Hello i come from hà giang. Very happy to you arrive in hà giang
Ah it’s a great pleasure to go there! Such a stunning place, my favourite in Vietnam!
@@alrightanton excause me I also love youtuber can I get your whatsap?
Haha whatsapp is a bit too much but if you need you can reach me on my IG!
Breathtaking shots as usual, Anton! That sunset from the accommodation is so mesmerizing.
Thanks Dina!☺️ Yeah that place was so nice to just sit, relax and enjoy the silence and views. Very low key and very peaceful. You should go there😏
@alrightanton I can see this, so serene. Maybe, one day. Indonesia seems to have beautiful spots! Thanks for capturing them so vividly :)
Also happy to share ☺️ Indonesia is magical. There’s so much to explore.
What on earth are flying foxes!? Oh man, I'm jealous of your Indonesian adventures!
Haha Google it man. They are gigantic! We’re waiting for you here Jonny! Come back and I’ll show you flying foxes!
Nice sharing and flying rules frend😊😊😊 enjoy drone i love drone also😊😊😊 full watching frend😊10:05
Thanks! Enjoy your flying too!!
The island looks simply amazing 🤩 the food doesn’t look much appealing to me though 🙈 Besides, now I wanna learn more about that massive tsunami 😳
Yeah that Tsunami story is pretty damn hardcore. I didn’t really involve everything about it, it’s a huge story, but yeah, that Boxing Day tsunami was a terrible disaster
Дякую, сонечко!!! Мені дуже подобається, як ти вмієш знаходити красиве у нібито звичайних місцях. Out of the bitten tracks,

loved your video. really informative and explained detailly. I am going Koh Tao next month for scuba diving license. really excited ! Thank you
Have a great time there! It’s a lovely island with some really cool diving spots! Good luck with seeing the whale sharks!🎉
The drone shots are so beautiful!
Thank you!! I spent quite a bit of time in that city which gave me plenty of time to film the city from all sorts of angles😅
Honestly, your work deserves so much more recognition! Great job brother ♥
Oh thank you so much for your kind words! With the current TH-cam rules it’s quite hard to gain much recognition when this is not my main job. But I’m rather stubborn and will keep doing this as long as there are some people who find my videos useful or pleasing 😊
Can you fly your drone at the Ban Gioc Waterfall?
Oh I’d be careful there. Be seen footage from there. I suppose people do fly in that area. But it’s right on the border with China so I’d be super cautious about flying my drone. And officially if you get met by police they’ll probably immediately say no. It’s really tempting but I’d think twice before flying there.
Beautiful video
Thank you!☺️ That place is so mesmerizing!
Hi man, how if you first time come to hanoi airport and bringing the drone? Is it safe when pass the immigration check?
Heya, nah, I don't think so. They don't even scan your bags on arrival. You just walk in and that's all. I've flown in and out multiple times and never had any problems with my drone there
@@alrightanton thanks man, greetings from Indonesia.. Im going to visit Vietnam soon
Ah lovely. You’re welcome to come here. My next video is actually going to be about another spot in Indonesia. This time it’s going to be about Pulau Weh!
@@alrightanton wow pulau we (weh island) that's good the westernmost island of Indonesia. I suggest you next come to, natuna island, dieng central java, mount ijen, bromo, komodo island, raja ampat island.. good spot for droning there
@@alrightanton btw, is there any bus from nobai airport to sapa pay by cash at there / ticket kiosk?
Very helpful thank you. Just recently moved to Vietnam. Considering a drone. But a lot of responsibility. How do you do with airports?
You’re welcome! To be honest I’m very never had any problems in the airports. People in the comments have shared similar feelings. I’ve flown from various airports in Vietnam and it doesn’t seem like the authorities care much about the drones. It’s not illegal to own them here. You have to be careful where you fly it but just carrying it around appears to be just fine
If the police confiscates your drone, you need to negotiate a price to get it back with him. Vietnamese police are corrupt and just care about money.
Yeah the police here can be sometimes rather “unfair”. They’ve stopped me on my bike a couple of times and after realizing I had all necessary documents still would demand a bribe for some made up reason.
@@alrightanton Right. I lived there 8 years without a permit. My permit was a bill of 500000vnd.
Fourth year for me here. Got a license but that doesn’t really stop the police…
How do I bring it there tho? Just carry on or? Any tips?
