If I may suggest to help keep your Supra happy and running fault free and for many miles? Get an Oil Catch Can if it has a PVC valve. Why re-run oil "fumes" through the intake manifold causing carbon deposits when you can just re-use the actual oil? A low Temp Thermostat around 160 degrees. Heat is the worst thing for an engine and long term reliability. Heat also causes thermal and viscosity breakdown of all fluids. Remember, a thermostat doesn't completely open until 10 degrees over that stated temperature. AMSOIL. 100% Synthetic, not "Full Synthetic" which is a blend. It is more "up front" cost, BUT you can go 10,000 miles safely between oil changes. So in the end, the cost is about the same. 100% Synthetic is 4 offers 4 times more lubrication. If you wish to stay with "Full Synthetic" oil think about a high quality additive like Archoil. It's what Jay Leno uses! That's it. NASACR uses 160 degree thermostats, and I figure if it's good enough for NASCAR (or Jay Leno) it's good enough for my car. lol You should enjoy many worry free miles, and your engine will love you for it!
@@johannjohann6523 Will this help blow by? I am going through 2 quarts of Motul 5w30 every 1000 mi and its excessive for sure, was getting same behavior from stock 0w20 oil. There is no smoke coming from the tail pipe when I use camera to observe it, but the oil is going somewhere! There are no leaks in the engine bay that I can see around the engine block or turbo. You can tell, while driving this car, that probably 75% of the development budget went in to the driving experience. Its a beast. Its as close to supercar you can get without paying 100k, and I'm convinced that unmodified well-kept examples will be priceless in the future

I have a 2022 Tungsten Spra Premium. This is my third Supra and so far is my favorite. Lots of love everywhere, too much sometimes haha. I sometimes just put a chair in my garage and drink a few beers looking at it.
Best track time at ecr w/supra? Also, general comparison to 992 911 on track non-gt3? Have a supra sitting at 2:04 - 2:05 with aero, tune ,ap front brakes, and 200 tw tires. But thinking of switching to 992 CS as it felt similar performance without mods.
stock setup w/ hankook rs4 tires the fastest we got was 2:07. The 911’s feel way better on track, night and day. I run 2:01-2:02 on stock setup on my 992 gts. The Carrera S with sport design and pdcc will be the same speed as your Supra stock.

I own a MKV Supra, and it's a great car, but your comments about the Corvette are pretty stupid. The C8 Corvette is a very good handling car, and it has a very good interior. It also isn't pretending to be a front-engine car. So, the "authentic" comment doesn't make sense. Also, the DCT transmission in the C8 is better than the 8HP auto in the Supra, though the 8HP is good. Also, the 8HP is not better than the previous gen M2's DCT. It's smoother in daily driving, sure, but it doesn't shift faster. The current gen M2 has the same 8HP transmission as in the Supra. Also, Toyota did not tweak the B58. They did nothing to the engine. The B58 is already reliable in other BMWs also. You are saying a lot of incorrect things in this video. EDIT: And you called the 8HP auto a dual clutch. lmao. It is NOT a DCT. It's a torque converter auto. Bro, you need to be better educated before you make videos like this.

Call me crazy but I love yellow cars. And this still looks good.
What year is this one? That front end and headlamps have tons of pits and chips already. Is the paint really that soft? My 2023 I already see pints and lint inside the headlamps smh 😢
So many haters of supra, its a great sports car for the money. But I will stick to my lovely BRZ with a manual more exciting to drive. The beauty of a sports car is in its simplicity in my opinion.
I can vouch, after driving some modern cars - talking mainly the newer BMWs - that steering feel is pretty much nonexistent. The BRZ/GR86 has great feeling in comparison. That is definitely something the supra could have used, better steering feel.
6:06 - Too bad you can't get "MY VEHICLE" in the form of an App, so if you need air, you can just pull out your cell phone while you're putting air in the tire and monitor the amount of air you put in.

It's funny when you think about the fact that Buick didn't want to hurt the feelings of Chevy, so it advertised that the official horsepower of the GNX was 275 hp when in reality, it was kicking Corvette and Countach ass all over the roads. Not often but also the strange abs behavior sometimes. And the feel of the steering is not at the level of a gt86 wich i drove daily before the supra. But i love my supra, sometimes i turn my head around like a small boy... to watch my car when i walk away🙈🤣

It was very painfull sometimes. In Winter the car is much worse than a gt86, or mx5. But it depends on the Winter and road conditions. Mx5 , and gt86 is not so heavy, in the Winter. You have to drive carefull, but its easy if you can handle that a lot cars behind want you to drive faster. Even small funny cars are annoyed behind you🤣. When you can handle that you are slow in the Winter and at bad conditions, than daily is not a problem

The Z can't cone near the track times, the nismo doesn't have a manual option and is much more expensive. The Z at the supras price point doesn't compete and the supra delivers those perfoemance numbers to most all its drivers not just the professionals that managed to get those numbers on a perfect day with perfect launches. I've raced a few Zs already in my 21 supra and my 2017 m240i rwd and they couldn't come close to either car. Then once modified mod for mod the gap open up to bus lengths even red-light to redlight
Noup, I own a 2022 Supra, the 400z is a whole tier below, Materials, Tech, design, and most of the 400z y 20-year-old engineering. Under the hood and under the car the 400z looks like a rat nest. The 400z reminded me of my 1987 MK3 Supra which was great at the time but outdated these days.

All I can say is, "Good Luck!". And don't forget to keep $5-10K extra in your bank account annually after the warranty expires..or, heaven forbid, the timing chain tensioners or guides, or timing chains themselves start wearing prematurely and need replacement.

The Supra is more unique than the c8. Toyota kept the same design of front engined and rwd + super tunable. Objectively the Z is worse than the supra in every metric. Slower on the track. Worse handling. Slower in a straight line. Supra is better quality on the inside. Exterior looks more exotic on the Supra. And really you bring up sales figures? Toyota sells every supra they make and allocations aren’t easy to get. I’m pretty sure Toyota could sell more if they wanted and isn’t the Z cheaper anyways? I’ve never heard someone say they’d want a Z over a 3.0 supra.

If your goal is to "blend in with the crowd", then the 240 or the M2 are the ones to get. When I spend $60k+ for a sportscar, it'd better stand out. The GR Supra fits that bill.

Compared to most other sports cars I’ve driven it’s easier to get in and out of. Mostly since the seats are flat on the edges
