Wow, Wingnut is doing the limbo basically with how bad he’s leaning backwards. QC + Super7 = nonexistent. :/ On the plus side, great review! Love the channel, man!
Thank you! I know! I hope the QC begins to get better soon. the loose joints continue to kill all the enthusiasm I have for all of the ultimates lines.
Awesome review, as usual. I'm sorry to hear that you didn't like Scumbug that much. For me it's the stellar figure from this line besides Dunkin Donnie, I think it just lacks some glossy paint in the eyes and mouth, and maybe on the bugs too, but overall I'm very happy with it. I was a bit afraid about the hoses because I really liked how neca approached it but they are pretty posable so I'm quite happy with the whole figure. I agree with you in that they missed a great opportunity when they didn't exploid the little arms on his belly. I like Wingnut but (And I never thought I would say this) it's a bit too big for the collection in my opinion. And one more thing that disappointed me was that it didn't have the yellow metallic gradient on the weapons as it was shown on last year's NY Toy Fair. I really thought that looked awesome and I was really hoping for that to be the final look on the figure, but it's really a minor detail since the figure is really awesome.
Thanks! I’ll try to do a Scumbug review soon to explain it a little better. I do like the tubes that attach to his body. They look a little gross or something haha. Like you can just tell something nasty is traveling through them. I didn’t realize that Wingnut accessories were shown with that yellow gradient before. Wow, what a missed opportunity, they look fantastic that way. I really wish they would have done that for this release. Maybe they were told the yellow was too similar to the old stuff, but the bat boomerang looked great in yellow. I still need to open up Dunker Don. He looks great though.
That Archie issue you showed at the end was my first tmnt comic as a kid. So naturally I also really want that Wingnut as a figure. Especially now we have the wrestling TMNT coming soon, which are also a dream come true that I never thought would happen!
@@Lirka_906 the wrestling turtles look fantastic! They’re a dream come true for me too since my first issue was the one before when they wrestled Cryin Hound and Ace Duck. Archie may have been my favorite Turtle series growing up so I hope it gets the all star treatment and it continues to grow and grow. I picked up Bellybomb the other day and I couldn’t tell you how happy I was to find him!
Oh boy! Another Super 7 Ultimates review! It must be time for the Super 7 Ultimates Foot Sol...er...Wingnut review! What an awesome figure. Wingnut is great. I love the Batman alternate head sculpt.
Hey Raz Rentals I was just wondering if you checked out the TMNT Movie Star Villains 4 pack. (the one with Super Shredder, Movie Star Foot Soldier, Tokka and Rahzar) If so what are your thoughts on the set, besides the supper Shredder snice you did a video on the Movie Star 6 pack before and that one is in this set too.
I don’t know if I speak for all people but I have to say that wave nine of TMNT ultimate super seven is by far the best. and I don’t think any other way it can possibly top this. Also, love the animate with Wingnut and the others in the story sequence. Really feels like you’re a kid again creating your own stories with these awesome figures. And who says adults don’t have imagination, right?
Thanks! I’m glad you enjoyed the story sequence! I love making those and trying to come up with little plots. I use to be an animator and draw storyboards and I miss it sometimes. I usually have a lot of fun drawing these up (roughly) before shooting them. I think you may be right about wave 9 being the possibly the best wave. There’s a lot of other figures I think are amazing, but even when this wave went up for preorder I was probably the most excited I had been for a wave. I do think this is probably super7’s last amazing wave. Every wave since then has had something missing. It may be the absence of four horsemen studios doing the sculpts. Or maybe it’s the character selection. Now if the next wave is Usagi, Wyrm, Undercover Don, and Pizza Face I’ll happily eat my words. 1991 was a year we didn’t see enough of. Groundchuck, Dirtbag, Wyrm, Tattoo, Chrome Dome, Tokka and Rahzar, I needed all of those!
I opened up mine today. I do not understand why they could not add a grenade which looked like the vintage toy in the package, but it is what it is. I did not get any wire for the grapling hook, was this included?
@@mickemata7666 dude who!? I did notice someone a couple years ago start to do exactly what I do with cartoon items in their videos, but I didn’t want to say anything because I thought it was nice someone else actually cared enough about the toys to look up what they were. Then I started to tell stories with the figures in the background when I gave my general thoughts on the toy and I noticed them start to do that too! Even some of their thumbnails are similar to mine. I don’t want to say who it is so I don’t look petty or egotistical, I feel conceited just thinking it, but I swear I’ve inspired at least one much bigger TH-camr haha.
@@razrentals8897 didn't notice the one your mentioning a couple years ago, but a lot of the new guys are starting to the razz rentals breakdowns. Never as thorough or even come close, and they also shout you out
@@mickemata7666 that’s awesome that they shout me out! It’s nice to get a mention so I appreciate it if they do it. Plus There’s certain things I do that were inspired by other people. I started doing these super excessive ultimates comparisons because I loved Pixeldans motuc’s comparison time, but always wanted him to get super close to the figures and go into more detail.
Shame about the hips. I think I've lucked out, since I haven't had anything overly loose, such as on Muck Man or Bebop, some of those big boys. Then again, I'm a cherry picker, so I don't have most of the figures to compare. I was all set to buy Krang, but then I saw the looseness, and it put me off.
Do you pose them a lot or just open them up, pose them once and then leave them alone? Wingnut was good at first until I put him into about 30 poses if that.
@@razrentals8897 I probably wouldn't pose him that much, honestly I'm not really planning on buying him anymore, given the looseness issues and the high price, maybe if I see a 50% sale on BBTS, but eh...my action figure collecting has really tapered down to a bare minimum, at this point.
While the Super7 joints are a problem, I find the joints on the NECA figures to be absolutely disgusting. The combination of tight and soft is a match made in hell. And that creaking sound they make... yuck. I don't know, I think I'll take figures on ice skates over figures that make my skin crawl.
Hmmmm I guess I would have to go with Neca. I agree the too stiff joints and creaky soft plastic are a problem, but I’ve been lucky enough that I’ve only snapped 1 or two joints. I think that’s actually a lot better than most people. I usually hear horror stories. After the initial movements I can at least set them up fine. The super7 figures drive me crazy because you can’t even get some of them to stand up in a basic standing up straight pose. As I made the action sequences in this I literally wanted to smash my Krang figure against the wall haha. We need a perfect middle ground between both companies.
I loved Wingnut as a kid! Was overjoyed to find re release of original figure. Like getting a piece of my childhood back
Did you pick it up?