Just carry on. I’ve flown in and out multiple times now and no one seemed to really care about the drone. Drones are openly sold in Vietnam so I suppose just owning a drone doesn’t bother the authorities now. You may need to be careful flying it, yes, but carrying it doesn’t appear to be a problem anymore
Pity , that i had to watch so many ads to see this me, me,me instead orangutans
Haha well to be fair I’ve added every single shot of the orangutans that I saw there. This is a travel blog format. In a way I wish I could be making videos entirely about the places and not including anything about me much but then no one watches this stuff. Why would they if they can go to some BBC planet and see the same in a much higher quality format. My observation is that people do seek to watch things on the topics they are interested but in most of the cases a presence of a person telling a story plays a massive role in helping the videos to get more views. Rules of the genre
i have my trip for son dong cave , phong nha . can you please suggest me how to get permission for dji mini 4 pro
Heya. I think the best way will be to talk to your tour guides and see what they say. They are normally aware of these kind of things and can give some good advice. I often rely on locals, they have tourists traveling with their drones all the time and they are usually well aware of the common procedures.
What's your rating for lake Toba in 1 to 10?
Probably 7.5 It’s really good. Chill, relaxing, beautiful, place I stayed had some awesome food. I wish there was a bit more to do. It’s not very well developed so there’s a huge territory but sometimes not that much is happening there. For a relaxing holidays is just great. For high adventure seekers it may be a bit boring. It kinda depends on what you’re looking for. If you want to relax an enjoy the scenery without any unnecessary noise and hustle - this place is close to ideal. If you’re looking for thrilling adventures, noise and rumble but classy bars and restaurants then this place is certainly not for it.
3:33 don't forget to bring along poncho or light rain coat if possible which sometime the weather is very unpredictable. In 1992, I bring along with me two pieces extra large garbage bags, one act as an "emergency rain coat" and the other one of course I bring back all my camping garbage with me. 🤭
Ah yeah that’s a must too. Weather there is really unpredictable. Most of the time when I was there it was nice and sunny, but that’s a tropical island, things might change really quickly😅
Subscribed, liked and shared on my WhatsApp group chat your vlog jungle trail from Kampung Tekek to Juara Beach, Tioman Island. I did the hike way back in 1992 very early in the morning and reach the other side of the island before noon. I saw not much difference on the trail though, 😁🤭. I did camping by the beach and the next day took the "seabus" (hired boat) from Juara Beach back to Kampung Tekek. Prior to the hike, two days before that I was in Kampung Salang after took the ferry ride from Mersing jetty. Stayed over night camping on another smaller island called Pulau Tulai not far from Kampung Salang travel by seabus less than 15 minutes ride. The 1992 5 days, 4 nights travel plan to Tioman ended up me staying in Kampung Tekek for another 6 nights before I left the island back to KL via light aircraft from Tioman airport to Subang. 🤭😁👍
Nice! Thanks for sharing! The beauty of Tioman is that it is rather low key and the government seems to be happy about the way it is and doesn’t want to turn it into a huge Disney land (like they do in other places like Vietnam).
Is it possible to rent a drone on Vietnam to use for the trip? , as the laws back home do not allow us to carry Drones in my current country of residence
Mmm never really thought about that. Potentially… Could try to Google that but there might be a bit of a language barrier. What you could try is to get on those Facebook expat groups (for Hanoi its “Hanoi Massive” there are a few groups. I think one has been taken over by housing agents but the other is still functioning with real people , for Saigon I think it’s just “Hcmc expats” or something like that) Just possibly post there and see whether anyone responds. This could potentially work.
👀🙏🙏👏👏👏👏
Have you had any issues flying your drone? I'm planning to bring my Mini 4 Pro this june
Nope, no problems at all just stay away from the airport and military bases. Check the comments down below. There’s a bunch of pole who have been thinking about doing the same and some I think are actually in Da Nang now filming
Koh Tao is partially controlled by the Tuwichian family. My thai friends advise not to visit as even themselves they don't like to go there. However i did visit for 4 days but kept to myself late in the night. One hotel owner told me that the whole road next to the strip is owned by the same person who lives on the top of the hill and they all pay rent to them. Every video about Koh Tao must bring up the 30+ deaths on this island as it is not a joke recommending a place to someone that could cost their life especially naive tourists who have no idea and just want to have a good time in Thailand. A simple google search will reveal tons of info
Yeah I’ve seen comments about that before. Well again I can only speak from my experience, to me the island felt extremely safe. With all these travel places I would be more concerned about drunkards being completely out of their control after a boozy night. Koh Tao is not really a party island and feels more like for sporty/family people. I didn’t sense any threat there. As usual you shouldn’t be doing anything stupid but that’s the same rule everywhere. You piss off locals and they’ll come after you.
@@alrightanton What makes you think that the people that vanished were just drunkards? That sounds very ignorant. Even if that is the case does a drunkard tourist deserve to die or become food for the animals in the jungle like some of the victims? If you were a girl and a thai man made advances and you just were not interested would that mean "piss off locals" and deserve to die? What is happening here is surely something more sinister than that.
