- Today I am showing everyone what happened to my 911 GTS. The two Porsche dealers that I have went to in order to fix this issue have not solved it so far. I wanted to share this with everyone today so other 911 owners can see this and hopefully not have the same problem happen to me.

Just wanted to update everyone:
I called PCNA as a commenter had recommended about this issue and they immediately had a local dealer warranty the tail light so all is good now 👍🏻
Thanks for the help
I was sold a 911 that had a pitted windshield. Car was dirty when i test drove it. The dealer wouldnt replace windshield. I called PCNA and i got a call from dealer, new windshield and a $ 250 credit voucher
Like many Porsche owners here I have the same problem with my Porsche 1 : 18 scale version of this car.
Hi Nate, Thats quite informative . I have a 992.1, 2023, Carrera GTS 4 . I noticed the same humidity issue on the passenger side tail light ( and not on the drivers side) three months ago. It disappeared. The last three days it’s been raining significantly and I noticed thehumidity and condensation reappeared.. I am hoping that will be replaced by PORSCHE dealership, as they have been very good to me in the past. I’ll keep you updated.
Call Porsche of North America. They will light a fire under a dealer’s ass
Have you tried putting duct tape on the top of the taillight?
I've had the same problem with my 991 GTS cabriolet. It was under CPO warranty, so I brought it back to the same dealership I purchased the car from 6 months prior. They declined the work stating CPO doesn't cover the tail light, but I was able to escalate to the service manager for a good will repair.
Nice. I just contacted PCNA and they made the dealer replace the tail light.
Trouble is it leaves a bad impression...it’s ridiculous
If you ever need a limited edition GT3 or better don't go to that dealership 😂.
I had same issues on my 2011 997.2 GTS it was under dealership warranty for used Porsche when I purchased it in 2022, they changed unit same day, and gave me half day Porsche driving experience ❤ that was in UK, but dealership is very hit and miss..I also own a Toyota Yaris GR 4WD that had gearbox issue, they were very very helpful
My 2024 911 T schedule to be delivery some time January 2024
boy, hope I wouldn't have such encounter!
thank you sharing your experience with such crazy issue.
This is not acceptable in a Toyota Camry or a Nissan Altima either...
Nice move contacting pcna.. if there's ever an issue, always look towards the next step. Most of these dealers just don't want to eat the costs unless they are backed by porsche.
I have the same problem with my 992, it's on both taillights. I noticed it after washing the car but it dries out within minutes. I did not take it to the dealership. After seeing your video, I am thinking about talking to them.
Seems like a few people are having the same issue. The difference with mine is that it takes many days to fully dry
Hi Nathan, Thanks for the video. Just wanted to let you know that I purchase a 2022 Carrera GTS back in 2022 and still own it. I have had my share of warranty work done and some problems are still persisting. Although I have not thankfully had the tail light issue this time.
#1- Wind noise comes from the Driver side door window, took it to my local dealer and they had the car for a month and could not trace the source of the noise. The noise would occur driving at 60 km/hr or more but was livable.
#2- The driver side speaker was rattling from day 1 , took it to the dealer eventually and they replaced the speaker. A few months later, the vibration noise was still coming from the surrounding area of the driver side bottle holder well besides the speaker. Took it to the dealer again and they added some extra clips, can't say for sure if the entire noise has gone.
3#- After about 22k on the car , the driver side sport plus seat is now squeaking when sitting and driving. Have booked an appointment with the local Porsche dealer for warranty work. Hopefully they can resolve it hassle free.
My point here is that the 992 911 models are not trouble free, and the manufacturer should resolve these quality issues from the beginning. I also had a 2021 992 Carrera S earlier which had a interior roof vibration from the back and some tail light water residue from the rain, which would eventually disappear. I can understand how frustrating all this can be, good luck.
I also have the wind noise on driver side issue but just got used to it at this point
You are lucky that you only have this water leak issue. My friend got his 23 GTS with Aero Kit that has all kinds of issues ranging from electrical to engine. The dealership told him to open a case with Porsche, and now he is in the battle for Lemon law. The worst part is he waited two years to get this car with his config. If your google Porsche they are now ranking 3rd in the amount of Lemons they produce.
