Hi Sir can you recommend me a school near at San Antonio Texas? Thanks for the reply
Nothing wrong with the aircraft. It has always been the wingnut which connects the control column to the rudder pedals that has been the problem.
The best explanation of the bonanza on TH-cam. Good job my friend. Spot on.
Excellent video!!!!!
Great video, thanks! I've owned or co-owned 4 Bonanzas: an E33C, an A36, a V35A TC and now an F33A. Can't say enough good things about them.
What if the owner is an IA and they simply missed something in their annual?
Even IA's with 20 years miss things. It happens, we are all human as long as nobody got hurt or there was no accident, then simply bring the aircraft into compliance. There is no need to report anyone or anything.
I would like to see Doge recommend removal of the annual requirement from the FAA regulations for private aircraft owners not flying for hire with 4 seats or less. Any congressmen that don't adhere to doge recommendations should be called out and held accountable to voters.
Hey Bryce I’m liking this series of the practical projects for the O&P you should continue doing them they are very helpful for us A&P Students.👍
Guy does not even mention safety wire.
Not all aircraft, just old aircraft.

I start classes next semester, from Southern Illinois, thank you for the advice and I'll study hard
Any books you can recommend to study for my A&P?
$100 an hour? Dear lord a auto mechanic charges more... and he won't get sued if there is a accident / crash. You need to be at $175+ an hour to make a living and cover costs.
what do you recommende for an internationale student wanting to be an A&P
Just got my airframe cert yesterday! Had to do this as one of my practicals. Also had to do a flareless fitting...which we never covered at my school so that was one I missed. Got through the rest though!
I didn't even think of that we demonstrate flareless for our students, but we try to make sure the understand it.
Also huge congratulations 🎊
@brycebuildsit I think had I at least seen a demonstration, could have gotten through that one. Seemed fairly simple, and I actually almost got it without having seen one done before lol. And thank you! Some of your study tips definitely helped along with easy my nerves
I can tell you from experience of getting signed off as a Civilian Experienced Mechanic. Its not how much you know but it does play a factor. I look more of it as how bad you want it and prove that you are going to do what it takes to get out there as a certified tech and perform good mx while abiding to the rules and regulations. Aviation is very old school if anyone is curious. The knowledge is free on the internet to the books! Study as much as you can and try to understand the functions and properties of an airplane. Causes and effects. Etc. Working in the field can take plenty of time to actually gain all the practical experience folks say you "need" but i see it everyday where individuals are stuck doing interior work day in and day out. STUDY! remember Knowledge is free! and of course so many youtube videos out there today will teach and help you understand what your curious about. Last but not least itll be up to the ASI to consider giving you an opportunity. Self learning is a blessing that we all overlook. Good luck to all.
What’s your opinion On AIM? It’s a n A&P school in Texas aswell
At 7:06, when you look at the sleeve and the flare together, the flare appears to be crooked (i.e. seems like it the end of the tube is at the slight angle), is that right?
I have over 3000 hours and have flown 25 different airplanes. I would pick a later model 33 as my favorite.
Let me show you how a real A&P does it. 😂
I’d really like to see the “clean” version on how to make a line. I’m sure it’ll be a bit longer in explanation, but would be very educational. Thanks for the vids Bryce, keep it up.
I am going to make that video it's just the end of the semester was really busy.
The good old doctor killer. It may soon be yet dethroned by the Pilatus, since that's the new hotness in terms of rich men showing off. Either way, it's just people flying too much aircraft for their practice and skill level. These are not meant to be flown twice a year when it's time to go to the summer house. You have to fly them all the time.
I think the cirrus is more what has replaced it as far as rich guys showing off goes. Most of the Pilatus have a Pilot they pay to fly it for them
@@brycebuildsit Still an awful lot of Pilatus deaths with single pilots in them. Granted, Cirrus has a lot of fatalities too, but the Cirrus is less complicated to operate. Cirrus really has two things working against it, the Continental engine running it is less than stellar and the aircraft's stall behaviors are dramatic. That can spell doom for lesser practiced pilots.
90deg is the proper angle. And 8 TPI covers all wire thickness
Gonna have to disagree that the 43-13 is acceptable. If you have a tool like a flare, it will have instructions from the manufacturer that need to be followed. If you have a tool without manufacturer instructions then you have a useless tool. While the 43-13 will cover acceptable results, it will in no way tell you how to get those results with any specific tool. It's very lazy and improper to suggest that the 43-13 is usable in most situations. It is not. If you read 9-30 (b) that covers metal tube inspection and fabrication not one sentence covers the actual use of ANY flare tool. None, not one. It only tells you inspection and flare/tube specification. If a DME hands you a flare tool without manufacturer instructions hand it back. How do you know it has a 37deg flare? Or how to set the depth of the tube in the tool? Trust the DME?
