- I finally purchased the Flying Dutchman Polar Blades for this project. While I did utilize the Flying Dutchman Spiral Blades for 3 cuts out of 50 it was a wise decision to do so.
Lora Irish has some truly fantastic patterns available. I purchased her book on Amazon.

My new winter hobby along with many other wood working projects!
Since October of 2022 I have been woodworking with what tools I had. The idea was to have something to do during the winter months. While I have always liked anything made of wood, whether is is a deck or a carving, I just had a love for it.

Flying Dutchman makes a spiral reverse blade to help eliminate the fuzzies. Get them at Wooden Teddy Bear. Also a small torch held at an oblique angle can sear off the fuzzies without scorching the wood.
Oh my! You just made my day! I'll look into the blades for sure. I never thought about scorching the fuzzies off! That's almost a "duh" moment for me! Lol

Yup it is similar to a sewing machine in that the blade goes up and down. I do a lot of sewing too LOL
