Put thicker doff fluid it will stay down
What city is this in. Looks like the high desert
Have both the Sledge and XRT. Sledge is peppy but XRT is more stable. Biggest difference is I feel the XRT is simply more durable (have hardened metal gears in both) simply because the gear-train is mainly sealed whereas the Sledge it’s open to debris. What’s needed is an aftermarket part to cover/mount the pinion, spur, center diff, for the Sledge. What metal spacers are talking about with the XRT, what do they fix/prevent?
Do those fans go into the rx?
Whats your torque setting?
Which horn is that?
What motor support you hve. Nice rig!!!!
How do we see what you’re doing from this distance ??
Have you had any issues with the fans running off your receiver pulling to much amps?
I haven’t, the upgraded receiver can take extra voltage, the upgrades esc is built to supply it.
Hey im doing pretty much the same build about 85% all GPM parts. What receiver box did you use?
It’s an arrma receiver box. GPMs website lists the part number needed.
Where did you get the QS8 to TRX splitter? Looking to run this same setup on my XRT.
They have them on eBay.
Is the gray wire positive or negative on the servo?
Not sure. I just tried looking and can’t tell. I would take the cover off but with how mine is set up, it’s not a quick process to get to the receiver.
Just happen to me right now i just put in the 3rd channel and it works
Ok sorry man can't stand to watch this video because of the music. Not sure why it would be so loud.
Editing error. One day maybe I’ll film a whole new video.
Nice video
Thank you, appreciate the support
Were you get that green tube
This one in particular was from wirecare.com I believe. But Amazon and eBay all have wire sheath available
Have you had any problems with your chassis ? I just ordered one and hoping i didnt make a mistake , everyone seems to be ususing vitavon or m2c
I’ve had no problems. Thick and good quality from my experience so far.
Mines great . I wish I would have got the reverse motor mount with the piece that guards the spur gear from tearing up the Battery, I have the GPM battery mount\servo mount like you do so there's nothing stopping the batterys from contacting the spur gear, I may put the stock battery tray back in until I get the reverse motor mount
Hows the Perfect Pass servo holdin up and how many hours of run time on it so far?
Haven’t pulled them out in awhile unfortunately, but had an hr to 2hrs runtime on it and it’s been great. Once the servo saver was dialed, servo is amazing, even better when I upped the voltage.
Hey hey man. Finally got it set up. I’m having an issue getting the input drive (Cush drive) cover to stay down. Have u had that issue yet at all?
I used the PNW rc madness upgrade kit. Gives you bolts and nuts to go all the way through so the plastic threads don’t pull out.
Who’s stupid idea was it to have this annoying music in back ground 🤦🏽♂️!
Forgot to turn the audio level down 🤦♂️ and once the vid is baked, I couldn’t go back in and edit it. You live and you learn
@@sarversrc Wots better over all out of the rc cars
Hard to say man, I’ve always loved the Revo, but breaks a lot. The Maxx is an absolute tank. XRT is probably the best mix of everything.
Can someone please tell me the advantage of a belt drive
No more shredded gears, specially if you start shredding the expensive aftermarket ones. Belts are dang near indestructible. If you do manage to break or wear one out, they are only like $15.
Did u also buy the ESC and receiver mount from PNWRCMADNESS?
Is that 8mm Bow House spur shaft 8mm all the way through or does it step down to stock size in order to use the stock gearing? Or a better way to ask is, R U able to use the stock input gear with the 8mm bow house shaft?
I’m pretty positive the stock is 5mm and won’t fit. I bought the 8mm specifically for the belt drive on PNWs suggestion.
Was the motor getting pretty hot with that setup before u added the fans?
TBH I never ran it without them. Think when I temp gunned it, it was getting to like 180. The pulley combo might be a little hot for my liking.
Very nice 🔵🔵🔵🙂🙂🙂👍👍👍🔵🔵🔵
Thank you
Dude. U literally black marked your driveway and road a wheelie on a wheelie. lol.
Think has more power than needed and I’ve yet to run it on 12s.
I’ve bought two of these hobby wing max five G2’s and I’ve noticed, depending on how long they’ve been sitting on the shelf the little bit of dust buildup or lack of grease. I guess something like that after it warms up, or you going for a couple sessions, it seems that that noise will go away.
For as bad as it sounded I thought a bearing was shot, but it went away.
Hey hey man. How can someone reach out to you via PM or other?