Nate, I have a 718 Spyder with the same issue… and I got the same pushback from my Porsche dealer … the car went in twice and the final word from Porsche was that the condensation in my rear lights were within tolerance!!!… so they could not/ would not fix it as a warranty case!!! Very very disappointed with the dealer and Porsche for not rectifying an obvious design flaw
I would reach out to PCNA. When I told them about this issue they immediately had the dealer replace my lights.
Sometimes i get that condensation after i use my power wash but it goes away in a couple of minutes. 22' 2C. But never looks like "water".
I have read ppl in rennlist forums taking it for regular service and telling the dealer to wash the car, the condensation comes up, and you can point at it and say hey it happened also here at the dealership.
I don't think its a porsche 911 thing cause same thing happens to the wife's GLE, but like mine goes away in a couple of minutes.
Thanks for the comment. Unfortunately mine lasts 4-5 days before drying. Hopefully when I go back in they will sort it out
I had this same issue on both sides with my Tesla Model 3 and they warranty replaced both without hesitation.
I wish i had that experience! Porsche dealers need to figure it out
Best of luck to you. As a new 992 GTS owner myself I'm curious to hear how this turns out. @@carswithnate
Yes indeed, Porsche dealership should replace it without charge !!!
If your name was Taylor Swift, it would have been fixed without any issues. Nice channel by the way so I will subscribe. Found by accident.
Toyota did this to me with a 2018 base Camry...they wanted $1k for one headlight... normal wear and tear "Platinum 8yr Warranty"
I have a 992 also and the quality control on delivery is abysmal, my issues are noise related and very disappointed by quality control.
I agree with some quality control issues with rattles and poor manufacturing. PCNA just warrantied my door cards on my 992 911TT due to the glue being exposed under the leather on top sill.
There must be a poorly fitted seal between the housing and the outer lens/cover. The cost of these cars means nothing less than perfect is acceptable. Personally I wouldn't use a power washer on such a beautiful machine as normal garden hose is plenty powerful.
This is not ok... You are being way to nice to the dealer. Stick to your guns like Dylan said
Call the head office
I never wash my 2019 GTS with a high pressure wash. It's my weekend car and I feather brush it and do a wet rag and dry rag wipe down. No chemicals no hose down. It's stays in pristine condition.
I don’t think the pressure wash is bad for the car. All the professional detailers use pressure washers
I always pressure washed my cheap and old cars and NEVER EVER got water inside the headlights or tail lights.
Same thing happened with my 992 GT3. Porsche quality control is borderline 💩 these days.
I agree there’s a lot of random problems the 992’s are having that aren’t typical for porsche
Name the dealership
Name dealers involved
If you bought a car , and it’s yours. You can to use consumer rights , and take with you lawyer .and everything will be done. Good luck.
That is not normal. It should be replaced.
What ultimately happened? Picking up my 992 GTS in 60 days🎉
I called PCNA and they made the dealer warranty the item. 👍🏻
Contact corporate, not the dealership & explain in detail…. Send them the link to this video! It’s not an inexpensive car!!
Anyone else wonder who the 2nd service stealership guy works for? You know he doesn’t have fish tank tail lights.
Porsche Plano. Their techs are great though but the service advisor was the one who told me they won’t warranty the light at all.
@@carswithnate I’m down in Boerne, hoping the San Antonio service guys aren’t about these games. I’ve only felt with the sales side which needed a $5k adm. I didn’t have a trade in and I’ve never bought a Porsche from them. The good part for you is there is a few dealers near you. Thanks for posting the videos, enjoying them while I wait for my 911T.
@@6172crew1 hopefully all goes well with your experience in San Antonio and enjoy your T
@@carswithnate thanks, brother. Would be nice if PCA gets a massive get together going with DFW, Austin, Houston and San Antonio together. My sis lives in Argyle and I see a ton of Pcars up your way.
Lame. Stick to your guns! You are in the right. Don’t put up with that
For sure man. They need to sort it out
Put it in the garage dude.
There’s already cars in the garage lol
