Yeah buddy! They are awesome edf units. A 64mm edf that makes as much power as a 70mm is pretty great.

I did post some pics of RC Groups here www.rcgroups.com/forums/showpost.php?p=52115279&postcount=16606 Basically I emended carbon bar on the top of the wing to bolt down the edf. And simply used hotglue on the bottom of the edf to attach the bottom to the fuselage.

Added Landing gear to it as well, works great!

@ILLSMOQ it's got so much potential! I might just get two and paint one in military grey, and fit the umx mig landing gears like yours

@@lewiemotorsports3616 it’s awesome with the landing gear. Tried to shoot some video with it over the weekend. Perfect take off but the motor burned and it went in. Needs some touchup and a new edf and will try to get some video again…along with the micro J20. Setting that one up the same.

@@ILLSMOQ nice!! Yeah I have the j20 (both versions) and they def need tweaking to fly right but definitely have potential. I think the j10 is surprisingly fast too. I’d love to see that video when the j10 is back in action

Yeah, it takes a few tries to get to go straight and then rockets ,pebbles and divots can push it off course. It also requires a long roll out before you can let it take off or it will stall. Once in the air, it flies nicely and the rudder works great.

Yes they are a lot of fun to fly. But takeoff is difficult

If you look at the description, I listed what packs were used for 8,9 and 10 cell thrust testing

I mounted the Esc inside at the back of the battery bay.

@@ILLSMOQyeah I was looking to see the combination you used like a 6s and a 4s or two 5s packs that’s what I meant ?? That would be helpful as far as weight as well

@@mr.maneuver287 Oh so 8s is two 4s packs, 9s I’m doing a 6s and a 3s pack and 10s I’m using a 6s and a 4s pack.

Yes it flew great once set up correctly. The pusher motor they sell for it is tiny and has already burned out. Definitely go bigger on the motor. But yeah it flew great after getting the reflex in the elevons.

No we did not. That was the problem. He found the reflex jig and set the elevons correctly. He has actually got a number of flights in on it as can be seen in my latest video. Thanks for the tip!

Thanks. We discovered this design needs alot of reflex. It actually comes with a kit to set reflex on the control surfaces. We will attempt to remaiden this weekend.

I saw a guy use a bungee method using a foamboard plane. He attaches the band with a hook while holding the two wings, and he releases it with his two hands, and then he turns the motor on.

It has wheels. Its not just skipping across the dirt and grass

Those alloy Mercury edf’s are super cool and make a lot of power for a 4s fan and they are very light. Not sure why they never really caught on…high amp draw is the only negative aspect to them but it’s not that bad. The canopy system, yeah it doesn’t seem like it should work but it does, I’ve had Funjets at 200mph and the canopy stayed in place as it should lol.

Yeah buddy! You’ll really like it. It’s such an easy jet to fly and land. And it looks really good😎 The landing gear is excellent, lots of travel and good spring tension, it soaks up even a harsh landing with no damage to show for it. Too many airplanes lol. Yeah. It’s just too easy to stock up on these things😂🤦🏻‍♂️. But this L39 is definitely a winner and worth having a spare 😜

@@ILLSMOQ Thank you! For me sadly it wasn’t so fun. I was concerned about the trimm, the gusts and the trees. And of course on learning how to fly a jet 😂🤣😅 But it was cool in the end. If I would had crashed seriously I would be depressed. But I’m still motivated on EDFs now :) I’m looking forward to fly with less or no wind and fly that things like on rails as they should be🚝. Yesterday she was been blown in every direction. I could put a AR631 or 636 in, but I don’t want to install a jet profile and those things. I’m too lazy. And in the club they will say that’s cheating xD Have you seen the two shorts? What I have found super cool is that this small lady goes up very easy from the gras, at least with headwind. Our runway is everything but smooth 🤣🤣 Cheers!! And thanks for motivating me on EDFS, before I wasn’t interested at all because I thought they would be extremely difficult to fly. But watching you one on your place opened up ideas 💡 :))

Man, I never used a safe receiver before this last year…now I put them in everything. They are just too good not to have safe there when you need it. Great! Yes edf jets are cool and fun!

I guess I haven’t made any videos in a while. I got a new Draco after the crash and she’s good. I also have two more Draco’s in the box. Haha. I better get to making videos again!

Jets are awesome! All three were maiden flights so I wanted to make sure they got up. Only the X-plus needs the javelin throw. Other two will fly out of my hand. …and Yes! I need to get back to videoing. I have been buy and building and haven’t had time to video and edit…I have video but editing take forever. I think I will do a different format. “How fast is it?” lol coming soon 🤙🏽

Yeah the battery ran out so the esc shut down. Some jets are quite easy to fly…some less easy lol The Wingsmaker F35 is easy The FMS is more difficult.. plus I made the FMS one really fast. After many crashes, I got the FMS sorted and the gutted the gear and transferred it all to a new FMS F35 😂. Flies awesome and fast now