No that’s not what I was saying. I mean I would be more concerned of drunkards approaching me and try to get something from me. People getting wasted and deliberately trying to get into trouble with other foreigners on their holidays. To me that’s a bigger threat really. Obviously nobody deserves to die but genuinely this whole “Koh Tao Death Island” drama seems to be massively exaggerated. I spent a week there doing my license and exploring the island, and doing all that on my own and never seen any thing that could be considered as a “threat”.
Thank you for sharing,Koh Tao is really beautiful,I will visit soon ❤
You’re most welcome, I’m sure you’re gonna have a great time there!
Anyone already in Vietnam now and already flying their drone? Thank you!
I’m living in Vietnam and fly my drone here every now and then! There were a bunch of people in the comments who were heading to Vietnam, do check with them if you wanna do some joint drone shoots!
Thanks for this vlog! Really informative. I have a 3 day 2 night luxury junk tour booked in Oct, very much looking forward to it. 🙂
Oh nice. Yeah you’re gonna have a great time there! October is still a pretty warm season, the temperature will hold around 32 which is pretty much perfect for a boat cruise with that fresh breeze. You’re gonna have a great time!
I’m booked to travel in the north of VN in Oct. This vid popped up in my search. Thx for the info! That gave me a really good sense of what to expect as I have a day booked in Tam Dao at the bear Sanctuary, but it seems like another day of exploring locally may be worth while. 🙂 Will check out your other vids.
Oh thanks! Yeah Tam Dao is nice. Though my recommendation would be that you go there before reaching SaPa or Ha Giang. Tam Dao is lovely but it certainly loses in comparison with other spots in the north. I once made this mistake and went to BaBe lake after touring around Ha Giang. And well after that mind blowing beauty of Ha Giang , Ba Be lake didn’t really impress me😅 And it’s not because it’s not worth a visit, but mainly because Ha Giang experience was overshadowing anything else I saw afterwards 😂
Does i need drone license for fly in vietnam
I think technically and legally probably yes. But in reality no one really asks for it and there is no clear way of how this can be done.
If you intend to fly a drone you should obtain a license which will inform you of the rules. You should not fly a drone within 5 km of any airport! Same applies to a motorcycle license without one you are not insured! I am just flew into Danang with my drone without comment from customs. I would be careful of offering to pay any official as bribery is a very serious offence!
I own a motorbike incense which didn’t stop the local police from demanding a bribe. Not gonna go into details but yeah, owning official docs in Vietnam doesn’t always mean that no one will try to get something from you. With airports the drone app won’t let you take off any near of them. Maybe with a side app you could do that but I wouldn’t recommend that especially in the restricted areas. But did you end up obtaining that license?
Was looking for this, thank you. I'm flying to Vietnam next month and plan to shoot some drone videos in Phong Nha, Cat Ba and Ninh Binh.
You’re welcome and enjoy the filming! Those places are really good for this, I think mountainous areas are probably the most suited for drone filming!
Thank you for visited our wonderful Batak's Toba (Bataknese) hometown called "Toba Lake". Sibea-bea Hill in Samosir Island great also, next time you should try to go there. Horas 🙏😊
Oh all the pleasure is mine! An absolutely charming place, really enjoyed my stay there!
I married a viet, built a house. Nice place. I do admit i get restless and like traveling around vn. I think i am more a mountains guy yh sd n a beach guy.
Yeah, I suppose Nha Trang is a good place to settle down, busy as any other city in Vietnam but probably not as much as Hanoi or Saigon
@@alrightanton yea but we get better weather. That's a big thing for me over hcm.
Yeah I think so. Well the weather is a bit nicer and the traffic is a bit lighter. But then it’s much smaller and doesn’t have as many cool places as HCMC does. I suppose it is all for the personal preferences really.
Im going in June. Will try to bring my mini se. Thanks for this video sir.
Good luck sir! Safe flying there, Vietnam is a great place for making some drone shots!
Thanks brother I am also visiting with my mini 4 pro to hanoi in June 🤞
@@GhumakkadSachin when is that bro my bro?
@@alrightanton I'm praying it will go smooth
You should be have any problems in Hanoi. I’ve flown in and out with my drown multiple times and never experienced and issues with the border control
Nobody can deny the beauty of Koh Tao. However, please be cognisant that this island is controlled by the Thai mafia. Lots of people have had mysterious deaths here, the latest victim being a 32 year old British teacher. Be respectful of Thai culture, and please respect the Thai people. Saving face is very real in Thailand.
Yeah I think being respectful is a general rule wherever you travel. I never really felt threatened there but probably again because I was careful and didn’t do anything stupid.
I am planning to visit Da Nang in the May end for a week trip. I have DJI Mini 3 Pro. Will I face any problem at the customs or with airport security?
I don’t think so. I’ve never experienced any challenges with it. And we’ve just had a guy in a comments who has travelled to Da Nang and took his drone with him and he had no issues with it at all
@@alrightanton Thanks for the information...
