MODIFIED FX9630 J20 RC Stealth Fighter

Picked the J20 with the intent of modifying it with twin brushless 30mm edf. $55.00 shipped and delivered from Aliexpress, can’t argue with that
I gutted it and then thought I’d try a single 30mm edf first to try and keep it light.
I had an older 3s fan on hand (don’t know the specs) and gave it a shot.
130g flying weight and 90g thrust for about 70% thrust to weight ratio. Not exciting numbers.
It flies but it definitely needs more thrust. My next upgrade will be to swap in the powerful 2s QX 14,000kv edf unit. That should give it plenty of power, if it’s still not enough I’ll try twin QX 7,000kv fans on 4s.
I’m excited to see what I can do with this cool little fuselage.
