Thanks for watching... amongst others, there were 2 main reasons we chose the Frankfurt - Brussels - London route (1) Convenience of transfer: At Paris, one needs to change from Gare de l'Est to Gare du Nord (Eurostar terminal), which is a 15 min walk or 1 metro station away. This might be easy for regular travellers, but perhaps not for first time travellers. At Brussels, the Eurostar terminal is at the same location where trains from Germany arrive (Bruxelles Midi) (2) in my opinion, tickets from Frankfurt to Brussels are usually cheaper than to Paris (Eurostar prices to London are similar whether from Paris or Brussels). From Menaggio, we drove to St Moritz via Maloja Pass..then onwards to Morteratsch glacier viewpoint. From there we returned to Menaggio via Bernina Pass. The route description is provided in the video. You could also take the train from Varenna to Tirano, and then take the famous Bernina express into Switzerland.

Thanks for watching... unfortunately, Berner Oberland passes are only valid till Oct in 2023 (although in 2024, the validity is Apr-Dec). There is no alternative. For the Jungfrau Region only, you could look at the 3 day Ski pass (which also includes all the trains, cable cars in the Interlaken - Jungfrau Region, excluding Schilthorn).

Not possible due to U.K. immigration requirements, U.K. is not in the Schengen area or EU for that matter. German place names pronunciation not bad!

Thanks for watching...Yes, as per the Jungfraubahn website , the train service (wengneralpbahn) from Grindelwald to Kleine Scheidegg via Alpiglen is still operational (other than periods of planned maintenance). Many people still use it as an alternative to the Eiger Express.
