    It would have been nice to see the filament print before drying and then compared to after drying.

      After is sat outside for 22 hours at 92% humidity? I would never do that to any of my printers! But I do wish I could've shown some type of before and after test without causing a large cleanup! Thanks for the comment and thanks for watching!

    I have had this since shortly getting my M1 Max and love it mainly for just filament management. Meaning I do not have to go behind the machine to refill. But YES its has been a bonus as it has helped with OLDer PLA :) Love it .

      I currently don't have it hooked up to the printer. But I'm getting tired of going behind the printer to swap filaments so I see that coming soon!

      @@pushingplastic7445 Yea its on the right side of my machine and OOOOH so nice. The Bowden tube that comes with it goes all the way to the run out sensor .. So it comes with the necessary tube.. Good fix

    I have that same dryer and just started printing ASA and heard you can actually Over dry filament... What do you think?
    I found you and subscribed, because you're one of the few that I've found that talks about the Creality slicer. Thanks.

      I've heard the same over the years and it does make sense. But I can honestly say that it's never happened to me....yet. But that's the nice thing about the Space Pi, with the preset temperatures and filament types it takes away some of the mishaps that might happen. Just check the chart in the instruction manual and don't over exceed them and you'll be fine. I'm getting ready to load some ASA into the Space Pi myself!!! Thanks for watching!

    Off topic, how do I fix elephant footing on prints. I've been doing lug nut covers for my car and they always do it. PLA. I did a test with ASA and a brim on a smooth plate, and didn't get it.

      In the Quality section of Creality Print 5.0, turn on Advanced Settings and you'll find the elephants foot compensation. I hope this helps!! Thanks for watching!

    As monkeystrong42 said we really need a "before drying" comparison, because you can't prove anything with a dryer without a before and after. I understand you said "I would never do that to any of my printers" but I have seen people soak rolls in water for days and print w/o any harm coming to their printer (just the prints). Keep in mind PLA is one of the least hygroscopic filaments out there so you would have been safe, and without the before picture the change the dryer may have had is conjecture.
    Also you said "the outer walls are as smooth as they should be...they layers are nice and uniform" when to be honest they look bad on the video you showed. I saw lots and lots of layer lines where some of them appeared to be uneven/building. I am not familiar with the slicer you are using, but if you have a chance check out the wall ordering of Inner/Outer/Inner as that can smooth out a number of external wall layer line issues.
    I hope you take my comments as they were intended to be, helpful for future videos, as I am not trying to trash the work you put forward (just make it better). I have been subscribed for about 1/2 a year and do enjoy your videos.

      I whole heartly take your comment as intended, Honestly I do. Comments like this help me decide how to do the next video and what people want to see in them. But, I stand by my decision not to run filament that is known to be wet/damp through my printer. I felt that 22 hours outside in rain and 92% humidity would be fine for a demonstration. Sometimes it's hard to guess what people want to see. As for those blobs you see in the video, that's actually in the designed model itself. You can go to STLFlix and check for yourself. Even without an account you can still use their "Explore" feature. The model is called "Il Colosseo", they show up even in their pictures. The slicer that was used in the video was Creality Print 5. I appreciate your comments and I thank you for it and I appreciate that you watched.

      hotfix, I disagree, we dont' really need a "before drying" comparison as we all know what these driers do....they dry filament, the differences are the price, asthetics, noise and footprint. I suspect that you know this already ; )

      @@pushingplastic7445 I just got the double roll version of this for $85. The one thing I'd have liked to have seen would have been a time lapse of the drying process. This is my first dryer and I see nothing in the packaging to help me know what is dry enough, eg. the PH value I'd expect to see when the filament is "too damp" versus good-to-go.
