- In this video I review Neca's brand new Portable Portal Generator. I discuss all of it's appearances (that I'm aware of) in the cartoon and show it next to a wide variety of Ninja Turtle toy lines.

Holy crap! A full hour! You’re a madman!
I’m torn on this purchase. It’s super cool to have in the diorama but there’s just a few things off. That right panel should have been on a hinge or something so you can angle it as it appears in the show and for the price it really should have come with a separate console to represent when it’s shrunk down. And oh that price! Necas mandatory $15 shipping pushed the price of this item past the toon accessory kit, all of the ultimates and most 2 packs at retail. Even without the extra shipping cost, this thing cost more than figs like Chromedome, Metalhead and the recent April release. The value just isn’t really there for this item like the rest of the line. I’d prob feel better about it if it came with more accessories even if it cost as much as the other accessory kits. Glad I got it cuz it’s gonna be pretty rare going forward and I love diorama stuff but I totally understand how most folks could easily consider this a pass.

Having a hinge really would have went a long way. That would have been great. It’s almost always on an angle except for that one Isagi Yojimbo shot. I wish it had the collapsed version too. They could have easily fit it in the box.
Absolutely on everything you said. I've been an unintentional completist of the toon & movie lines, up until the portable generator. _Maaaaybe_ I would've gotten it if it was no more than $30, but for what it is/isn't, it's not remotely worth the cost. So many logical and obvious points you made with what should've been included; but apparently this was one of those items where they had to use the majority of the profits to go towards other stuff.
I thought this was a great review and you had some fantastic displays at the end that looked fantastic especially with the clever angles. It's a limited item but I think you used it in some creative ways! Thanks for fulfilling my request! A bigger rrd light would have really made that scene pop!

Same here, I thought it would be thicker as well. As much as I like it, I think it was overpriced. Thanks for all the episode info and size comparisons. That last pic where 87 Donnie meets Playmates Donnie is badass lol.

excellent review as always, still waiting for mine it takes ages until it gets to EU, but it was quite an expensive accessory for that price I would expect to be much bigger or to have some light up feature and for sure more moving parts or they cold add folded-mini-portal version but nothing :( I've had high hopes for lenticular cards where it will be 1 card for 1 theme so when you move it looks more 3d not like what they did...
1 card with 3 pictures and it doesn't make any serious 3d effects it's strange :( but sure better than nothing, probably price so high cause not too many people would order it...
for other accessories in future it's getting so expensive it's almost more cost-efficient to get them 3d printed so it will be hard to decide next time if to go for the official Donnie coffee machine if its this expensive or rather 3dprint it - hack neca could sell out 3d-print-file for $10-15 and there would be people buying it for sure as an alternative
Darn you just reminded me. I actually wrote down and intended to say that if they were going to use lenticular pictures it would have been better to keep them all one scene but have different animation cels in a row so the picture animated as you turned it. Have dimension z bare and then show Ogg flying in to look at you like the end of the episode. Lights would have been cool too!

Have you ever had the Ninja Turtles 1992 mutation series? The Ninja Turtles can transform back into a turtle...etc. They're nice action figures but never seen you review them.
I only have a complete Raph and maybe 1 other. I just bought the Playmates rerelease of Raph so I may try to pump out a video comparing the new to the old. Thanks for asking!
