Airbus really need to work some system out so the captain can be overpoweringly notified if someone else has stick control. Also the fact that these modern planes even allow a pilot to put them and keep them in a stall is beyond me. I don't get it at all. AF 447 all over again.

If you think of it, the only way for oil to cool is to have something to take energy from it quickly. And it only can be done by evaporation of fuel from the oil tube surface. A lot of in box thinking from the pilots.

Would the missile still have hit the plane if the pilots stuck to the original flight plan of climbing to 35 000 ft in that airspace ? According to the video they stayed at 33 000 ft so just wondering if that extra 2000 ft above could have kept them out of missile range

If the pilots are busy and ignore the phone, why would the steward go to the cockpit and tell the pilots? They knew it was an emergency. Open cowl has a huge effect on descending and landing the stewarts had to know this.

I remember flying from Europe, Amsterdam to USA, NY in 1998 and OMG it's so freaking scary flying over the ocean at night 😱🫣😰😢 It was my first time on the biggest airplane ever and it took 13 hrs to reach NY!!! I could feel the pulling down of the airplane when over the ocean... you could feel it in your stomach and head 😱😱 And it was so freaking cold 🥶🥶🥶 Never again 😂😂

Just goes to show more than one pilot complicates flying so much, especially when it's an over cocky captain pretending he knows all, one day there will be only one confident pilot and a Dumb AI computer to assist and warn the sole pilot you've made a mistake and do this to correct it immediately. No auto pilot systems just a well programmed Dumb AI to sensor and observe all pilot error and instruct what to do, no arguing with copilot, no confusion just do what Dumb AI tells you to or else.

Far too many switches and buttons, not enough warning systems to tell pilots they've pushed the wrong button or pulled the wrong lever. Airliners should never have so much complex systems on board, they should be designed with less tech and more safety and less error. There should be no autopilot feature, if dumb AI cannot land or fly a plane then it should not exist. Far too many moving parts, airliners are not safe even in perfect weather.

Well, Russia do not care. It is as simple as that!!

Although tragic, the way the Netherlands handled the situation after the fact is incredible. So much respect and care for the victims and actively charging those involved, exactly how it should be done.

15:00 the passengers did not pass out, due to the movement there was still a higher pressure in the cabin than on the outside, and even if it was unpressurized you can still live in those conditions for a few minutes, they were really well aware of what is happening until they hit the ground
