It would have been nice to see the filament print before drying and then compared to after drying.
After is sat outside for 22 hours at 92% humidity? I would never do that to any of my printers! But I do wish I could've shown some type of before and after test without causing a large cleanup! Thanks for the comment and thanks for watching!
@@pushingplastic7445 lol yeah, excellent point. Keep making the great content.
Off topic, how do I fix elephant footing on prints. I've been doing lug nut covers for my car and they always do it. PLA. I did a test with ASA and a brim on a smooth plate, and didn't get it.
@@LarryBerg I can't find that, in Creality print
@@funfun8095 Initial Layer Horizontal Expansion setting
In the Quality section of Creality Print 5.0, turn on Advanced Settings and you'll find the elephants foot compensation. I hope this helps!! Thanks for watching!
@@pushingplastic7445 👍
I have that same dryer and just started printing ASA and heard you can actually Over dry filament... What do you think? I found you and subscribed, because you're one of the few that I've found that talks about the Creality slicer. Thanks.
I've heard the same over the years and it does make sense. But I can honestly say that it's never happened to me....yet. But that's the nice thing about the Space Pi, with the preset temperatures and filament types it takes away some of the mishaps that might happen. Just check the chart in the instruction manual and don't over exceed them and you'll be fine. I'm getting ready to load some ASA into the Space Pi myself!!! Thanks for watching!
so I've dialed in the temp pretty well at 210C and followed the flow rate video to get a flow rate of 87% which does seem a bit low but based on the process that is what I got. Now I am just struggling to see any improvement in stringing as I slowly increase my retraction distance from 0 up to 3mm without very much change at all. I feel like that is getting kind of high. Is it possibly realistic to go higher than that? What course of action would you recommend from here?
87% on the flow seems really low! But if that's what the results show I would stick with it. For the retraction I would keep going until you find the happy spot. What filament type? PLA?
@@pushingplastic7445 It is PLA+, Inland brand from microcenter
Will you make a similar video for creality print 5.0? I can't seem to find the option in that program :(
You got it! But I found a bug in the flow rate calibration and was holding off until that was fixed. But in the mean time, if you want to get a head start, in the upper right part of the screen where the filament type is, it might say something like "PLA". Click on the downward pointing arrow. This will show your current material, printing and bed temperatures. To the right of those, you'll see a pencil icon. Click on that and that's where you modify/create material profiles. I hope this helps, if not let me know! Thanks for watching!
do you need to turn off auto temperature for these to work?
i notice there is overlap in the 'edit' button in parameter config and in the 'manage' button under materials so i'm wondering what gets coded when you slice? to me it seems it is the parameters set in parameter config
in manage it said auto temp was off but in parameter config it was on and i noticed my temp was not where i set it when i checked mid print
If you are running this in Creality 5.0, it doesn't work right. There are bugs in the flow rate calibration in versions up to 5.0.2.8694
@@pushingplastic7445 I'm running it in creality print, I just downloaded creality print 5.0 and it doesn't list my ender 3 v3 se as an option for a printer on there.
These calibration will they differ between PLA and ABS etc thanks for great video
Yes, you'll want to run this for each type of filament you use.
where is support density? This latest version seems to have disappeared..🤕
In the Support section, you need to enable supports and turn on Advance settings. But I'm only seeing first layer support density.
what do you do if you can't get the number of layers to a whole number?
I would check out this video, it's more up to date and takes away a lot of the work. th-cam.com/video/fjlGvtNSlYw/w-d-xo.html

Thanks for great video, please can you do a new video on Carnality Print 5.0 for calibrations. Be nice if you go through all the Calibrations. Thanks
Definitely! I haven't done one yet because of the flaw in the flow rate test. When setting up Pass 2, it's suppose to ask for the results of Pass 1. It doesn't but I did submit the bug report!
@@pushingplastic7445 Thanks appreciate it

Great Review but you forgot to show the painting menu
I wanted to but I wasn't sure how well this video would go over and I didn't want to extend the length of it demonstrating a feature for a printer that we can't buy yet. But I did play with the paint options. I like what I see!!!!!
Shame i can't get nice seams like in V4.38.7058, where have the settings gone in V5?
The second icon from the right in the tool bar is for Paint On seams. If you turn on Advance settings on the Quality tab you'll find the seam settings. Thanks for watching!
I set the chamber temperature for ABS to 45. I wrote 1 below to activate it. The exhaust fan does not activate even at 50 degrees. I set the exhaust fan to operate at 25% during printing. Exhaust fan does not run at all. Could you help?
I'll try to duplicate this and see if I can figure it out!
How can i do the adaptive layer thing now?
In the top toolbar, Adaptive Layers is the icon all of the way to the right, it looks like a bunch or lines. Select your model, click that button. When the dialog box pops up slide the top slider towards Quality, .25 should be good. The further you move it towards quality the better it will look but the longer the print time will be. I hope this helps!!! Thanks for watching!

