  • Su Conquer and Amanda Langley (from our superstar co-production team) continue their discussion with their latest special guest, David Akinsanya, Lead for Lived Experience for the SNEE ICS (Suffolk and North East Essex Integrated Care System).
How can we take co-production further within services and organisations? David says it might be small steps and inviting people in but it's not about expecting them to come to us every time. When communities hold their own events, we can participate and learn much more.
David shares a great example of overcoming language barriers by utilising people from the community as the resource to reach people. When we listen, services can make better policy.
The group explore how co-production is about relationships. The limitations of short-term funding can be a barrier.
David tells us how to enhance the power of voluntary organisations. View the Blobs and Squares video. • The Parable of the Blo... .
This series is about embracing the ideal that co-production can start anywhere - even when two (or more) people have a chat over a cup of tea.
