Update 2 in progress. If anybody thinks of anything I missed please let me know and I’ll add it to the video and release a 2nd update within the next few weeks. Special thanks to Michael O’Mahony for letting me know April drove the van in the season 1 episode Shredder and Splintered. I always remember her driving the News Van in that episode, but he’s 100% correct. This info will be added in update 2. Update 3 I just found another use of the Turtle Launcher. It happens so quickly I must have skimmed right past it! In the episode Michelangelo Meets Bugman Again April is about to fall off of the Conspicuous Consumption Shopping Mall and the turtle van shows up really quick. Leonardo launches out of the top of the van to save April. The launcher is similar to the one seen in Whats Michelangelo good for and Donatello’s Bad Time where it’s just the segment of the roof instead of the whole roof cracking open.
@@MarkVersion1 maybe I’ll release them both together at the same time. Give myself some time for anyone else to give me any new info if I missed anything else.
This video is one of your greatest achievements in information yet! Truly fantastic video, Gary! Looking forward to seeing how long the actual toy review is!
I'm not sure how many days (or weeks) it took me to finish the video, but I do know I enjoyed every second of it. I was hooked and I loved learning about the Turtle Party Wagon. Excellent job Gary!
Hi Raz, awesome video. Sorry to be a pain. You forgot Season 1 Episode 5 Shredder and Splintered. At the beginning of the episode, Donatello gives April the key to the turtle van. Later April, Vernon and the news team are with the van outside Channel 6. Vernon says 'Gun it April', I think the only time Vernon shows insubordination to Burne. Next you see April doing some bad ass driving. Finally they stop and get out of the turtle van next to Giant Krang
Hey thanks for commenting! Trust me you’re not being a pain at all! Letting me know is very helpful. I’ll add the info to the video as soon as possible and release Update 2. For some reason I always remembered her driving the van in that episode. I want this thing to be as complete as can be so thank you for letting me know!
Excellent video. I myself need to carve out some free time and just sit myself down and “really” watch the Red Sky episodes. I scrub through the RS and European Vacation episodes on high speed, only as a final desperate look, when I can’t find a reference source of a NECA item in the earlier seasons. Since, scrubbing is at high speed, I don’t know what’s really going on story wise, but will stop if it seems interesting. That Red Sky episode where the Turtles use Kraig’s Android Body as a Kaiju Mecha was interesting enough to slow down and have a watch, and surprisingly, it was a pretty descent episode with Dreg absorbing the attributes of other mutants, and really trying to cause harm. I thought it was a level of seriousness the previous seasons never reached outside of the pilot episodes and a few gems from seasons 6 and 7. Well, anyway, keep up the good work. Anticipating part 2 of NECA’s Van review. Overall, I think they’ve locked themselves out of some serious geek cash by some of the Van’s design choices they’ve made. Noting how the wheels alone are stuck behind glued in hubcaps is a big let down. Who wouldn't want a DeLorean-style hover like Van upgrade? They could’ve of further rode our wallets with s Snow Job, submarine, or speed boat upgrade accessory packs too. We all would’ve paid. Boo NECA! Boo! lol! ✌️
It’ll be interesting to see what they eventually put out as an accessory for the van. It’ll be difficult to add any major altering device to the van. How could they do the catapult? Who knows but I think you were right about the ice cream truck disguise. What program do you use to scrub the cartoon?
