  • Gemma Levi, Senior Manager for Community Infrastructure, Healthy Behaviours and Mental Health for Children and Families, chats over a cup of tea with our Co-production Ambassador and Community Partner Jay and our Project Co-ordinator, Elise about the plans and ethos for our Tackling Poverty Together (TPT) project.
Gemma explains how it is essential that voices from people in our communities are embedded into the 5 year Tacking Poverty Action Plan.
Everyone should experience equity and equality to access the services they need. Our project is learning about the links with poverty and health. The aim of the action plan is to get it right for everyone and work to improve education, peoples health, living standards and opportunities for all ages. Any child should be able to achieve their dream, no matter what their financial circumstances are.
Jay shares how refreshing it is that the Tackling Poverty Together project is not just the latest buzz phrase, but it is every day folk coming together to make things better.
This series is about embracing the ideal that co-production can start anywhere - even when two (or more) people have a chat over a cup of tea.
