out of my tree to stop by and support
LOL, leave it to Medic to shake them branches! I appreciate you stopping by! Thank you for the connection!
And another well produced video and the narration is so informative and so easy to follow. Great stuff Amy
Thank you very much Medic! I appreciate you taking the time to watch!
