I’m not really sure what you can do in the UK. Even in the states your best bets are to look on Facebook collector groups or go to eBay. I still wouldn’t mind build back up some of the Matty stuff I sold like the GB2 4 pack. I’m really looking forward to the ecto 1. Ive seen a lot of negativity, but I like it. I think for the price it’s maybe a better deal than the thundertank. The thundertank is cool and huge, but I like all of the stuff included with the Ecto and you get 5 figures plus a few ghosts. I don’t know if it’ll make it though. It’s at close to 75% and still a month left to go, but I’m unsure. Matty couldn’t even sell there’s years ago for a much cheaper price. It’ll be interesting to see what happens. I’m the most excited for those mondo Real Ghostbusters! RGB is my favorite cartoon of all time. I watch it more often than I watch the movies. The stories back then were fantastic and I always loved the ghost designs so I hope the series continues to grow. I’d love a huge Blackie action figure or the imps when they combine in Janine’s Day Off. That whole episode is full of cool creatures. It’s nice some new RGB toys are finally coming out. I thought Diamond did a nice job but these look much better.

You still haven’t gotten your First Sketch Turtles?! That’s crazy. When are they supposed to arrive? Also thanks for everything you said. I’d love to make more videos too or make some easier videos. I love these Neca Fred wolf, mirage, and Archie videos but like you said a lot of research goes into them, plus a lot of editing so they take longer which means I have a lower output. I may do some more Tmnt videos of toys that don’t have much history, but are still great toys. I also thought about putting out a video on my turtle comic collection. I thought with that one maybe people might see some comics they didn’t know about.

@razrentals8897 if that's what it takes to get more videos out, ya that would be cool. At the same time I'm use to the long format you've come to be known for (in my opinion). If you think you can do it without getting burnt out and feel you're still putting out a good product I'd say it's worth experimenting with a few videos. And honestly as for as the First Turtles go and when theyre suppose to arrive, I have no idea. People on the tmnt party wagon Facebook group said they were shipping them out in sections as they go. I'm sure if neca would respond to my emails they'd generically say that theyre suppose to be shipped this month. There was a huge mix up with Donnie's Lab being sent to customers that didn't even order it, and some were even receiving 2, so I imagine their shipping department and the manufacturing are in complete disarray. I do already have a set but not the one I paid for. I got a guy in Santa Ana a bunch of figures earlier this summer and along with some money he gave me his set, which I'm guessing was right from sdcc. So I'm lucky enough to own a set, but not the one I paid for which helps only slightly. I feel like I got robbed honestly, but based on watching your videos both about neca and super 7, it seems like waiting an eternity for figures is pretty normal, but if I don't get them by new years I may just call my bank and dispute the charge. I'll give them till January 1st which is more than generous considering their marketed release date.

@razrentals8897 DUDE MY FIRST TURTLES FINALLY CAME. I didn't get a single notification about it, and I checked my shop app and it's still the same. My guess is there's a warehouse or post office or manufacturing place that they stored my figure cuz it hasn't updated. And get this, the box came from New Berlin WI? I'm confused yet elated. I just came home from donating plasma and there it is sitting on my front steps

@ haha see you did a good deed and the universe paid you back. New Berlin Wi seems unusual. I’ve never got anything from them there. Their shipping has been weird lately. I kind of wish I was one of those people that got an extra Donatello’s Laboratory.

But ya I totally agree I wish I was one of those people that received one out of nowhere, and a toon street dio for good measure. Now that I received my 2 pack, I'm just waiting on toywiz to send me my original variant CHOGRIN TMNT Guru statue that I preordered in June. They said it would ship in August or September and have been pushing it back. And it looks like other sites like kidrobot have it already in stock. Toywiz said they're having issues with the manufacturer so I may end up canceling the preorder and ordering from kidrobot so I actually receive it. They even released a glow in the dark exclusive variant during nycc and that was available and shipped out all within 3ish months cuz I had started seeing them on the aftermarket. Just the other day I saw the original variant for the first time and messaged the seller and he said he got it from kidrobot, so I've been waiting around like a dumbass when I could've already had it if I just ordered from kidrobot!

I’m not sure. I never heard if they was any changes with later versions of this Donatello. I think Leo lost the extra paint that they included on his belt.

I may have to try to stretch it out with hot water like you said. It’s just not long enough by a little bit.

Thank you! I like Transformers, but I’ve never really had any as a kid or now. All I have are a few Dino bots and one of them is a bootleg haha. I have a bunch of Thundercats, but few are complete. I may do a Battle Beasts wave 1 video. They were transformers related.

Yeah it was a Walmart exclusive unfortunately. You had to get it through that stupid thing they were doing that was kind of like an NFT. I don’t even remember what they were calling it, but you bought it and then could either decide to have it sent to you or keep it in you online vault for future trading or whatever. It was stupid. They should put her out for real. From now on they should always release figures in their classic colors instead of the color classics versions.

