Everytime I see you guys upload I get excited to see what card is being debated next. Id love to hear videos about Mosswood Dreadknight and/or Retraced Image.
@@ThatsAGoodCard Yeah in a format where a lot of the same cards are played it can be useful to cheat out some mana costs of things and if worse comes to worse in that thada adel deck it can ramp you a land.
Magical Christmasland for this card: play it early, draw 3 Play necropotence/necrodominance draw many Sac necro in end step and either draw 3 more or force your opponents to sac their engines. In 2 turns, with 6 mana (or 7 with dark ritual) you've drawn like 30 cards and still have half of your life total.
Pro tip for magic cons: bring a trade binder. I managed to trade up to a unlimited version of a tropic island with random cards I didn’t use. It’s a great way to declutter and get something nice. Also for any art enthusiast you can connect with artist and ask if they are doing future events. I met Ryan Yee at an art con in a similar fashion
Another black card for you guys; Force of Despair. It has an alternate cost of exiling a black card from hand and it destroys all creatures that etb this turn. So it can stop Dualcaster Mage combos, Nejeela combos, hell, even Field of the dead combos. I feel like if you can destroy at least three creatures then it’s worth it’s cost
I like it. I think you want it in a grindy list that wants to go long and has arguable draw otherwise. Maybe like tevesh thras? Also I wonder if there's something to be said for being able to stack your triggers such that you can sac a necropotence/dominance before you're forced to discard then exile. How about Phelia, exuberant shepherd? Ive seen it used to open a window for yourself and close it again shortly after you shoot your shot.

@@TarzantheNinja wow!!! Thanks for playing along and sharing your guess :D half the time we don’t know if people actually listen to the ending segment!
Pretty good in gitrog, Lord windgrace, Tergrid (fringe decks but this is a fringe card,) and I don’t think the sacrifice artifact was pushed enough. You sacrificing a lotus petal turn it hit three player with an ultimatum of step behind by ripping a rock or giving you more resources.
@@ThatsAGoodCard No idea if I won, but I distinctly remember the first few turns. I was able to draw into mana vault and then get enough of a board that I didn't mind the sac. ended up drawing around 10 cards with Braids. I think I tapped out and died to a thoracle, but the begining of the game was super fun!
I'm surprised yall didn't actually bring up any lists with braids to look at. Some people are experimenting with the card, although not at the tournament level. It would just be nice to see examples of how players build their decks with the card
We mentioned a few lists that we see it in our own pod, Raffine, Tevesh/Kodama, Marneus. More competitive lists that Braids sees play/testing in: Rog/Tevesh (maybe any Tevesh list) Tymna/Thrasios Basically if the deck has a lot of dorks or tokens, you’ll see people testing it!
If rhystic and mystic didn't set such a high bar, i think cards like this could be feasible and increase the diversity of card choice. What do you guys think of point systems like in Canadian highlander?
@@eoy5006 personally, I don’t see a need for any more bans or a point system. I like the cEDH meta as-is and though certain decks see a lot of success, I think those decks see success because people aren’t willing to adapt or change their once tried and true list.

I’ve definitely have gone turn one dark ritual into braids, sac land, go to discard pitching a demon, turn 2 reanimate

Braids i have been running in my rakdos lists, often drawing 3 cards per cycle.
HEAT!
