I came from Yugioh. There we have Pot of Desires, a card that makes you exile face down the top 10 cards of your deck, to draw two cards. When it was released there was a debate if it was good or bad, because some felt the drawback was too high, you loose so many cards, but others correctly evaluated it as one of the best, if not the best generic draw spells in the game. When I saw Demonic Bargain in the bulk of my LGS, I knew it's a great budget (or bargain) tutor. The probability of exiling the card you want to search in a pile of 99 singleton is pretty low. Even lower if you run redundancy in your effects.
This was my favorite episode so far! Great discussion guys. On a similar note, I think lim-dul’s vault would be a great card to look at next. It’s basically vamp tutor for 2 and 0-18 life!
Playing cards that tuck what you are searching for to the bottom of your library could be helpful. Also, 13 cards are more than 14% of your library, even when casting this spell on turn 1.
It’s true! We didn’t directly mention it but it’s kind of interesting that you can mulligan down to 5 and keep bargain but tuck let’s say an Ad Naus and some lands. Draw for turn is a Dark Ritual, and now you want the Naus! You know it’s at the bottom so you can rip a Demonic Bargain without fear. Kind of interesting, but not super relevant most games.
Loved the card and discussion on this ep! Kyle brought up good points, and no matter what I believe this card will create some fun discussion around the table when it's played. I've definitely fired-off Demonic Consultation in panic as a way to crawl back into a game, so I enjoyed the comparisons. I think this card is gas if you're in a turbo list with a critical mass of interchangeable combo pieces, OR if you're like me and running a combo-less pile of redundant hatebears to annoy and and attack your friends with. I'll consider this one if the future, thanks guys.
@@nyxhighlander9894 I really don’t know how I feel about that card yet. The floor seems pretty damn low… but then again a lot of our cards have a low floor! I’ll add it to the rec list!
@ThatsAGoodCard it does I wonder what playable demons may get added to list just to raise the floor I like the new rakdos one from duskmourn that draws cards on fetches and git probes
In Pokemon VGC they always say: "If a move's not 100% accurate, it's 50% accurate" because it will always miss when you need it most 🙃14% chance of exiling your wincons is spooky
My initial thoughts on this card before hearing your arguments: It's too expensive. For such a high drawback I wish this was either an instant or 1 mana. It's good if you know the card you want is on the bottom of your library due to a scry. I will come back and edit this after hearing the arguments you guys make. Edit: I'm sold on it being good in a turbo deck. For Blue Farm (my deck), I don't like it because it sucks to tainted pact for value already and I get to stop whenever I want.
Any brew in those colors that is interested in card advantage that doesn’t already have it in the CZ should look at it. Amazing in Breya or Jeska Ishai (if anyone still plays those lol)
@@GoldSabertooth I feel like I see more Elsha and Narset over Breya and Jeska Ishai for sure. I was curious how many people still play Jeska Ishai since I haven’t seen that pairing in a long time.. Your list was the only one that came up on CEDH analytics 😂 (edit: that runs this card)
Hear me out, Pull from eternity, The risk is literally 0 Either you find the thing Or you use pull from eternity and, idk, use Lurrus to get it back into play
@@ThatsAGoodCard Im planning on doing it in a casual list, In CEDH though, probably not, Although I do look forward to the day where someone impulse draws, exiles until end of turn, plots or suspends something, and they did not expect the pull from eternity.
Could you elaborate more? You give no reasons why, and that just makes your statement extremely childish. Clearly you have your reasons, and I present to you your chance to raise your previously projected maturity levels.

Love hearing how this effect sees success in another TCG!!! I’m quite high on this card :)
What they said but after 5ish cards you probably won’t see those cards anyway

Cedh demands that you try to “high roll” 100 card singleton and 4 players means you have to get lucky, so let yourself get lucky

Krark/Silas. Bet the house. No fear.

Gamble has burned me so many times i had to take it out of my deck. i don't think i can mentally handle it haha
Entomb is a good card, gamble MUST BE GOOD.
Demonic Bargain vs Scheming Symmetry ? Go! (Rograkh | Tormod turbo list)
edit: I run both now w/e :D
I think bargain over symmetry. I’ve tested symmetry a lot and it just never feels as good as you want it to feel.
