Traxxas Sledge Protek ESC Fan

This fan is also the perfect fit on the stock motor mount!!! Went ahead and swapped the ESC fan after the first few runs as a preventative because of this video!

Doesn’t this protek fan not seat properly to the motor? I saw a video where they had to buy/make a custom mount for that fan to fit properly.

@Jjsuhs7 this fan is to replace the stock esc fan, not for the motor. Motor does need a special bracket to make it flat. Or the Traxxas fan that bolts to the stock motor mount.

I believe it should. One is a 4s esc and the sledge a 6s. But I would imagine same size fan used.

Please put in max6 with and without stock motor and compare it. There are no videos out there with that comparison.
Down the road, do the same with max8 and compare all 4 setups

I can look into doing something like this. I only have a max6 esc tho, not a max6 combo. So I couldn’t do a max6 specific motor unless I order one up.

Don’t you want the fan to blow away getting the heat away from the esc just asking I have a fan on my sledge motor and it blows away from motor.

I thought the same. Watched a few videos and googled it and they said that you want it to blow onto the esc and same with the motor.

@@sarversrcis correct. It should blow onto the esc. Not away from the ESC.