@@razrentals8897 Hey, Raz ✌️. Yeah, still can’t believe they glued so many things down on it. I’m diligently plugging away at a reasonable workaround myself. So, if things work out, I plan to have a set of multiple upgraded vehicles. I tore the entire thing down to figure out what they got in store for us, which is very little. What they should’ve done was give us a basic core chassis to upgrade. Since, they didn’t do that, figured I’d have to make my own. Just finished my first core when you wrote me a few hours ago… Deciding what upgrades I want to make… Scrubbing to me means just watching a video on a faster speed to save me time. I’m usually short on time, or I have a pile of videos I want to watch, so I just set the playback speed usually to 1.5 x normal playback speed through TH-cam’s playback settings. Most of us can understand what a person is saying faster than that person can actually form a sentence in real-time, so I tweak the speed setting up a little. For me, my grasping of the concepts being spoken by that person begins to tap out at 2x normal speed, so if that person’s normal talking speed is already fast, then 2x is too fast for me to understand everything that’s being said … So, it’s the actual iphone TH-cam App I’m using, while watching through my phone device. Now, note, I’ve noticed that different devices may make the playback sound like high pitched chipmunk speak, so I don’t scrub playback through our older living room TV, or the fridge TV, because I think the YT app on those devices are outdated or somehow blocked from being upgraded somehow. So, to me, your videos are perfect at 1.5 x. Perfect pitch, perfect pauses, perfect inflections, which all sound understandable at that faster speed for me. Since, I watched the main ‘87 Turtle episodes sooooooo many times, I set the playback speed to 2x, to help get through the episodes twice as fast, if I’m just looking for an image of an Easter Egg. The key also here is: Easy access. I have all the 200+ ‘87 episodes, the 3 movies, Turtles Forever, TMNT x Batman, and Fred Wolf Space Usagi’s pilot all stored in the cloud for free, through the Google Drive app across 13 different free accounts that Google allows you to chain together through Drive. You can quickly jump in between the linked accounts, and while there search for a specific title of a episode by just typing a few key words, like ‘hot’ for the episode “Too Hot to Handle”. I can’t remember everything, so when I do my screen grabs I like to make sure I have the scrub bar show the exact playback time from the episode, and I usually take a picture of the episode title name, crop that, and merge both pictures together through a free online picture merger called IMGonline. I also use these free iphone apps: - PhotoShop Mix - To stitch together more precisely those longer panoramic shots. - iMovie - Amazing powerful free app to edit videos. I’m attempting a video clip repository in the cloud of every toon object NECA has given us. I’m also trying to amp up the community’s specific interest in the toon line, so NECA will keep the focus on everything toon. I usually read comments that say they don’t remember this character, or that this person was only in one episode, which might lead people to tap out and abandon the toon line altogether, but if I show them a short super cut between 30 sec to a min, then they’ll have some tangible history with the character and be Toon lifers like you and I. I don’t like paying for any online subscriptions, but Adobe’s online AI fill generator, named Adobe Firefly, is worth the $5 bucks a month. So, for our large panoramic shots of maybe a city scape, there might be blacked out areas because of old school screen aspect ratio or whatever, but Firefly will fill that area with believable alternatives in seconds. The online app is freaking incredible, Bruh. For example: The appearance of REX-1’s girlfriend, REX-Anne, never shows what her legs look like. As long as you crop an empty area where her legs would be, and use FF’s Text to generate some robot legs, it’s a wrap! You can take a picture of the purple theme bricks from the newest movie and generate an entire screen’s worth, used to make wrapping paper, or as a templet for a 3D diorama wall. They’ve saved me so much creative time, and it seems the technology is getting better as time goes by… I know I’ve dropped a lot on you, friend, but have you had a chance to guess all the Easter Eggs on the foam top board of Donnie’s Lab yet? I got everything except two. Top left hand corner there are pieces of paper. I haven’t found the paper with purple and green writing on it yet, or the location of that specific banana peel…
Yes! I’ve been thinking about it and looking into my reference a bit. Theres not nearly as much stuff as the van, but it’d be cool just to put it all together.
Hey sorry for taking so long to get back to you. Things have been a little hectic here over the past few weeks. At the moment I have two examples of the pizza dough on their faces, but neither have mouths. There’s a shot of Raph with dough on his face, but only his eyes are cut out in the episode Beyond the Donatello nebula. There’s also a shot I know of where Mikey has dough on his face, but no eyes and no mouth. That’s in welcome back polarisoids. Hope that helps. I need to look over my stuff some more.
