the writing is boring and bad and no matter how glam the style or how good the actors are NOTHING can replace good writing. normally I dont say it, but the creators of this show needs to listen to its critics.

Yeeeeeees! I so agree. And the weak writing is especially glaring on a network FULL of shows with excellent writing. I mean, Succession, The Last of Us, White Lotus, House of the Dragon, Barry... They're all killing it. And Just Like That is coming off like something you'd find on Lifetime or Hallmark by comparison. Plus, we remember that the writing on the original show was good, so this is extra disappointing. Couldn't they at least have found a real comedian to write Che's act? I'd love to hear them say something actually funny.

AJLT is soulless. It has nothing to say about anything, which is the opposite of the original! The original tackled its emotional landscapes with wit -- I still think the abortion episode was one of the most deft explorations of that issue. This sequel series makes you realize that it's easy to have too much of a good thing. We didn't need one more bite of the cake. I couldn't help but wonder: do we get what we deserve?

I don’t know if that only bothers me, but i’m a little shocked about how much the gay characters are so disposable for the girls! There have always been this pattern in the series, but in the fist episode of this season, i got a little sad that all of the girls were ditching Anthony for the Met, and at last, almost not considering him as a human, but only a prop. It’s never approached and it only serves as a comic relief

I honestly think this tv show represents the 90s vs now. 90s tv was lively and fun with great escapism. Totally agree about new characters. There is a need for diversity on the cast, but it’s too much at one time that they can’t be developed enough for us to invest. I feel anytime there’s a scene without one of the main 3, I’m not that interested. They should’ve started off with maybe Charlottes friend on season 1 moving onto fake Samantha in series 2. Che on season 3. Allow those friendship stories and their storylines to develop.

Totally agree: Episode 1 was decent. Waaay too many characters, it felt like we were bouncing back and forth between 3 different shows (the voiceover would have helped out SO much), but watchable escapism, slow in spots, but decent. 6/10 is about right.
Episode 2 was a slog. Seriously, the longest 45 minutes of my life. So boring. LTW and Seema/Juan Jose were the only storylines that held my interest. At least the worst of season 1 was in the "it's so bad, it's a great hate watch" category, but this was banal and boring and a little cringy. Lily's song...where's that "woke moment" button when you need it? 2/10.

I never saw Carrie as a prude at all, so I was also a little puzzled by the failure to say a "certain word" on the radio. I thought maybe the reason was because ads are a necessary evil and maybe she didn't agree with selling douche. A lot of gynecologists' will tell women to just use a tiny bit of vinegar with a lot of water and to avoid perfume altogether. However Carrie doesn't say that, or the male writers don't say that. Anyway I love the show and this is a very good review. Thank you.

Every character they added in for all of these additional storylines is poc and/or lbgtq. So it got crowded. They wanted to make up for just having white women and men and now theres just too many people because they keep the people who have left a character by still talking about them. They either killed off, separated, or moved for work 4 white people. I got very tired of carrie talking about her dead husband every chance she got.

I think Che is literally the only good thing about this show. It should’ve never been greenlit. You knew that it was going to be all that it is and in a day where the fans are older and (mostly) wiser, it really needs to speak with more value than it had back in the OG days. We are still getting a pack of prudes in high dollar clothing that have little to no souls. They are well old enough to be better people, but none of them are. Just like the show Girls, it’s kind of a bummer to see that all of the men on this show are the adults with a mature mindset and the women are the brats even at this age. Now we all see the importance of Samantha both then and now. She was the true heartbeat of this show.
Aiden def is the reason they got this second season. Mark my words, that Samantha bit isn’t
going to show up till the last episode so they can sell you a bill of goods for a third season.

I actually liked Che so far. Big improvement over last season, and the Tony DAnza bit was pretty funny. I liked how excited he got over getting everyone's prounouns correctly. MIranda feels like she's going through a mid life crisis or something. Its still very awkward to watch her act like a 15 year old in their first relationship or something. And I'm kind of mad we didn't get to see the big reunion between Miranda and Che when Miranda showed up unannounced at their work. I fell like ltw is going to be a big storyline this season. Seema almost had nothing to do, which disappointed me.

First : who is this show about , sex n the city was about this 4 girls n just like that should be about the 3 girl (without Samatha) , first of all m irritated to see that Seema character trying to become the new Samantha. N all these decades the show was about womanhood and fashion suddenly it’s become a “woke / political “ n all that crap . Why do they have to force all that wokeness into the show. We had non binary characters before in the show , Carries gay friend and charlotte gay friends who got married and it was fun , it was lovely to see both the gay characters their style their dialogues , it was a blast show , it was real raw with all kinds characters. But now it feels like a politically, well measured wokeness written script trying to impress extreme leftist. Also they forgot their audiences , their audiences are from 90s , n we want to see in real world how people from 90s are now or feel now , I am in my 30s , I want to feel connected to other wonderful women in 30s through this show , I want to see them who will be in I guess their 60 living life so I get an inspiration. But unfortunately I feel they are targeting a different kind of audience and do not care anything at all about their old audience

As much as these present attempts at bringing back the great vibe of the original SITC, it sadly falls short of the mark on many levels…..however given all the negative comments primarily from woman, I suspect a lot of jealousy out there…..seriously ladies! It’s Sex in the City!!……as extreme and outrageous as some of the plots are, I personally have lived many of these patterns and dialogues as have many woman of the 80’s-90’s …..some of you are too young to get it! But most of you should in reality, because as nuts as many of these episodes are they are attempts be appear relevant mirroring our current issues and social climate