Would this mean if you have multiple same printer they will each have a different flow rate?
Good question, yes, it's very possible. Some of those printers may have the same flow but I would be willing to bet that they are all relatively close to each other.
Man, this is way underrated. Just the info I was looking for. Those layers lines on dome shapes are a nightmare. Orca Slicer makes it smooth as butter.

Nice video. With the calibration in v 5.0 pass 1 prints then load up pass 2, you can’t pick the best print on Pass 1 . This v5.0 needs much more work on it to fix the bugs. Also Creality, don’t have a user manual for v5.0 that I can find yet.
Good call! I noticed that as well and had a note to mention that in the video and I dropped the ball. I put in a message with the Creality developers on that one. For now I did the "old way" of dialing in Flow where you print the hollow cube, 2 walls, no top, do some measuring, a little calculating....ect. I have an older video on my channel using that method if it helps. Thanks for watching!
What do u think are the best setting for the V3 KE?
I don't have the KE, I have an SE, a K1 Max and a few of the other Enders but not the KE. So far I found the built in profiles to be really good.
With CR5 PRO-H I have tried Creality Print two years ago however I could not find any advantage with Creality slicer by then I saw Creality Print had less options. Maybe I am not smart enough to do it by myself. Even so Creality Slicer has less options than Cura. What are the differences between them? Thanks for sharing it
Cura is a good slicer. I was using it all of the time and started using Creality Print when the K1 Max was released. Creality Print handles that printer better than Cura did. But the one thing I would like to see in Creality Print that Cura has is the Per Model Settings, or modifiers as they're known in Orca. Thanks for the comment and thanks for watching, I really appreciate it!
thank you for informing me about Monotonic Order......I've been wanting the printer to do this forever - top surfaces around holes always have that weird striping because it skips the sections and goes back later.
Awesome! I'm a big fan of monotonic ordering myself! I'm glad it helped. Thanks for watching!
Amazing like always!!!! Thanks for sharing your knowledge!!!
Thanks, I appreciate those words! Thanks for watching!
Big shit! I press slice.... Error the program is closed. Very few options. pathetic....
So you come here, post profanities and give it thumbs down? You didn't mention anything about your computer setup, printer, the size of the model or any of the settings you tried. That's kind of pathetic, don't you think?
Windows 11& Ender 5 Is this something unusual? This slicer is pathetic....
@@1r3k1970 Actually the Ender 5 is unusual since it's not on the list of compatible printers yet and this is why you are experiencing problems. But even if you have an issue with the slicer, why hit the thumbs down on my video? I didn't cause your problems.
thumbs down??

Creality print 5.0 is very good I am getting faster print times and higher quality! (E3 V3 KE)
Same here with the K1 Max! I hope they get some of the other printer profiles done soon! I really want to see how they work!
@@pushingplastic7445 more print profiles would be nice! The V3 KE has one profile and it is 0.2mm layer height I wonder if they plan on doing 0.1/0.3/0.38

@@jacobcauchi5933 it certainly seems to be running smoother than before! And it was running well before (KE) The more I use CR Print 5.0, the more I love it! I’ve tried almost all of the slicers and this one just works perfect with the KE I’m gonna do linear rails on the bed and make the gantry rigid, then here comes 500mm/s 😄
Bill I enjoy your videos and your channel, however, I am not a fan of Creality Print.
There's nothing wrong with that! I try to put videos out for Cura, Orca & Creality Print. In fairness, I use to use Cura exclusively, then I gave Super Slicer a chance. I really liked that one. After getting an X1C and having to use Bambu Studio for that printer until Orca came along and covered all printers. I actually started using Creality Print because I wanted to check out the printer profiles so I could duplicate them for Orca. Sorry, kind of rambling on here with my trip down memory lane! So this was made from orca slicer as it even says orca slicer in it in many of the descriptions. But seems to be missing things. Interesting.
Orca slicer is a fork of Prusa slicer as is Bambu Studio and Super Slicer. Prusa Slicer is based on Slic3r, that's how this works. Each developer put's their own twist on their version of the slicer as they develop it.
Thanks, great review

Don’t know if have noticed it but when I installed 5.0 in my windows 10 laptop and open the slicer, sliced a normal cube, and no that the preview was showing it printing anticlockwise, so I printed the cube and yep the model was printing anticlockwise. So i uninstalled it, an reinstalled the one that came with my ender 3 v3 se and went back to clockwise printing.
