    I just stumbled on your vlog! I love your drone shots of Halong Bay. I was there in 2008 and stayed a night on a junk, but not the luxurious one you did. I watched a few of your videos, can I give you some constructive criticism..... I found it hard to hear you talking as the music was louder than your voice at times. I had to struggle to hear what you were saying. Perhaps you can keep that in mind for future vids. I love Vietnam and you showcase it very well. Cheers

      Hey Jody! Thanks for your feedback! Yeah I feel sometimes I am a bit too much into the Kai if I choose for my videos and the subconsciously crank it a bit louder so that the viewers would hear it😂 Plus I usually check the sound on my high end headphones and on them everything is usually easy to hear. But then it doesn’t always work the same an other devices, will note that for the future😌

    Thanks for this vlog! Really informative. I have a 3 day 2 night luxury junk tour booked in Oct, very much looking forward to it. 🙂

      Oh nice. Yeah you’re gonna have a great time there! October is still a pretty warm season, the temperature will hold around 32 which is pretty much perfect for a boat cruise with that fresh breeze. You’re gonna have a great time!

      Ah it was lovely indeed😍
      Sometimes I am so tempted to do the trip again.
      It's such an easy and at the same time pleasant option for a short holiday outside of Hanoi.☺

    I can't even imagine how hard it was for you to squeeze yourself through that narrow cave with your height!

    • @alrightanton
      @alrightanton  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yup, pretty tough😂 I basically had to crawl and how that nothing gets in my way😂😂😂

      Thanks!☺️ Ah it was Orchid cruise. Pretty decent. Good food, comfortable ship, they really tried their best there!

  • @doodahgurlie
    @doodahgurlie ปีที่แล้ว

    You chose the best option as the people whom do the shorter cruises were often swarmed by other tourists (some even say the cruises run out of food!)...that to me is not a vacation. The people whom get the best experience often opt for the 3-day cruises where the cruise lines have their own islands and such to explore vs everyone huddling on Ti Top island like sardines. It's too bad you couldn't fly your drone more as you do amazing drone footage all over Vietnam. I liked the crawling in the cave at the end. :)

      Thanks!😍
      Ah yeah, that single drone flight did feel like not enough.
      I was first tempted to go there again to make more footage of Ha Long Bay but the thing is that I already have got some much footage from other places to work with that postponing was not making any sense. In case of what I'll just do another trip to Ha Long but this time entirely focused on drone filming😂

      @@alrightanton Sounds like a plan! I know from your Ninh Binh video, you've got the talent for it....and as you said in the Ninh Binh video, you would have done more had it not been for the weather melting you.

      Yeah... Sometimes it's hard to find those perfect conditions especially in equatorial countries where it's either too hot, or too humid or too rainy😂

      Yeah it is… A funny thing though just a week before the video released I saw a news on one of Vietnamese sites that the Vietnamese government has taken action about it and has cleaned the whole bay! Not sure how true this is but glad that at least they are realizing the problem.

  • @doodahgurlie

    I think you've still a few places in Vietnam to explore, though. Ha Giang Loop (and other northwestern parts of northern Vietnam), Ba Be Lake, Da Lat, Phu Quoc, etc. :)

    • @alrightanton
      @alrightanton  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Oh Ha Giang is coming up next! I've got some epic footage of it, last holiday I spent about 10 days riding around that area and filing stuff. That video is going to be something special!
      After that though I think I'll take a break from Vietnamese trips, I did a couple of trips to Thailand and Malaysia and now a trip to Indonesia is coming up, so next chapter is going to be more of international journeys!

      It's amazing... My favourite spot in Vietnam. Absolutely maginificent and mind blowing.
      Been there two times, won't be surpirsed if there will be a third one!
      Have you been?

      @@nocancelcultureaccepted9316 And what should you care since you think Japan is awesome? Maybe you should become Japanese already and stop watching one Viet video after another. What's with the extremely unhealthy obsession of watching every. single. Viet. video. just to say the same. damn. thing. year after year? Maybe you should spend your extremely valuable time, resources, and energy on videos that meet your expectations, align with your standards, and world views; expend your platitudes and compliments there vs being repetitive and obnoxious elsewhere.

    Hey Anton Very nice footage but how did you get the permit to fly in multiple locations? We applied already twice in two locations and both applications were denied. Further how much did you pay? We applied both times via the Vn portal and were told specifically that Nha Trang beach is a NO FLY drone zone even under

    • @alrightanton
      @alrightanton  ปีที่แล้ว

      Heya, yeah I've never done it through the formal way. Knowing vietnamese bureaucracy I don't think this is a doable task. And as far as I know no one really gets these permits. I guess they are for bigger, more commercial shoots, particularly in restricted areas, like city centre of Hanoi or Da Nang. For the rest of it - Vietnamese government currently doesn't enforce the permits. Might change at some point, but not for now😅

    • @RickyR-n7b
      @RickyR-n7b ปีที่แล้ว

      100% illegal to fly a drone in both HLB and especially Nha Trang. There is a flight path directly in from of the Nha Trang beach which prevents fly a drone at ANY height.@@alrightanton

    • @alrightanton
      @alrightanton  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hmmm strange, never noticed that. Could have been changed, Vietnamese government is known for changing laws and rules overnight. Maybe it's their new inititative.
