Дякую!🤩😍🎉 Радий що навіть таке собі, «технічне» відео сподобалось😌
Вже працюю над новим відео! Новий сценарій вже написаний, залишилося тільки відредагувати його і готово
Was looking for this, thank you. I'm flying to Vietnam next month and plan to shoot some drone videos in Phong Nha, Cat Ba and Ninh Binh.
You’re welcome and enjoy the filming! Those places are really good for this, I think mountainous areas are probably the most suited for drone filming!
Planning to get a drone and this is very helpful. I'm working here in Vietnam for 11 years.
Nice! Yeah Vietnam with its landscapes is a great place for filming. Which one are you going for?
Thank you for all the tips 😄 can't wait to get some awesome shots!
Glad that you found them useful! Vietnam is really scenic, in a way a paradise for drone videoshootin!
The drone shots are simply amazing 🤩 I think it’s also worth mentioning different birds trying to attack your drone 😄
Haha oh yeah I forgot about that😂
But you know, drone flying topic is huge, I think I can make 10 more videos about flying a drone, still not even close to running out of info😅
This is a super helpful video and thank you for sharing this in-depth. I'm flying to Vietnam next month to Ho Chi Minh City and arriving at Tân Sơn Nhất Int. Airport, I was wondering if you know how strict they are there. I'm carrying a Mavic Pro (big one). Anything would be appreciated.
Never flown to that airport but will actually do in two weeks time. My anticipation is that nothing is gonna happen. Owning a drone in Vietnam is legal so I don’t think they can stop you just for owning own. There might be some challenges in flying it, Vietnamese police is really inconsistent when it comes to drones. But most of the times you should be just fine
Nice video thanks for the tips! What framerate and shutter speed did you use for your footage, I'm torn between using 60fps/120 or 24fps/50 or 30fps/60 ? Also, I guess using a mini 4 pro should help not making too much noise compared to bigger drones right ?
Ah I usually stick to 24/48 as it is the most cinematic. Your use 60fps only if you wanted to slow it down in post and veeery few people use slow motion in drone footage. Theoretically it could be used at very low altitidue passing shots but that’s a very low fragment of video making. Most of the time the drones fly so high and slow that you’d actually be more likely to speed up your footage than slow it down
@@alrightanton Thanks for the answer dude, I appreciate it. On my videos i've always used 24fps / 50 but I've seen many cases where you get a slight jerky effect when flying close to objects or fast panning in the background. Apparently going to 30fps/60 fixes this issue and everything is smooth, videos are showing this especially one called "The #1 Secret for CINEMATIC Drone Video without Judder, Stutter or Jerkiness" on youtube. So I'm probably going to try this for my next one in Vietnam/Cambodia.
Hmm that's interesting, never really thought of doing that... I suppose for low pass, close to objects shots it can be quite useful... Though in my practice to be honest if there was some really tough environment to shoot at I think even a slow-mo wouldn't help that much. But yeah, it is something to consider. I imagine with fast moving objects it would look more cinematic and smooth too.
Very helpful thank you. Just recently moved to Vietnam. Considering a drone. But a lot of responsibility. How do you do with airports?
You’re welcome!
To be honest I’m very never had any problems in the airports. People in the comments have shared similar feelings. I’ve flown from various airports in Vietnam and it doesn’t seem like the authorities care much about the drones. It’s not illegal to own them here. You have to be careful where you fly it but just carrying it around appears to be just fine
Im going in June. Will try to bring my mini se. Thanks for this video sir.
Good luck sir! Safe flying there, Vietnam is a great place for making some drone shots!
Thanks brother I am also visiting with my mini 4 pro to hanoi in June 🤞
@@GhumakkadSachin when is that bro my bro?
@@alrightanton I'm praying it will go smooth
You should be have any problems in Hanoi. I’ve flown in and out with my drown multiple times and never experienced and issues with the border control
Hello just watch your video, planning go to Vietnam and landing into Hanoi Airports on this April planning visit Sa pa, Ha Long Bay and Ho chi Minh but i want to bring my drone there are some post drone got confiscated on airports. What do you think about this? And planning to bring 2 drones Dji Avata and Dji Mavic 2 but im scared they will get confiscated haha, I really want to bring my drone to get some awesome footage in vietnam.
