Intrebec here. You can thank me for influencing the community to run this card 😎🙌
Haven’t watched the whole video but let’s talk about Telepathy :p Mainly in TMo Keys enchantments list
In Krark-Silas, a lot of pilots run it. Having hand information along with what you are going up against can be very useful. It strips away all the uncertainty about a deck in tournaments and you can plan on how you want to disrupt ones win attempt way down the line. The best feeling is sniping a top deck tutor for just 2 life. Been running it for 3 months and can confidently say that it’s very strong.
Thanks for the anecdotally evidence!! I love hearing when players have had a lot of testing on a card we bring up. With krark it sounds especially good, as you can potentially see multiple opponent’s hands with the copy!
@@ThatsAGoodCardFree spells are extremely powerful with Krark. This also has the added benefit on being synergy with magecraft creatures like Archmage Emeritus and Storm-Kiln Artist. I had a game in a tournament recently where Surgical disrupted a Breach attempt through Sevinnes Reclamation trying to reanimate it. Graveyard Hate is super strong in this meta and this card just has the added benefit of also giving you all the information you need about an opponent. In another game in that tournament, Surgical Extration allowed me to see Kinnan’s hand and knew they had 5 counter spells to protect their Basalt attempt. Due to this, the table skipped their turn cycle in order to throw all their resources at the Kinnan player. When you know a player’s hand, they can’t sandbag and you can shift table dynamic to be in your favor.
Very interesting topic! Card knowledge people prowl for in my area What I think you should take a look into now due to post ban is Worldfire. The effect to exile everything and put each player to one has been very consistent to win the game for me. either casting teferris protection to protect my permanents or manipulating the mana cost by using mizzix mastery and casting teferris protection. Land+artifact destruction on one card specifically red has been my specialty in my study’s. Obliterate, Apocalypse and jolkulhaups have given me just as much parody
Land destruction has always been fringe in cEDH; but I’ve been tweaking with playing strip mine recently, as well as looking to boseju cradles from TNT players more often than I ever have.
specifically targeting lands most definitely. With these red spells I like to compare and contrast with Farewell. The variety leap ahead
Honestly in stuff like Dina or something, with low colors and willing to play slightly awkward shit to ruin people's combos, then I'd def consider it. Like right now there's sooo many combos that this hoses, even if it's not the best all the time it's still free and not blue. I will say too I think out of almost all the episodes this is among the most skill testy cards. I don't think I'm honestly good enough to make this card good since it's gonna be burning a hole in my hand lmao
Everything is playing out of the yard these days. It has me considering things like Leyline of the void again….
Lost in thought - black enchantment 2bb when this enters, draw three cards. At the beginning your end step, discard a card Art is someone wanting a road, dropping things behind them. Flavor text - it would not be the first time that a great mind consumed itself. And it wasn't the last -yagmaw As similar to you as always, as far off as always
Rabid Wombat 3RG, Creature - Wombat , Haste Trample Deathtouch, 1/1
Commander that needs to tap, playing a nice number of 1 drops? Codie maybe?
Codie uncounterable sounds awesome
Ok hear me out here... Serum Powder. I've been testing it in Kinnan because the mulligans can be rough at times / there are a lot of cards with similar function in the list which don't feel bad exiling. Worst case it is a 3 mana rock, which is crappy but not the worst thing in Kinnan considering it can tap straight away for 2. Could also be an interesting card in a Food Chain deck.. being able to exile Squee or the Griffin before the game begins seems pretty cool
This is WILD. I’m trying to think about how often I’d be down to just exile 7 cards from the game for the sake of a mull. Interesting card for sure!
Hornet Harasser - Insect creature - 2G 2/2 flying Whenever hornet harasser is blocked, created a 1/1 hornet creature token. Art is a guy swatting away hornets "What bothers me about the hornets? They don't let up." - Dominaria farmer Took a little of the same perspective as Do apparently, and about as right as him.
@@TarzantheNinja maybe my perspective is the one that’s off! The hornet is DOING the harassing!
Rhystic study
Hmm seems bad idk
I feel like if partners didnt exist, then this would be seeing so much more play. But since most people run partners which usually arent worth countering, that it just doesnt see as much play. But also it requires a commander that wants to have some combination of: wanting to tap/untap or attack, are wincons that can be countered, or you have blue and is expensive so you dont wanna tap out. Like in prime speaker vannifar I was playing it and HOLY MOLY it feels like its the perfect deck for this card.
I never thought about partners being a reason this doesn’t see play. The only partners I see get countered consistently are krark saka
Most slept on card in cEdh (and I am convinced to my core this will change) Aether Vial! I’ve had it in Tymna Sakishima and now Malcolm Tymna and the card is busted. Any deck that plays a lot of creatures and especially ones that need to not have summoning sickness Vial should be considered. It’s a better version of Savage Summonings You should do that next 🖖great videos
You’re the second person on this video who has recommended it!!! I’ll add your name on there too :)
@@ThatsAGoodCard Dude.. card is amazing
Can you guys do an episode about touch the spirit realm? I know you’ve spoken about it a bit before in a previous episode but I so rarely see this card and i think it should be a staple for white
We have it on the list!! I see it a ton in my meta in the PNW. I think I mostly see it in Kenrith and Atraxa!
I was testing this in preliminary drafts of my 5C Pod deck. I took it out during the turbo meta, but I’m considering putting it back into the list. The thing that wasn’t discussed (and I do think this is really important) is that for creature-heavy decks that also run stax (Ellivere, for example), Savage Summoning usually represents an instant-speed stax piece. Flashing in a RoL effect, a Drannith, or a Ranger-Captain is HUGE in response to a win attempt with Breach and other similar lines. I thought it was important to mention this since it wasn’t really discussed. Additionally, I will say that Pod decks that have 25+ creatures will see the best value for this card, regardless of if Thoracle + Consultation/Pact is in your colors, since stax creatures, utility creatures, AND win-con creatures are all affected by Savage Summoning existing in your deck. To tie it together with a previous episode, Savage Summoning into Drana & Linvala is pretty spicy. All of that being said, this card is definitely going to be a skill check for many pilots, whether you’re playing with or against it. If anyone decides to test this card in their list, play lots of games with it before you make up your mind; this is one of the cards that is heavily affected by variance.
1. Thank you for bringing up those points!! The ability to play an instant speed hate bear is something we didn’t go over at all! 2. Thanks for recommending this card!!!
@ You’re so welcome! I have a few more cards I’m testing to see if they’re worth the recs too, so hopefully they’ll pop up in the comments and the Discord.
Yo, you getting on league?
@@Chizek lmao
Imagine playing league of legends when I could be grinding cEDH
If this card can tripped it would be 10/10. But the cost of a card is not trivial
Another victim of speech to text (Also yeah i wish it drew a card that'd be BROKEN")
That counter would help the Pollywog too, nice card 🤘
I didn't even think of the frog!
"T&T players, you can remove a quote end quote staple, if it means your deck is functioning better." Please say it a bit louder for those in the back
I feel like a lot of these various cards generally fall under various umbrellas. Like, take out more counterspells for more gas if you want to be riskier/aggressive, or put in more counterspells if you want to be more reactive/defensive. A staple defense card being taken out for a more gas (even if unconventional) aggressive card might be a worth trade if the deck functions better, etc.
Y’all should like every 10 episodes or so do one on some fringe commander
oooooo we are always looking for ideas for our patreon content and this has been brought up a few times.
Total jank suggestion, but Pyre of Heroes. Kyle, you saw how quickly Atlas advocated taking action on me trying to resolve it this past weekend. In a Hulk deck, you can use it to Pod Tymna into Academy or Arena Rector and win the game. Super niche, and probably not high on the recommended list, but that's a good card.
added to the list! It was great meeting you at the tournament this weekend!!!
So excited for this card. I played so much of this card in Standard way back in the day
Blast from the past!! I love when magic cards cycle back to relevancy!
Y'all made me feel old with the ending segment. I played so many Hornet Harassers in limited back in the day
Lololol -2/-2 was POWERFUL.
lol how is it I've never seen this card before ? like this would be so good for my pir and toothy deck.
@@deamontube30 probably because it only got printed once!
This seems great w/ Kutzil
Kutzil, Grand Abolisher, Dosan.. all make them super protected!!
@@ThatsAGoodCard The extra buff w Kutzil is the +1 counter for draw triggers, so for him as commander (which trying to make viable) this seems auto-include
@@dave3269 I've seen one person play Kutzil as a cedh commander and it looked kinda cool! Bad colors for CEDH but with how many counterspells there are in cedh, having protection in the cz seems appealing.
That was my thought process! I’ve been playing t n t and getting in really long grindy games, everyone sitting behind engines, and a big way to win is either instant speeed on top or the easier way, is to get the grand abolished or Kutzil down!
Aether vial next please !
Added to the list! Thanks for the rec :)
Skyturtle is relevant all over the mana curve, is hard for opponents to interact with, has both an excellent low end and top end, even as a casual player I shove this sucker wherever I can fit it.
good episode i dont play blue farm tho its T&K Rhystic Breach 😜
Am I hallucinating or did I see an upload on TH-cam from you/somebody called "That's a Good Game" and it featured you two? I swear it came to me in a dream and I can't seem to actually find the video anywhere. The world wants to see your new Korvold list.
Look up things in the ice!!! We played a gameplay video with them!
Very interesting with that perspective in mind for blue farm. My secret support is valgavoth, terror eater. This and reanimate secures a big boi that acts like a bolas citadel mixed with dauthi void walker is busted
I’ve seen this a lot where bluefarm will have a secret bomb that helps them break parity in a game. I’ve even seen some Niv-Mizzet in the 99 XD
Kaisu drake : 3U creature - dragon 2/2 flying when this enters, return target nonland permanent an opponent controls to its owners hand