Wow! You had such a close encounter with the wild animals 🤩Thank you for the video!!! I could have never done such a hike, but it is such a pleasure to see the jungle and its wildlife this close from the video 😍
Glad you liked it☺️It was quite a bit of a challenge. But yeah those encounters were one of a kind really…
@@alrightanton I don’t doubt that 😋
th-cam.com/video/zPJ_tqc5eMc/w-d-xo.html Was watching this video and you appear at around the 4:54 mark. Think a good bit of your excellent footage has been used, just in case you wanted to flag it.
Hey Dave oh thanks for letting me know. Yeah that’s quite of an odd one. It feels like they’ve set up some AI generator that almost automatically generates videos every two days. And looks like it is using footage of other people that it can find on the net. I did not receive any message from them asking to use my footage so that’s rather weird. Let me check what’s on about them

Haha sometimes they can chase you down on the ground! Where do you use your footage?
Koh Tao's reputation as "Murder Island" hasn't gone away. A British tourist came up dead there a couple of weeks ago - it's in the news. The island is mafia-run and can get ugly very quickly. Unfortunately, by spending money there you are automatically giving it to rapists, killers and their protectors. There are numerous videos about it here on YT and even a whole channel called "KOH TAO MURDERS DEATH ISLAND" run by an Aussie lawyer. When I was there a local Thai held a knife to my neck over nothing, and they pulled a dead guy out of my resort's pool after a night of partying. Very dangerous, and a lot goes unreported/gets covered up.
Yeah I saw his channel. I was rather surprised. When I was there it get as one of the safest places ever. A small tropical paradise with some peaceful and fun living divers. But then yeah when I started digging into its history it does look a bit grim. Not sure whether it is that dangerous. I stayed there for almost a week and I felt totally safe, I didn’t have any unpleasant encounters there unlike maybe in Bangkok. I suppose a rule of thumb will be to be careful wherever you really go. Because at the same time it would be such a shame to miss this island just because of these stories. It’s such a nice place to be!
Thanks for going into details and explaining the pros and cons of the hike
Glad you liked it!☺️ I tired to make it a little more personal than my other videos to give a bit of a taste of how it would feel like to go on a hike like this. I hope I managed to show it right😅😊
@@alrightanton sorry to hear you got food poisoning. I know those tours are not cheap and on top of that they fed you unsanitary food
Ah I wouldn’t blame them for this, none of my friends got the poisoning just me. I think it was more of a problem of my stomach that it couldn’t adjust to a new diet quickly, we’d eat rice three times a day, I’m not really used to that and then just the whole physical pressure was quite a lot so I think my body just couldn’t handle it anymore😂
Hello Anton, I’m gonna fly to Vietnam in 2 weeks with my cinelog 35 v2 fpv drone that uses 6S lithium ion batteries (I’m taking with me 5 batteries). I’m really scared to take it with me because after some internet research I’ve done it says I need to register my drone. I’m scared that when I enter Vietnam (from Bali) I have problems in customs and the police just for bringing my drone without this permission even if I’m not flying it. I would appreciate to see your opinion in my situation and have the best advice from you the expert. Thanks a lot!
Hey man, my opinion is that you should be just fine. I’ve flown in Hanoi international airport multiple times with my drone and never had problems, I’ve had other people here flying to Da Nang - no challenges. I think the chances are rather low that you will have any issues with it. It is hard to predict though. Vietnam has rather strict laws, most of the time they are not enforced, but sometimes depending on the police it may happen. That’s why no 100% guarantee really. Though I think you should be just fine, I would expect more challenges when flying it here. I wouldn’t do it in a very open public. People might freak out (I imagine your drone looks pretty impressive) and call the police and they will order you to stop your filming. But launch it further away from the crowds and you should be fine.
@@alrightanton thank you so much for the help and advices. I appreciate it and I’ll take the shot taking my drone. Great video with awesome shots btw.
Thanks! Once you're through do let me know how it went! Lots and lots of people are asking about it😅
@@alrightanton I will let you know once u finish my trip and send you details 👍🏼

Planning to get a drone and this is very helpful. I'm working here in Vietnam for 11 years.
Nice! Yeah Vietnam with its landscapes is a great place for filming. Which one are you going for?
Hi, could you please tell me the name of the bay at 6:36? Thanks

How about the weather in June?
I’ve never been there in June, I heard it can be a little bit more rainy than in February but at the same time it’s still not the rainy season. So still should be good enough to go
@@alrightanton I thought June was already rainy season
I checked here, apparently their real rain season is in October/November... www.sunheron.com/asia/thailand/southeast-thailand/koh-tao-weather-climate/#:~:text=Koh%20Tao%20(Thailand)%20is%20a,94%20%C2%B0F)%20in%20April. Well, it's also important to note that those are tropics, it can rainy any time really. Just in some seasons it rains more and in some less...
