The So-Called Travel Expert brings you a short video covering a train journey between Heidelberg (Germany) and Venice (Italy). If you want to avoid the hassle of low cost airlines (remote airports, inconvenient flight timings, exorbitant luggage charges etc.) then traveling by train is highly recommended. Here are the details of our journey...
Train Journey 1: Frankfurt (Germany) to Villach (Austria) via Munich & Salzburg (~8h)
Train Journey 2: Villach (Austria) to Venice (Italy) (~3h)
Tickets (1st Class) for 2 adults & 1 child: €100 (purchased 3 months in advance)

Thanks for watching...we booked via the OBB (Austrian railways) website as it was cheaper than booking through DB (German railways)... always best to compare all options for the best deal👍