It goes very well in my high power Shilgengar deck
I've NEVER EVER been low on this card.
Also, a quick aside: Marvin, Murderous Mimic kind of operates on the same axis as D&L. Haven't had this happen yet, but D&L and Marvin on board for the same player can be a thing to deal with.
Thanks for the suggestion!!!!
Please keep talking about Orzhov cards. I have had this on my buy list for a few months, but also been sure that I had one. Listening to this, I took one last look in the binder, and there it was, behind another card! Can't wait to play it.

wow this is my favorite orzhov podcast
nvm this guy hasn't seen How to Train Your Dragon ??
WOW WTF
Like many other cards, this is one of those cards that has a huge bull's-eye on it the minute it is cast. But playing BW colors you can have an entourage of equally troublesome creatures like Voidwalker, Opp Agent, Drannith and Archon of Emeria. Fabulous card. A one-sided staxx that shuts down opponents while pro-actively advancing the power level of your boardstate.
When one piece shuts down multiple people; the target becomes MASSIVE on your head.

Land destruction is very underrated and sadly hated. I’ve been testing mardu - rograkh ravos soultender for a while as my anti win condition, hate bear and mass permanent exile/destruction
What I like about sky turtle is that the channel abilities cannot be countered because it is an activated ability and not casting a spell. Awesome card.
you convinced me when you said that bringing back free counters at instant speed basically makes this a counter spell. 😂
It’s a big aspect of this card that is overlooked!
Yes.
