Fleetwood pop-up camper restoration part II
The first step in restoring this 16yr old camper is getting the power and propane sources up to snuff, as well as making it safe and legal to tow. I replaced the damaged safety chains with new ones, removed the rust and repainted the front frame area, repaired the wiring, and installed a new propane tank and working RV battery.

I carried a Glock Gen 4 G29 for years as my woods sidearm in wolf and grizzly country and never felt undergunned. But when I decided to try a a Springfield Armory XDM 10mm 3.8" OSP Elite, I was blown away by how it surpassed the Glock in nearly every way! Ergonomics, accuracy, capacity, and capability all exceed the Glock G29. The only area in which the Glock is better, is in aftermarket suppor...

OK. It's not an overlanding build. It's just my 2021 Tundra that I added a bunch of stuff to so I could get around the Idaho woods easier. I do use it to pull a small utility trailer that my tent goes in, and I have gone deep into the woods and camped, but us old Idaho farts call that tent camping out of a truck. Either way, it gets me where I want to go. And here's the exhaust (or lack thereof...

Savage 12 is getting more accurate!

I found some loose screws and the proper ammo to shrink my initial groups by quite a bit! I believe three of the scope ring screws were not tightened with one being finger tight. The rear scope base screw was not tight, and the trigger guard screws were finger tight. I also used a box of match reloads my father produced instead of his "work-up" loads for the rifle. Finally, I removed the bipod ...

    I watched your Frontier video. I own a 2019 Tundra, it's been flawless, I just don't need a truck that size, but looking at all the problems with all the mid-sized trucks, I think I may keep it. The one thing I despise is the "upgraded" JBL sound system, the worst of any car I've ever owned by a long shot. I think I'll just throw money at it, get a cap and replace the sound system. The 5.7l will never die. I'm 6'5" and about 300, people have no idea how bad the ergonomics of most vehicles are for tall people. I can't physically operate many vehicles, some are unsafe the way either my feet span both the brake and accelerator pedal or the way my knees are trapped by the steering wheels. The only other thing I will do is the 3" Old Man Emu lift, I live on dirt and drive dirt constantly and some added clearance and firmer control would be good.

    I enjoyed the 2 videos on your dad's Savage. Hopefully there will be more. Torque everything to spec. The most accurate loads are almost never found at max powder charges and over. Buy a box of premium match-grade ammo and see if things tighten up. Savages usually shoot lights out unless the barrel is shot out. Looking forward to follow ups.

    My understanding is that with a set trigger you can set it and get a light pull, but if you don't set it you can still shoot it just like a normal trigger (front trigger still) and get a heavier pull, maybe 5 pounds.

    I've seen Glocks that were better but I've also seen some that would not come close to 5" groups. I've also seen tests done with Blazer Brass and with Magtech, using a gun more accurate than the Glock, and the Magtech groups centered up to 2" from the center of the Blazer groups. I don't think this would explain the group sizes that you got but with more accurate guns you would want to sort the ammo first.

    • @treyveston7965
      @treyveston7965 หลายเดือนก่อน

      This was more of a performance review than an accuracy review. With some tailored reloads and really concentrating, I can get some awesome groups out of my pistols. The Glock 19 has gotten 1" groups and the P365 has done 2". Today's video was mostly to just see if the Ruger was functional and reasonably accurate, which it was.

    I have a 1953 Superposed 12 gauge in mint condition. Once you change anything on these guns it can make a huge difference in the value, even something as small as putting a recoil pad on the back. I will never sell mine, it is my favorite gun that I own. I seriously doubt if it is worth 30K. It is a very nice gun though. I have the historical record on it from Browning and it was sold in New York City at Macy's on September 10, 1959 for $188.11. Pretty cool stuff !!!
