  • I've really been impressed by the performance and quality of my new Tisas D10 10mm 1911. This video features the second time I took it to the range in search of a hard-hitting woods load that was accurate.
It's getting better! New sights are on the way, but it was still able to hit steel at 100yds in my other video.

Considering all of those different groups the average would be what I would expect from a 1911 of that cost. I want to grab onto a single good group although I know that to pronounce it accurate you would need to average 3 groups or 5 groups. I never do that though. I have shot 2 groups with the same load and gotten 1 good and 1 really bad out of it, I don't know why that happens.
I don't understand the mechanics of why groups very so much but it seems that changing powders can have a big affect. It can be hard to predict what will work and what won't work. Your results with the XDM 10mm were much more consistent. I have a theory that the tolerances in production models can stack up so that one particular one can be very accurate and another particular one can be relatively inaccurate. My other theory is that on that is relatively inaccurate can occasionally print a good group, after all when the projectile leaves the barrel it's going to go somewhere so occasionally they will all go together. Finding a load that works in the gun is a way to work around the gun's individual problems.

How reliable is this pistol for you? I am getting interested in Tisas but the reviews are all over the map so I thought I would ask you how it has performed for you. Thanks.

It has been absolutely reliable with everything I've run through it. I expected maybe some issues with my 200gr Gold Dot reloads, but it loved them. Love this pistol! Everyone who has held it has been impressed with the quality.

You’ll get better results not restin the gun and touchin anything with it…watch ron spomers latest 10mm super jager vid and see how much better he shoots once he goes off the rest…something I learned