Heya! I don't think you will have any problems in Hanoi airport. I've flown in and out of Hanoi airport with my DJU Mavic 3 multiple times and never had any problems with it! Again I wouldn't guarrantee it, Vietnamese authorities can be rather unpredictable and sometimes it is hard to predict what they will do, but personally I've never had problems with them!
@@alrightanton do they xray scan for passenger arriving in hanoi airports? As i known visiting country like bangkok airports, they not xray for arriving passenger.
Yeah that's the thing, they don't scan your bags on arrival. You just go through the passport control and that's it!
Hi Anton, it's interesting to see all these nice shots taken in Vietnam. May I know where you shot the scenes at 5:33 and 7:07?
Hi Dina, oh thank you that you asked, did not expect that! Those lovely shots were made in Ba Be lake, not to be confused with Ba Vi which is in a totally different locations!☺️😂
@alrightanton oh, good to know. I guess they're different 😄
Love those Ba Bi lake shots! That's the first time I hear about this lake, though. I'm glad your videos beautifully show all those different places.
Thanks Dina! Yeah I made those shots ages ago but never really had a chance to use them anywhere, and this video appeared to be a perfect place!
@alrightanton Well, it seems you have great drone shots of Vietnam. You make it look really interesting to explore 😊
Haha yeah I've collected quite a bit of them! And Vietnam is interesting to explore. It's a really vivid country. Full of contrasts!
Hey thanks for video
I'm coming to Vietnam. Can you tell me where can I buy drone it in Hanoi and how much will it cost......
Heya, buying a drone in Vietnam is not a problem, you’d easily find it and it will be reasonably priced. I bought my first drone here: maps.app.goo.gl/SsdWtjBRCzCQEzFa8?g_st=ic but then the second one I just found on Facebook second hand which may be a better option.
i have my trip for son dong cave , phong nha . can you please suggest me how to get permission for dji mini 4 pro
Heya. I think the best way will be to talk to your tour guides and see what they say. They are normally aware of these kind of things and can give some good advice.
I often rely on locals, they have tourists traveling with their drones all the time and they are usually well aware of the common procedures.
Is there an app you use that you’d suggest before flying while in Vietnam?
Heya, just a DJI fly app will give you most of the information on restricted zone.
I would also use their web-version, it's pretty convenient and super easy to navigate through: www.dji.com/global/flysafe/geo-map
How do I bring it there tho? Just carry on or? Any tips?
Just carry on. I’ve flown in and out multiple times now and no one seemed to really care about the drone. Drones are openly sold in Vietnam so I suppose just owning a drone doesn’t bother the authorities now. You may need to be careful flying it, yes, but carrying it doesn’t appear to be a problem anymore
Is it possible to rent a drone on Vietnam to use for the trip? , as the laws back home do not allow us to carry Drones in my current country of residence
Mmm never really thought about that.
Potentially… Could try to Google that but there might be a bit of a language barrier.
What you could try is to get on those Facebook expat groups (for Hanoi its “Hanoi Massive” there are a few groups. I think one has been taken over by housing agents but the other is still functioning with real people , for Saigon I think it’s just “Hcmc expats” or something like that)
Just possibly post there and see whether anyone responds. This could potentially work.
But do you need a permit?
Good question.
A flying app will let you fly without any permission in most of the places in Vietnam. The city centre and other areas are an exception.
I have seen sites where it says you need a permit but none of those sites look like official government websites so I can’t really trust them. Especially given that I’ve never seen anybody requesting it from any drone pilot here.
Might be a case for flying a drone in restricted zones or big projects but for “recreational” photoshoot it doesn’t seem to be a case
Bloody hell! 'Deported or put in prison'! That would certainly ruin a good holiday! 😂
Haha not that much fun eh? That would definitely spice up the holiday!
Can you fly your drone at the Ban Gioc Waterfall?
Oh I’d be careful there. Be seen footage from there. I suppose people do fly in that area. But it’s right on the border with China so I’d be super cautious about flying my drone. And officially if you get met by police they’ll probably immediately say no.
It’s really tempting but I’d think twice before flying there.
Hello Anton,
I’m gonna fly to Vietnam in 2 weeks with my cinelog 35 v2 fpv drone that uses 6S lithium ion batteries (I’m taking with me 5 batteries). I’m really scared to take it with me because after some internet research I’ve done it says I need to register my drone. I’m scared that when I enter Vietnam (from Bali) I have problems in customs and the police just for bringing my drone without this permission even if I’m not flying it.
