I couldn't help but wonder... is the 5th season of SATC really that bad?
Hi! I'm back with another Sex and the City season review. Today, we are diving deep into the fifth season of SATC, also known as the worst SATC season. Topics discussed include the "Louis Leroy from Louisiana" to "Louise from St. Louis" pipeline, unhinged Mary Brady, Steve being a red flag, Nina Katz as a transitional girlfriend, the timeline of Carrie and Aidan's relationship, Samantha's struggles to accept that Miranda had a baby and her insane Chanel scarf, Jack Berger's backstory, quirky Carrie Bradshaw, the twisted reality of Charlotte marrying her divorce lawyer, the deleted scene where Charlotte and Harry meet Trey MacDougal in The Hamptons, what's wrong with Marcus being a dancer, and many more.
Thank you for being here! xx Kasia

Candace Bushnell: The True Inspiration for SATC's Carrie Bradshaw

Thank you for Bunuel, Antonioni & Twin Peaks ❤ Belle de Jour is one of my fave films. And, although much less often than before, there's still loads of people who date /marry people they're not that into because they fear loneliness. They even convince themselves that that's love. And yes, as annoying as Carrie can be, I relate to her. ❤

Imagine, Kim goes to work every day in a toxic work environment where she is targeted, and still manages to pull off the most dynamic, outstanding character of all of them. How pitiful the show is now says it all. They needed Kim.

2 things Steve probably never introduced his mom to Miranda because they were always on and off Plus Miranda probably didn’t really want to And then I don’t think Steve went to her mothers funeral, just the girls. So I don’t think he’s met her family either Tho it is off his mom didn’t meet them after she had the baby but Miranda likely asked for her not to come

I like how you suggest some fresh interpretations of some storylines, like the one with berger, you explain it so completely, I have never heard this version Personally, I have always loved bunny, she’s a funny lady and I like how she never judged but made fun of Charlotte kissing the gardener And I hate the episode with nina katz, Carrie is super annoying there 😑 I absolutely hate the episode where they travel on a train with Samantha It’s like the most useless episode in the entire series It’s hilarious when Miranda says It better be brand new to Samantha 😅

Samantha and her siblings were raised in Connecticut by her mother. She moved to NYC as a young adult. She moved to L.A. for Smith but came back due to her love of the girls and NYC. Where exactly would the move/connection to London come from? Samantha never expressed ANY desire to be in London. Why not have her back in L.A. or some other "sexy/exciting" city? Also, Samantha never asked ANY of them for money. This whole storyline is an obvious, petty, and passive-agressive shot at the actress Kim not the character Samantha. Isn't this what Kim complained about?
