  • Gemma Levi, Senior Manager for Community Infrastructure, Healthy Behaviours and Mental Health for Children and Families, chats over a cup of tea with our Co-production Ambassador and Community Partner Jay and our Project Co-ordinator, Elise about the plans and ethos for our Tackling Poverty Together (TPT) project.
How are the team reaching communities to enable them to come on-board?
Elise expresses her passion for equity, building trust and enabling access for people to join. It's important to go and speak to people in their environment, but not with suits and clipboards.
Jay talks about his introduction into the project. He shares that there are people out there that do not often get asked questions or feel their are included. The project will aim to convey the message that what people have to say is of value, it is going to be believed and it is important.
People can be involved in the planned hybrid meet-ups by either attending in-person or joining on-line. The team are available to discuss the best approach for anyone and what support can be arranged to enable this.

This series is about embracing the ideal that co-production can start anywhere - even when two (or more) people have a chat over a cup of tea.
