This message is for the ones struggling to pass. Me that have pass all my written’s and part of my O&P Certificate.
    1. You really gotta study
    2. Everything on prep-ware needs to be studied
    Phase 3.
For 0&PJeppesen is still the best book to study more. plus quiz let and ASA
    4. Study everything in O&P book, and focus more on test codes that refers chapter in the book
    5. For the practicals, Learn your AD’s, rules and regulations, ATA codes, Aircraft Maintenance/service manual. And some few practical videos on TH-cam. Anyways i hope that help anyone who’s on the journey on Obtaining their Certificate

Yes to everything you said. For the written exams the prep-ware app is what I've had success with. Passed both general and airframe written with a score of 92 on both just by studying the app. When I took my orals a few days ago almost every question I got was word for word from the Jeppesen books.

Correction. I know i corrected you on this on a previous video but it seems we were both half right/wrong. It seems if you take airframe or powerplant at 18 months you have to have another 18 months of experience to take the other. But you can take both at the same time if you wait till you have 30 months. Doesnt really make sense, but thats what im reading.

Based off the conversations I've had with my local FSDO they would still give credit with 12 months if you already had the A and just need the P. Which is also the annoying part about using the practical experience route depending on which Airworthiness Inspector you are talking to you will get a different answer or set of requirements. We even had a student here who got his A after retiring but the FAA would not let him test for the P because he had no recip experience as he only worked on fighters. Meanwhile one of our instructors was a C5 avionics tech and was signed off for booth.....

I'm 12 months into an apprenticeship. My employer told me that almost every new hire who came from the A&P school here has quit within a few months. The working environment is chill, but it's a small business so maybe they had some misconception about the pay or something else.

It can be that way sometimes. The airlines are really the only place where 6 figures within the first couple years out of school is possible.

despite a foreign license you would still have to take a 147 program to be eligible to test for the A&P. Unless your licenses is from Canada because of our bi-lateral agreement.
