2024 Lotus Emira V6 Manual Review- Why It's The Best Enthusiast Car for $100,000
Today I review the 2024 Lotus Emira and explain why it's the best sports car for $100k. This particular car comes with 400HP and a 6 speed manual gearbox. It's loud, lightweight and looks like a super car. The interior is one of the most modern and updated ones you will find in sports cars today. The Emira keeps the enthusiast aspects of the Evora but updates all the prehistoric stuff the Evora had. The suspension is very comfortable despite being the "sport" version, which makes me believe the touring suspension is not necessary unless you don't plan on pushing the car in the corners. The Emira can be daily driven and tracked reliably. With a Nissan powerplant and years of a refined lotus suspension, everything on this car is set up to be pushed hard without issues.

For that amount of money I would buy a BMW M240i
If your goal is to "blend in with the crowd", then the 240 or the M2 are the ones to get. When I spend $60k+ for a sportscar, it'd better stand out. The GR Supra fits that bill.

I don’t think 0-100 will matter because you’re not going fast enough to have drag on the car aerodynamically. I did a 0-60 test on my 911 GTS review though 👍🏻

I hate you so much because you are allowed to make the windows black at the side and front, so jealous😂 nice review, i drive my yellow supra since years , its my daily car summer and winter, and i love it . But as a one who drive it daily i want to share what i dont like, Suspension, its not good , the car fight a lot, with kw3 its much better, but i still have crazy bumpsteer at high speed, greetings from german Autobahn . Not often but also the strange abs behavior sometimes. And the feel of the steering is not at the level of a gt86 wich i drove daily before the supra. But i love my supra, sometimes i turn my head around like a small boy... to watch my car when i walk away🙈🤣
how does it handle in the winter here in Germany? I come from a country where you never even need winter tires and now live here in Germany and I am going to be buying the 2024 as soon as it comes out? can I daily it? how does it handle in icy roads? what winter tires do you have on them or recommend?
@@buk0wski697depends on area and winter . This year was bad because of weather condition, snow meldted, and freezing again. A lot of ice, in the middle of the road, and i am very low with kw v3. It was very painfull sometimes. In Winter the car is much worse than a gt86, or mx5. But it depends on the Winter and road conditions. Mx5 , and gt86 is not so heavy, in the Winter. You have to drive carefull, but its easy if you can handle that a lot cars behind want you to drive faster. Even small funny cars are annoyed behind you🤣. When you can handle that you are slow in the Winter and at bad conditions, than daily is not a problem

I currently have a GTS build with a freeze date quickly approaching. I noticed you do a lot of track driving but did not option the full bucket seats. Is that something you regret not getting?
I tried to get the bucket seats but porsche was not offering them when I ordered my car. Looking back on it, I actually like the 18 ways. They look really good and I can keep the rear seats. The downside to buckets is that they lose the rear seats and they don’t fold forward. The 18 ways have really good side bolsters so no issues with sliding around the seat on track days. I would not get the 14 ways though
@@carswithnate makes sense. I think if I end up moving away from the FBS, I’ll go with the 4-ways to keep it as light as I can. I read across several reliable sources that 18-ways add 60 lbs (30 lbs each) over the 4-ways. Thanks for another cool video.

The main reason fir my change is the color I have a black gts and man it gets dirty so fast. I need lighter color might be a gts targa even
The turbo S is great if you want an upgrade. It’s so fast and sounds a little louder than the GTS as well.

Yes because the turbo S has a bigger engine than the GTS. Turbo s has a 3.8 liter engine whereas the GTS has the 3.0 liter engine 👍🏻
I did the opposite! Changed my Turbo S to a GTS and bought a GT3 also :) The GTS feels lighter and more sporty than the Turbo S. It´s heavier and more GT-car!! Of course it´s a matter of taste!!

It's a factory exhaust but only built for European models. You would need to ask your dealer to source one
