- In this video I discuss Neca’s somewhat brand new Turtle Van. The Fred Wolf turtle van was the version I always wanted as a kid so I really gave this toy it’s due. I talk about it’s Playmates toy origin and how Peter Chung brought it to the small screen. I discuss every single piece and item with an excessive amount of detail. I show how accurate everything is and cover how everything is used in the show. I even talk accessories Neca could include in the future to make this van even more complete. If you got some time sit back, relax and listen to the ramblings of a deranged mad man.

Update 1 - I just found another use of the Turtle Launcher! In the episode Bugman Meets Michelangelo again Leonardo launches up into the air to catch April who’s falling off the Conspicuous Consumption Shopping Mall. It happens very fast so I must have skimmed right past it.
I didn't know about all that artwork coming from the same guy lol. I agree about the hinges not being enough to hold everything over time and also about the van being too compact. I forgot that Rex was in the van in his episode lol. Sucks how Neca didn't give us some of those one time weapons from the show. The only thing I thought would be here for sure was all the long gear levers on the steering wheel, like you mentioned. I cracked up on all the same headbands error cartoon references Hahaha! Once again, I love how detailed your videos are on all the info we need from the cartoon. Well done.
there was so much information I'll have to re-watch it again to fully soak all the details and variants but that's good because I'm enjoying this type of content, amazing job

The one thing the van felt off the animation was the windows ...so the Channel on youtube Nostalgia Unboxed , on his ko-fi store he has day and night windows and other goodies for the van

Great review and excellent job finding all the shots from inside the van shown on the cartoon to compare. I think this NECA version is most accurate to the show so far on the market.

Great review. I'll say again, the Neca Van looks like a great display piece, but I still feel the S7 Van was superior and I'm glad that's the one I went with.

No problem! When it eventually takes a dip in price I’ll get it. I really hope Neca puts out some extra accessories for it. The next review will most likely be Wingnut and Screwloose ultimates. Hell ya I did man. I love listening to all the history behind it, I watched the Fred Wolf serious when I was like 6 or 7 and it blew my mind. Now I'm 27 and I still love taking in all the info. Especially with your brand of comedy it's top notch for me hahaha. Seriously though, this is some great work Gary!

@razrentals8897 ya I grew up with watching the 03 turtles on 4kids along with sonic the hedgehog and I definitely got my mom to get me a DVD of the first season. I eventually got more seasons but I'm not sure where they are at the moment. I also would go over to my brothers friends house when I was younger and they wouldn't let me play with them so the mom and I would go to Hollywood video and I'd rent the episode Rebel Without a Fin tape with Mikey in a leather jacket I believe (on the tape cover), along with a few other episodes as well as a taping of The Next Mutation show. Amazing times man I tell ya. Eventually that Hollywood video shut down and I bought both of those tapes. Love talking to you man it's so cool

You would have been a GREAT source when I was designing the effects set for this van. Haha. Glad I made some blind choices that I did though. Like the odd shape on the dash becoming a screen!

Thanks! Yeah you got lucky with that screen haha. It would have been so easy for them to paint that spot black or something so it actually looked like a turned off screen but oh well.
@razrentals8897 Gary, will you be getting the original sketch turtles that are a target exclusive? As well as the vintage turtles that will be exclusive to walmart? Target exclusives come out in June and Walmart exclusives are in July

The turtles neca party wagon van looks nice, and really captures the cartoon series. With that being said, so when is your review on ultimate Super7 wave 9, it’s an awesome wave and you won’t be disappointed
I got them and I’m currently trying to write the reviews. So far I’ve started Wingnut and he is amazing! Visually he really catches my eye and looks perfect. I need to open up my Scumbug because I’m dying to check him out too.

Hi Raz, Awesome video. I agree the van is too small. I got the Underground Arsenal van as well as the Neca van. The Underground Arsenal van is longer and wider and it does fit 3 turtles in the front seat. Overall I prefer the cartoon accuracy with the Neca and sturdiness with Underground Arsenal. I never got the Super 7 van.If you want to see a comparison on TH-cam, look up Geek Dad Life turtle van. He compares all Underground Arsenal, Neca and Super 7 turtle vans. I was thinking maybe the reason for so many different interiors is the turtles are rich and they could afford a load of different turtle vans. It could explain why there is 2 turtle vans in Season 2 Episode 10 New Yorks Shiniest 😂😂
Haha I’ll gladly accept your theory. Seriously, two turtle vans in that episode! How did they not catch that? I may have to check out that video. I remember seeing the thumbnail somewhere but I try to avoid other reviews until I finish mine. The only thing holding me back from super7’s is the price. It’s just not worth it in my opinion. Was the Underground one a decent price?
Hi Raz, I paid €325 (which included shipping from Singapore to Ireland) back in April 2022. I think I got a good deal. I remember the van being advertised for around $250 in USA. I got it online from Singapore. Believe it or not, the shipping cost more than the van. I like that the UA van is bigger and appears more sturdy, but I prefer the cartoon accuracy of the Neca van. I guess I am too much of a sucker for my childhood favourite cartoon.
@@user-wn2km7bf7v international shipping sounds awful. I feel pretty bad you all have to deal with such high costs. Usually I hear about the outrageous costs from the us to Europe. I imagine Asia to Europe must be pretty rough too.

I got mine in a trade and when I opened it up, it was missing the dashboard! Till today my van is incomplete.😒
Did you post a pic of it on the Party Wagon group? If so I saw that pic and made sure to open up my sewer Playset to make sure I had everything. That’s ridiculous. Did the person trading you know? Have you contacted Neca?

I’m currently working on a review of super7’s wingnut and then after that I’ll be working on a bunch of neca Fred wolf videos. I wanted to work on the old ones, but with haulathon taking place next week I’ll probably begin reviewing whatever I get from that.
