    The So-Called Travel Expert brings you a short video of a 24h trip to Paris. This was in the company of my parents (senior citizens), and so the travel plan had to be adjusted accordingly, so as to not be too hectic for them.
    As we were in Paris for only 1 day, it was not possible to visit all the attractions, and we had to prioritize the places we visited.
    An overview of the travel system in Paris and the best day travel pass is also presented. Join us as we visit the Notre Dame, the Louvre, Arc de Triomph and the Eiffel Tower
    Please feel free to ask questions in the comments section if you need any further information.

    Very much informative. Your detailing on travel plan is useful to independent travellers to cover all tourist locations.

    Great video! Any information on the Navigo pass? Would you recommend it for 2 days in Paris?

    • @socalled.travelexpert
      @socalled.travelexpert  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for watching...as far as I am aware, the Navigo pass is only available as a 1 week or 1 month option...so for shorter trips, the mobilis pass is a better option.

    What is difference between Mobilis and Visite pass?

    • @socalled.travelexpert
      @socalled.travelexpert  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The main difference is that Mobilis is a flat rate day pass, whereas Paris Visite also includes some museums in addition to the transport. Check out the ratp website for more info on the Mobilis pass.

    I came from Uk in Schengen visa to France.. I can directly go to Switzerland using my visa.. or I need to go back to uk then I need to come Switzerland ? Pls advice me

    • @socalled.travelexpert
      @socalled.travelexpert  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Schengen visa is valid for Switzerland, so you can travel directly from Paris, as long as you have a valid Schengen visa

    Thanks much for the informational video. Is it recommended to travel by car from Germany or by public transport? If by car, what and how are the parking options in Paris.

    • @socalled.travelexpert
      @socalled.travelexpert  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Train travel is recommended (~3.5h ICE from Frankfurt). Parking is expensive...hotels could offer parking for ~€20 (depending on the location). Don't forget there are tolls on French motorways (~€0.10/ km).

    Thanks for the video. This will help for my visit in October. If I buy a day pass for zone 1 to 5, Will that cover traverl from the charles de gaulle airport as well?

    • @socalled.travelexpert
      @socalled.travelexpert  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thanks for watching. I think it includes travel to CDG(but best to check at the station in case rules have changed). Otherwise, bus no.350 & 351 also offer cheap transport (2€) between CDG and Paris centre. Please check out the ratp.fr website for up-to-date information.

    Hi, I'll be in paris for 3days 4 nights. We are a family of 4. So what is cheaper/ convenient for us as this is my first international tour, day travel pass or the buying the tickets on the go?

    • @socalled.travelexpert
      @socalled.travelexpert  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks for watching... buying tickets on the go is almost always more expensive than a travel pass.
      Depending on where you stay, you could look at either Mobilis or Paris Visite travel pass. Mobilis allows you to buy a pass between any two zones (1-2, 1-3,1-4 etc), whereas Paris Visite only allows zones 1-3 (central Paris) or Greater Paris (outside zone 3). Have a look at ratp.fr for the options (they also have an English website)

    Great information!
    How much does a day travel pass cost?

    • @socalled.travelexpert
      @socalled.travelexpert  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The cost for a Mobilis day pass between zone1-4 is shown in the video (along with details on how to purchase it at an automated ticket machine).
