Fact check: Pyrokinesis is in my primer list! It's been in there for awhile. It's crazy good. (And thanks for covering the FIRE of Pyrokinesis, y'all!)
Hungry Mist brought back the best memory for me! Homelands came out about a year after the first Lion King movie, and we had this thing at school where if you cast a Hungry Mist you had to tap your mana, then slowly put the Hungry Mist on the table while saying, 'Simba....' 🍻
Great card in low color red decks, I've had it pop off in Krark/Saka killing multiple creatures, and it's great in a deck like Godo when all you need to do is get rid of a pesky Drannith or oppo!
I had to take this out of Slicer due to the fact I play 39 colorless cards and card advantage is hard for me so ditching the card really hurts. Keep up the good work guys.
I've kept it in specifically because of we're bad at maintaining card advantage anyways but having a *free* answer to a dranith magistrate is really valuable to me.
Oh man I love free cards that nobody ever thinks about. Sometimes you get that spidey sense that someone's about to play the Forces or a Deflecting Swat. But ain't nobody gonna guess you have a Pyrokinesis. I really liked using a Foil in one of my non-cedh decks because it was always the biggest surprise for the same reason.
I've actually been to Magic Christmas Land with Pyrokinesis before. Nothing quite like taking out Magda, a dwarf, Rograkh, and Ragavan at instant speed.
I think that pyrokinesis is just good enough for mono red, but even then, red is very bad at keeping their hand full. So overall, I would rather run abrade.
@@dasfabelwesen abrade seems like the true litmus test for if a card is good enough to run. Personally I think the ability to hit multiple opponents at once gives a slight edge to pyro over abrade. Abrade is one of the first things I’m cutting in a multicolored deck.
You should do Fomori Vault next

Love this one for magda! Definitely a debate on using it on anything multicolor.
Past two colors it gets murky!
