  • Today I review the new 2021 Audi Q3. I go through the exterior, interior and quirks of the car. I will then drive the car through various tests and give my final opinion on whether or not the car is in fact the best SUV for under $40,000.

    I got the 45 premium plus s-line and I love everything about it. I just added blacked out 20 wheels and it looks amazing.

    The lower front grille is solid for mounting a license plate. Something you don’t have to worry about in Florida.

    Thanks for a great video!
    Does anybody know - what is the transmission model is? Is it Aisin or ZF, or smth else? And what is the max torque it can handle? :)
    Thanks in advance)

    Hey!! I just got my new q3, I was wondering if the long term memory mpg adjusts after driving for a while? currently i am getting 13 mpg on the long term mem.

    • @carswithnate
      @carswithnate  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes it does adjust for me, however I’m not sure how often it “resets”. Sometimes after parking the car it resets and other times it changes based on how I’m driving (fast, slow, Highway, street, etc)

    The Car doesn't have the Eighteen inch rims in this case but the 20 inch rims. The closed front side Is for the international license plate that they also use in Europe

    top HP at 228 for the fast version......thats good to know because the new 2022 brz/86 is 228 HP nd they (a car) does 0-60 - 6 seconds, SWEET!

    • @carswithnate
      @carswithnate  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      That’s probably because the BRZ is much lighter than the q3

  • @WDholm27
    @WDholm27 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    What I was puzzled about is underneath the front part of the car where the oil pan is should be a bearer cover for noice reduction and protection.

    • @WDholm27
      @WDholm27 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm going to check with the dealership to see if that bearer can be added.

    Do you find the power to be enough? I'm looking at this model. Concerned about what seems like a potentially underpowered engine?

    • @carswithnate
      @carswithnate  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      If you only plan on driving the car as a point a to b driver, then it definitely doesn’t lack power. However, if you’re looking to race other cars and/or take it for a spirited drive, the power is a bit underwhelming

    • @ams914
      @ams914 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@carswithnate Thanks, I'm looking for a practical vehicle. The opposite of my Mustang GT LOL. Just need to make sure I can actually pass people on a freeway. I know a lot of these turbo-charged SUVs are absolute dogs.

    • @vixprops1261
      @vixprops1261 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@ams914 I test drove one and its actually surprisingly sporty (for an suv). It definitely can pass cars on the freeway and from a standstill I think it can beat most cars. Take one for a test drive and you'll see what I mean.

      I just bought the 45 S line premium. 228hp. Listen. In dynamic mode it drive with the power of the 250hp lincoln corsair. I traded my Corsair for the Q3. The Corsair s 250hp was the selling point for me. But too much plastic and cheap material. It was a 2022 and I couldn't take it, so I got out of it in pretty good shape. So my Q3 45 S line premium gets up like the 250hp Corsair in dynamic mode. Cruise mode gives you a different ride, yet with power. If you have doubts test drive the 228hp 45 S line. If you go with 188hp Q3 then expect it not to have a lot of get up.

    Why en Usa don't sale the q3 sportback?

    • @aspenknight7237
      @aspenknight7237 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The Audi board of directors decided in 2019 against shipping the Q3 sportbacks due to too many necessary changes under antiquated federal laws. For example, ALL cars sold in the US must have tail lights located on a non-moveable section of the car. If the car is a hatchback, there needs to additional lights on the non-movement area. 🖖😎

    Is multicolor ambient lighting an option with this model?

    • @carswithnate
      @carswithnate  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes the audi “q3” as a model has the option for ambient lighting, however it is not on this S-line trim. You have to order the premium plus trim for color changing ambient lighting

  • @evanmiles7252

    Yeah, the exhaust being on the bottom is due to emissions efforts being pushed on manufacturers.

    • @carswithnate

      This car is from Florida, however I assume most $45,000+ Q3’s are the “premium plus” package not the “premium” package

      The S Line Premium was around $38-39K, now its around $42K. Premium plus is typically over $45K. Ive seen those prices in FL & the DC area.

    That seems like a very awkward place for the volume

    • @carswithnate
      @carswithnate  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes because there’s not really any buttons by the gear lever so the volume button is placed underneath the infotainment

    • @aspenknight7237
      @aspenknight7237 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The volume knob is for the passenger. The driver has volume control on the steering wheel.

      @@evanmiles7252 I agree...one passenger of mine tuned the radio to some kind of West Virginia bluegrass music. It was so soothing I dozed off nearly killing everyone in the car. So yes the driver should always have 1st dip in music selection. 🖖😎

      The vehicle is keyless entry, keyless start/stop. Do you really care what the key looks like? It is in your pocket. I know when I go car shopping, the first thing I ask the salesman to see is the key fob.
