Tired Of Waiting- Solo Hot Tent Campout

I was so tired of waiting for a break in the weather so I just grasped a moment and went for It! I had been longing for an overnight in my hot tent ,a night without too much wind and so when an opening occurred I packed up , set up and totally enjoyed .Being out there in my tent just reminded me of why I so much love camping. Cooking a great dinner, sitting by the fire and being in the moment meet all my needs. Please join me in this solo overnight. #womencamping #solocamping #wintercamping

Come along with me as I bake my first lasagna on my combination twig stove and billy can /oven. It turned out to be much easier than I would have thought and it was delicious. I used my Bushbox lf twig stove , a baking kit from Firebox , my billy can and some briquettes along with some yummy homemade tomato and ground beef sauce. #fireboxbakekit #bushboxlf #campfirecooking

I recently purchased a Bush Box Lf twig stove from Bushcraft Essentials along with a small stainless steel grill. This is my first time using either piece of cooking gear and I was pleasantly surprised with the success of the experiment. Woke up to a gray and drizzly day. To brighten my mood I knew I needed to get outside. Milo was happy to come along on a a fall day hike to breath some fresh air and get some exercise, medicine for the mind, body and soul. With up a hike up a local hill, a walk beside a lovely lake and great company we both returned home happy and content. #hiking #womenhike #doglife

We set out with our rescue dog Milo for 2 nights in the van. His first such camp out we believe. We arrived to a significant wind and rain storm which made being outside very uncomfortable and somewhat unsafe. Come along and see how we managed and how or if Milo adapted. After a drive from the east side of Vancouver Island to the west side in the van I arrived at Pachena Beach Campground for a great camp right on the beach . Listening the ocean waves roll in, walking the sands and taking in the beauty I topped off the day with a steak cooked over a beach fire- It doesn't get much better than this. #pachenabeachcampground #vancomping #solocamping

He came to us August 25 and we have all been working at our own adjustments and attachments since! Right now he requires a lot of our time as change is very hard for him.