Sir, I’m fairly certain he mentioned “depending on which tool you have”. Bryce did not say use the 43.13 as a guide to use the tool, but more so as what the end result should be.
Lol, I'd love to see how that would go 😅 can't imagine my DME would have been too happy if I handed it back to him.
Thank you! Could you do flexible lines as well?
I actually did flexible lines before this one
Right on time for my O&P test. Thanks Bryce
Same here 😂 mine is literally tomorrow
Love my Bonanza! ❤
Retired Air Force mechanic, no mechanics left (worse in auto/diesel)
Nice. This type of maintenance perspective video would be a good series to do for popular types. I don’t know of any other A&P doing that, so that could be a fun niche for this channel. Also, since you like Mooneys, what is your take on their airframe strength, especially compared to a Bonanza? I am curious as someone interested in maybe buying an E or an F Mooney.
What your thoughts on buying a high performance piston with the potential of 100LL going away? Beech has halted production of the Bo and Baron, could this be the reason for falling sales?
I don't think losing 100LL is the end of the world. 130UL is actually really good fuel and already used in much of Europe. I think the reason Beech has halted production comes down to economics. I forget what a new Bo cost, but I seem to remember it being close to a million. Why on earth would I spend close to a mil on a bo when I can get one like the F33A in this video for 220k or even better buy a really crappy one for low 100k and then completely restore it with a luxurious interior and glass panel and it still cost less then 400k
Just started an annual on a F33A CE-550.
Good video. I would consider buying one of these if I thought the local flight school would use it and I could at least break even. I don't think it's the lowest cost per hour complex plane. In your experience, which on is?
A piper Aerro or a Mooney M20k but I'm not a huge fan of the TSIO-360
OK. That was really good!!
I’ve owned several Bonanzas over my 54 years of flying! My favorite was and is a E-33…I’ve owned three. Annual is usually around $6000 blah blah blah Fantastic airsheen…tough, fast and when flown LOP…efficient! It will treat you how you treat it!
Do you do any a&p work in florida? Such as annuals?
I do not, I am in texas
I've been flying for 40 years. I always liked the Bonanza 33.
I did forget that and I had an awful time lol, was called my old retired mechanic who is in Virgina now like wtf and he just calmly told me. These tasks are where I wish I were Clark Kent from Smallville
Bro how much you charge in labor. I'm buying a 1959 k35 bonanza that had a prop strike. Needs new crankshaft/overhaul. Top is already done.
I can’t get an annual done on my C-150 for less than $3k. Really makes me wonder if I should keep an airplane.
If you don't mind me asking what area you are in. I only ask because i charge 2,200 for a 150, then AD's and discrepancies are extra.
@@brycebuildsit Charlotte NC.
I agree, costs for annuals are criminal. Have you ever watched one? It can be done in two days for most small single engine planes.
Unfortunately, it's not the cost of the work you are paying for. It's all of the calibrated tools, current manuals, and liability. Believe me, those costs have doubled in the last 4 years.
@@brycebuildsitdo you mind me asking what you have to pay for liability insurance?
Mooney all day.
They are simply the best in my humble opinion.
Moneys are great! I absolutely loved mine till I was ready to upgrade to my A36. Can’t go back now.
Only if you're a little person.
No v rail doctor killer? Too bad lmao
This one happens to be a straight tail ..... lawyer killer, maybe. I don't know...
Ah, brings back memories of A&P school at SCC.
206 and 210 really share nothing. Your evaluation is wrong. The “real” 210’s with the cantilever wings are based off the 205 type cerificate. The wings are no where near the same along with the ailerons. Both the 206 and 210 are great planes but really share nothing!
This is better than the animations! Awesome video. Thank you!
Thank you for the kind words
I meant to say there is no way to clean this without taking half the truck apart. Chevy did an incredible job of increasing everything in chap flimsy plastic.
Can't you either vacuum it out or even blow it out?
Yes, I meant to say that there is no way to clean it when everything is put together as there is no access
Hi I'm a student and I'm going to finish school and starting my 6 months stage. I'm focused on avionics stuff and I would ask you some tips for the future. I really love General aviation what's about the pay and benefits? In the future I want to open my own maintenance agency on business jets like Gulfstream Bombardier Falcon etc. Which kinds of tips can you give me? If I'm not wrong you have a repair station or not?
I don't have a repair station, but I will say if you want to make good money in GA, you are going to need to be an IA. You can also make really good money doing avionics installs but you will have to become a dealer and authorized installer by all the big brands
@brycebuildsit thank you very much, what Is a dealer? I live in Italy so under the rules of EASA, do you know how can I do that in Europe?
About to finish my generals then onto airframe and powerplant thanks for the video dude
