Whether it's improving them today or helping to shape them for tomorrow. Local Healthwatch is all about local voices being able to influence the delivery and design of local health and social care services. We find out what you think about your services and then use those views to shape and improve them because the best services are built around your needs and experiences. As a powerful and independent consumer champion, we have the strength of the law behind us. The people who run and pay for health and care services must respond to our concerns explaining what action they will take, or why they are not taking action. We have the role to listen and the power to significantly influence change within the health and social care system.
How do we tackle poverty together? | Our summary video
Two years ago, we decided to discover the answer to the question: What if people who struggled against poverty could help to make decisions about tackling poverty?
In this quick breakdown, we present the recommendations that emerged from the group, how the project took shape, and the thoughts from those involved on what is needed in the future.
All partners in Suffolk’s Tackling Poverty Together were driven by a desire to make a difference. By the very nature of this project, we could not have achieved anything without their work, and a massive thank you to all participants for their efforts, wisdom, and consistent enthusiasm.