Shoot me an email at csarv17@gmail.com
This video would’ve been great without that damn music 😖
I know I know lol. Lesson learned
@@sarversrcit may have been loud but it definitely was a good instrumental… it had my free styling the whole time..lol
It’s a fine line. Long driving scenes I feel like people would get bored since the cars are electric and not producing much sound, but forget to adjust audio track volume and musics a little to loud, everyone’s in uproar lol
Btw I did weigh them. Stock sledgehammers 357 grams 6s deboot backflips 382 grams 25 grams about the same as my sharpie
Minimal difference
How are those backflips holding up? I just got some but still waiting on the spacers lol can’t hardly wait! Thanks for the video!
Holding up great. No complaints
U still running the belt drive? If so how u liking it? Worth doing or no?
No issues at all. Nice not having to worry about it pretty much.
@@sarversrc is there a way I can reach out to u? I have some specific questions in regards to the setup.
Shoot me an email at csarv17@gmail.com
It's a "race truck" do you really want it doing wheelies?
Just better traction instead of spin in loose dirt. I personally haven’t ran into any 1/5th racing. More of just an all around fun truck for me.
I love the Traxxas Maxx V2, I have one of my own and it’s an awesome truck, but although when I get older, I want to look into getting an Xmaxx
The Maxx is an absolute tank! Xmaxx is a ton of fun as well
Are you using a Traxxas receiver
No I upgraded to a radio link. Wanted the ability to up the voltage to the servo if I wanted to, and to start consolidating transmitters lol.
Why Not putting any information about the parts, links, servo model, nothing!... thnx!
The servo is a perfect pass monster, got it on Amazon, most the GPM and treal parts are from PNW Rcmadness.
Parts lists and links?
Perfect pass monster servo off Amazon, GPM and treal parts are from PNW Rcmadness.
What size is the Flexible Braided cable sleeves? Dressing up 8mm wire.
I used 5/16 on the esc wires and 1/4 on everything else
@@sarversrc thanks for the info 👍
You can't be that stupid, no motor mount
Need to start adding links to parts
I pretty mucb strictly buy from amain, amazon, ebay, and PNW rcmadness.
No link to the parts....

Awesome Chassis of GPM!! Which front bumper to you have on your rig? Seems to be also great! Many thanks for your video!
RPM front bumper.
Are the front and rear shocks the same
Off the top of my head, can’t say for sure. But I believe they are the same.
Dont wtf u just dit there is one reason why is lock factory u just make the udr slow and no traction 100%
Can always switch it back!
Can't even stand a small jump 😵💫
She definitely is built for jumping lol. Just that scale realism effect.
What diff grease you recommend using ?
Believe I out 100k in this.
I think you just ruined the point of a udr but that’s my opinion I just love the scale factor nice video ❤
It’s all preference. Not hard to switch it back!
It’s not black and white, the diff is a viscous limited slip that can be adjusted to preference This way you get the best of both worlds
Pretty much endlessly adjustable with fluid changes.
Hey there... can I ask what springs you put on your xrt please???...
I bought the stiffest Traxxas springs for the rear (I believe yellow stripe) and moved the stock rears to the front. Great for bottoming and the extra weight, but I gotta say, feels stiff for the small chop. I may try a set of progressives in the future. Have a set in my sledge and like them.
@@sarversrc thanks mate 😁
How is the servo doing so far?
It’s held up great. No issues at all so far.
I just got a UDR, what is different about this upgrade from stock? Mines used so im not sure whats stock and whats not!
It comes stock with a locked diff. Equal power to both rear wheels, unlocked diff allows the wheels to spin at different speeds, specially when turning. Helps it not bite and flip over
ok, yeah mines definitely locked. Thats kinda what I thought that diff was but I also thought that was what was kinda special about the truck. I might just have to try one! I drive mine on the street most of the time cuz im not old enough to drive and take it places yet so im trying to find some upgrades like that. ESC went out tho so I gotta replace that first... @@sarversrc
For the street ide definitely recommend it
Hey do the 17mm hex work with the original driveshafts?
Can’t remember if what I installed was 17mm. Just swapped stock plastic for Traxxas aluminum. But yes, what I installed works on stock driveshafts, as I am still using the stock shafts. Hope this helps.
@@sarversrcDo they work on the aftermarket steel driveshafts as well?
Not sure on the aftermarket. Haven’t ran them.
