Nah--I will keep my low backed cushioned listening chair I got from world market for 130 bucks or so. THose armrests look awful, and ny subwoofer is within arm's reach--a slip mat as a coaster and there's the space for my coke zero. My chair is somewhat similar to Valencia's Ella fabric accent chair and still less than quarter the price.

You could just use 3 min to tell us you had gotten a chair for free, then come back in a year and tell us the good the bad and the ugly. This is just a commercial.

I have a eastern electric dac that has 2 .1uf 630volt and 2 3.3uf 250v, i upgraded the smaller caps with clarity cap pur st and the bigger caps with jupiter copper and wax like the ones you are using, Ho long did they take to burn in?

Loïc, très intéressant le cylindre autour du HP. Tu as les plans et les photos de mes enceintes Karlson et donc l'inclinaison ( qui n'est pas à quelques degrés près ), tu pourrais garder cette inclinaison et cette proximité au sol pour les F15 seuls, avec le cylindre, en open baffle. Franchement ça m'intéresserait de voir ça !

Thanks for the video. I have been struggling to find the right mix or xo for my W-15 and F-15 set up. It sounds best to my ears without a xo and just wired in parallel, but it is definitely missing some clarity and definition. I was toying with the idea of adding a Fast 8 or Silver 10 so it was great to see the addition of this video. I am curious if you tried with the F-15 in the mix before settling on the current setup; just playing some of the lower bass/mid bass and still crossing over relatively low to the Silver 10.

Listening to this short on my smartphone speakers, I can really appreciate the sound of those vacuum tube amps.

On my Behringer DSP I use a 1. order lowpass in the 35Hz range so they will not be delayed much in regards to the main speakers. 1. order is 90 degrees and that keeps transients and upper harmonics as intact as possible. The filter works as a multiple of 35, so 6db down at 35 and 12db down at 70 and so on.. The filter is very weak so I found that setting a low frequency point makes an 1. order usable on drivers that sounds fast on their own..Ie dont have huge group delay in their box/baffle. If you have the capability to delay the fronts/fullrange 4-7ms harmonics will sound even more realistic.. Also drivers with an resonnance(Fs) in the 80-120 range will make them use longer time to come to a stop (so they swing for longer) at that freq and put out more energy into the room making that awesome chest thump.

Did you try a lii audio f-8 driver not fast-8, F8 has qts od 1.3 something?!

Just got a set of the Lii Song YUN C-6 speakers with the Crystal 6's and man am I impressed. I only got them because my F15/W15 open baffles are just too big for my new listening room, but im not disappointed. Hooked up to my MiniDSP SHD and Decware Zen Mini Torri it is doing everything I hoped for and more... more being the amount of bass they produce.

Very interesting speaker set up. I don’t know man. If I had built those thing and I was still married, it surely would have hastened the divorce. Heck, I am single and I would divorce myself if I decide go that route. But it does sound great, I trust your ears and enjoy your “multiple personality disorder” clips. 😂😉👏🏼👏🏼

I'm building a pair of pure audio project clones based on 15 inch SB audience subs and tang band W8-1808 full rangers.I got Solen in Montreal to build me the crossovers with an L pad to attenuate the high end. I agree, a good system makes all music fun to listen to and great recordings sound great. Those super resolving systems only serve to disqualify the majority of recorded music.

Thanks for the information. I have been experiencing the burn in changes as you mentioned and was starting to question my component choices. Seems things are starting to get back to where I thought the system was really good again after going off in various ways particularly lack of bass depth and clarity. I've been reassured by this video. Thanks again.

This is Gorilla Warfare HARDCORE DIY.

I have about 50 hours in on the Horizon series KT88. Somewhat forward and congested sound right out of the box. This went away after about 10 hours. No real dramatic changes thereafter except the sound is a little more relaxed. I did not hear all the changes this reviewer described but my amp is different, a Prima Luna Dialogue Premium. I really like these tubes. I wonder what the next tier up, Acme Series, brings to the table.

Ah ok. There's also a pt15. The qts is quite bad, but the resonance low. Maybe it's working great when stucking it in a wall between two rooms, without a seperate woofer.