Jagwar and Dreadmon were designed as toys back then? Are there pictures of their designs online? I’d love to see what they would have looked like. I agree, it’d be awesome to see different types of frogs made into Rasputin and Atilla. Was Pizzaface cut because of Playmates meddling or Kyle pulling the plug? I’d like to see what was done with him.

@ From what I understand, Flynn wanted Pizzaface in wave 5 and Kyle kept delaying revisions because he would get nauseous looking at it. I think it went through further revisions after the Playmates stuff but wound up with a dozen or so finished sculpts that Nick wasn't quite happy with as it became a back and forth when they decided it needed to be "more different". The design process started taking longer because Nick had more and more notes the more original a design was. I believe Nick actually suggested 2003 for alternating waves to give S7 more time to iterate on the new designs needed for retro toy waves. The more "new" something is, the more back and forth things get. I gather S7 has now settled for just doing 2003 waves because they weren't getting anywhere with retro toy designs aside from big stacks of rejected or not-quite-there designs and even sculpts. Whereas their 2003 designs both sailed through approval with Nick and sold better. I do think something might be up with Mondo. They hired a Super7 sculptor who worked with TMNT (Brandon Gash) who was pitching Jim Lee figures on Instagram. Brandon had also sculpted Nacelle's Moo Mesa. I gather Brandon was laid off by S7 after doing the 2k3 TMNT and Cats Lair 18 months ago, he went around pitching his Jim Lee TMNT, S7 rehired him when they decided to go all-in on 2k3 a few months ago, and he abruptly quit S7 for an exclusive job with Mondo. Mondo has had a much easier time getting approvals on vintage toy updates for their vinyls. Mondo is getting into 6.5" figures with Ghostbusters and MOTU. I expect a TMNT announcement any day and I personally think they'll be doing designs similar to the vinyls. Jagwar definitely had a design or two. It was essentially his magazine appearance with the extra-bushy leaves. I think Dreadmon's was similar to his animation model for the scrapped Mutanimals cartoon? These were just 2D Mirage designs. I think Playmates didn't show interest in the two until around the 2007 movie. Basically, had the CGI movie been a success, the next toyline would be the CGI TMNT teaming with mutants in different countries on a global adventure and Playmates has displayed prototypes of a Dreadmon and Jagwar from that. You'd probably need to mash some things up to combine Playmates' 2000s Varner sculpts with Mirage's 2D sketch pitches. Otherwise it would look 2007ish or just like Mirage or Archie art.

@ dude how are you in the know about all of this? Do you know the people within the company or just watch a lot of interviews. I can’t believe he kept wanting to change Pizza Face because it grossed him out. He may be a nice guy (I don’t know him), but that shows you right there that he doesn’t understand the appeal of 80s/90s tmnt. The gross out stuff in 90/91 was the best stuff in my opinion and I mostly loved everything back then. Those years for me were just the top tier turtle sculpts. I really like what mondo is doing with the real ghostbusters. I’m all on board for that. I may get into turtle figures if they do them, but the price of their stuff kills me. I like those tmnt vinyl designs a lot but I can’t get myself to pay the money. I think those vinyls show they understand the spirit of the series. So you think super7 won’t return to any classic stuff besides GITD figures? Only 2003 waves from now on? I’m surprised they haven’t put a new wave up for preorder yet. It’s been awhile since the last one and there’s only 2 preorders at the moment.

@ It's a mix of watching too many interviews, gossip, talking directly to people. Kyle didn't want to make Pizzaface less gross. He kept setting him aside to work on later because he couldn't handle too much gross at a time. And then he accidentally ended up pushing him back until the Playmates changes hit. After that, Super7 had to keep revising designs to get Nick approvals because Nick wanted more changes or didn't like the changes they made. It became harder work. Kyle is a huge 2k3 fan and is also the one who fought for and got double joints. Basically, it would have been easier to get Pizzaface approved in the first 9 waves, before the Playmates thing. Kyle knew it had to be gross but procrastinated. Now, they CAN do anything if they make changes to toy designs (and I know Flynn wanted Pizzaface and wants Hotspot). But none of the changes they make are "good enough" for Nick to approve them and they were doing lots of drafts that got rejected. So they're just doing 2003 for now because it's easier to get approvals. A lot of the gross out stuff in early waves was handled more by Four Horsemen and then I want to say Wingnut was guest designed by Armamdo Roque, who is big on gross out and temporarily ran waves 8 and 9 because Kyle was busy elsewhere. (Kyle contributed still and designed Wingnut's alternate head and cape but Armando was fill-in lead.) Armando is now design lead on Nacelle's Moo Mesa. Armando also chose the colors for GITD variants for awhile and I think you can see a change there. Like they were kind of grosser and louder? And then Kyle took that back over and now they're less chaotic looking and more like compatible colors with metallic highlights? That's kind of the difference between Armando and Kyle, IMHO. Armando is very messy, loud, clashing, asymmetrical. Kyle is very sleek, unified, balanced, elegant. I honestly think Kyle is doing great on 2003 and will do even better. Like I say, he really made the double joints happen. He does simple, clean, angular stuff great.

Or at least put in a change of address to their nursing home.