I would appreciate to see your opinion in my situation and have the best advice from you the expert.
Thanks a lot!
Hey man, my opinion is that you should be just fine. I’ve flown in Hanoi international airport multiple times with my drone and never had problems, I’ve had other people here flying to Da Nang - no challenges. I think the chances are rather low that you will have any issues with it. It is hard to predict though. Vietnam has rather strict laws, most of the time they are not enforced, but sometimes depending on the police it may happen. That’s why no 100% guarantee really.
Though I think you should be just fine, I would expect more challenges when flying it here. I wouldn’t do it in a very open public. People might freak out (I imagine your drone looks pretty impressive) and call the police and they will order you to stop your filming. But launch it further away from the crowds and you should be fine.
@@alrightanton thank you so much for the help and advices. I appreciate it and I’ll take the shot taking my drone. Great video with awesome shots btw.
Thanks! Once you're through do let me know how it went! Lots and lots of people are asking about it😅
@@alrightanton I will let you know once u finish my trip and send you details 👍🏼
@@bilifafuuu6290hi friend! Have you visited Vietnam, Da nang? Did you have any problems with drones at the airport?
Hi man, how if you first time come to hanoi airport and bringing the drone? Is it safe when pass the immigration check?
Heya, nah, I don't think so. They don't even scan your bags on arrival. You just walk in and that's all.
I've flown in and out multiple times and never had any problems with my drone there
@@alrightanton thanks man, greetings from Indonesia.. Im going to visit Vietnam soon
Ah lovely. You’re welcome to come here. My next video is actually going to be about another spot in Indonesia. This time it’s going to be about Pulau Weh!

Does i need drone license for fly in vietnam
I think technically and legally probably yes. But in reality no one really asks for it and there is no clear way of how this can be done.
👀🙏🙏👏👏👏👏
Hi friend. Will my drone get seized at Da nang airport? I have heard horror stories. Thank you i advanced for the response :-)
Hey man, for some reason everyone is so concerned about Da Nang airport😅 Well I can’t predict what the authorities will do this time, but I have flown from Da Nang to Nha Trang with my drone in a hand carry luggage and no one really cared about it. No one asked a single question. I’ve flown from Hanoi with my other , bigger drones and no one expressed much interest in my drone either. Funny enough they appeared to be more concerned about my power bank than about those massive batteries of my Mavic 3 drone😂
Thank you for the response Anton. Very much appreciated. It seems you are flying within the country though am I correct? Looks like international flights is the problem. Is it true?@@alrightanton
Not sure about that. I've flown in and out of Vietnam multiple times now, did trips to Malaysia, Indonesia, the Philippines, all from Hanoi ariport and never really encountered any difficulties with that. My drone would usually be in my hand luggage, so on the way out theauthoroties don't really care about the drone beacause you're gonna fly it outside of Vietnam, while when you enter Vietnam on the way back, your stuff gets scanned in the country you are coming from, but then when you land in Hanoi, the hand luggage doesn't get checked. So there is no physical way they would even know what you're carrying. I've never done intrentation trips in/out of Da Nang though, so not sure how they handle it.
yeah that's the rub! International flights to Danang. The people there for some reason are notorious for seizing drones. I really don't understand why they should be able to seize someone's personal property. But corruption seems to be a reason as stories of extortion to get your drone back are all over the net. I guess flying into other cities internationally is ok but...Da Nang for some reason...they WILL take it if you fly international @@alrightanton
Interesting. It is a good question why would they. Drones are not illegal to own in Vietnam. You can easily buy them in any shop here. Authorities may have questions about you flying it in some places but just transporting it I don’t see how legally they would be allowed to confiscate it. At the same time yes, bribery is a bit of a problem in this country. Situations differ from a city to city, e.g. traffic police normally doesn’t bother foreigners in Hanoi, while in Saigon the situation is right the opposite, foreigners get stopped frequently.
Anyone already in Vietnam now and already flying their drone? Thank you!
I’m living in Vietnam and fly my drone here every now and then! There were a bunch of people in the comments who were heading to Vietnam, do check with them if you wanna do some joint drone shoots!
Just fly away from others.
I fly a drone as well
DJI Mavic3 Classic
Haha sometimes they can chase you down on the ground!
Where do you use your footage?
