What app are you using in the video
Mantis x
This does effect the spine IF you shoot with a traditional bow i know most people here shoot compound but just wanted to spare whoever doesn't
I've killed plenty big deer off that mountain when my grandpa owned property up there. A very large black population up there. Thank you for these videos.
Excellent video, thanks!
Great job, guys!
Scissors. Pro tip!
Gotta have them😂
Thanks
The main purpose of the single bevel is to give it spin.
Aaaaaaah y’all bumping Taylor Swift before you get it is dope!!!!!!!😂🤣😂
Were have you been bro. You ok
Thanks for checking, I’m good! Just been busy focusing on family and podcasts. TH-cam channel has really taken a back seat.
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
What is the best serving jig people like?
I’m from the future, the short-n-sweete-r is the best index release now. 😂
It’s a great release 🤘
You guys spent a premium tag on a forked horn and even made a video.
Yeah it was the beat buck we could find on public. Unless you wanted to spend 5k for access in this unit you’re not going to see a ton of big bucks. He was happy with the buck and that’s all that matters. 🤫
@@PMOUTDOORS24 The Buck is great, fine vittles! Premium tags are hard to get,.Curious what unit?
@@bentmetal01 maupin unit. It’s probably one of the worst for public access.
Oh gotcha yeah it is the deer #s in that area have been way low for years now, plus 95 percent private ground, there are some good bucks near shaniko area but that is abit further north I think.
Finally! That's me... remote in the wilderness without a serving jig :). I shoot a longbow.
IMO, the single best thing for a strong blood trail is to have the arrow shaft remain in the wound channel keeping it open from the chest cavity through to the outside. An animal isnt a balloon full of blood. There's multiple layers of moving flesh that easily plug a hole once the animal gets moving.
I’ve also seen time and time again though the shaft prevent blood from exiting the wound channel, and when it break off or comes out the blood is free to come out as well.
@@PMOUTDOORS24 you've seen a shaft within a wound channel plug the hole? That doesnt make sense. The hole is over an inch wide, the shaft is a fraction of that. Remaining in the wound channel keeps the wound channel open from the entrance to to exit. Without it, the wound is easily closed with the hide, muslce layers etc.
@@joerarey8496 there’s been plenty of times where arrows break off and blood trials immediately improve. It’s not uncommon. That’s been my experience and a lot of other folks I’ve heard from as well with stories of blood trails.
So your using your top pin to shoot 20-60 yards to find your sight tape?
Yes, that’s exactly right
I don't believe your way of fixing it because you didn't actually fix it. Could be that head and not the shaft.
It fixes the issue of the shaft, if you’re heads themselves aren’t straight that’s a completely different issue.
Did anyone else notice the fart at the end of the video! 😂
🤫 It’s a secret!!
@@PMOUTDOORS24 😏 😂 👏👏
Great video of bowtech tuning !!!
Thanks for watching
I shoot lighter arrows I have the 70 pound model and shoot 311.
Just wondering if you have tested a bow that has you thinking about upgrading from your EVOKE. Just curious.
The pse Mach 1 stealth made me think about it. But the carbon price tag just makes it not worth it.
Awesome! I have different brands of components but same system and this was very helpful!
Who did the coating?
Black willow coatings
Great video
Thanks
Clever! Since I'm too old to hunt I won't really need this but it was really interesting to see. Thanks for this.
Hey Garrett, GREAT video! I am shooting an HHA Tetra max currently. BUT, in attempt to get to build a setup to allow a pin for say 125 yards or more with the sight, I need to get a pin REAL close to the top of the bubble in order for my arrow to clear the bottom of the housing. (this is with my current peep height/anchor point, arrow weight, poundage, draw cycle, etc all included). I prefer the vertical pin setups. How low will the triple stack allow that short pin to go? Can you get it to horizon the bubble level? If not, I will have to stick with horizontal pins and slide one down to horizon the bubble. THANK YOU!!
On my V3 27 the bottom cam is leaning left, and rubbing my buss cable... How can I sort it out?? And what's can be the problem?? I need help. Kind regards Robert
Probably need to take it to a shop and have the cams adjusted over
You not doing videos anymore? it’s been a year
Thanks for asking! I’m happy to keep the channel going, I just kind of ran out of content ideas and got tired of all the bow and gear reviews
1/8 shorter plus extra on the tail end would that not affect the spine? Both things stiffen the spine
You’re correct 100%
60 pound draw…boo!!,
Lol I know! It’s all they had at the time though 🤷♂️
I ordered some 125s with bleeders. Taking one out of the box, cut my finger. Extremely sharp. 👍👍.
Thank you for the walk through. I am not surprised by the bleeder blade version getting a bit less penetration and twist. Those bleeders have to be influencing those factors. The Ashby testing shows 4 blade penetration is not as good. Bleeders aren't quite the same as strict 4 blade, but it is something to slow that twist.
With a compact crossbow I can’t find a tool that is small enough. I will have to learn to do it manually. I have a AR6 Stinger 2 repeating crossbow and already wearing out in a month. I have extra stings but this will save my from having to keep replacing strings.
I really want to get these arrows but they’re kind of intimidating. I have always just bought pre built arrows.
You can buy these pre built as well 🤘
@@PMOUTDOORS24 thanks for responding, I didn’t realize you could. I’ll definitely need to look into them more.
What target are you using, where you bought it ?
Lol it says no broadheads right above your head 😂😂😂. Love it. Good review on one arrow group
Does Wayne have a channel or website/book?
I love my ventum pro 30 the string stop sucks and breaks apart and hoyt will not send you the upgraded you have to go thru dealer and they just put the style that's falling apart. Not happy about that .
Please can you make a video going over in detail how to set the peep up to 60 yards before you ever even dial in the sight and select a sight tape. I’m a little confused. Ok. I figured it out on my own . So the deal is this. Set you peep up for 20 yards. In the case of my 3 pin fast Eddie. 20-30-40. Now roll the top pin down to 60 using the big BULL KNOB, the. Center peep for a 60 yard shot and you car now more balanced for 20-120 yard shots
Did you have to move your housing on the sight? Meaning move the scope block up/down a hole on the slider bar?
I like the dovetail for 3D, but prefer the original mount for my huntin setup
That’s a good call
I can’t find the difference between the Fast Eddie Triple Stack vs the XL version?
Triple stack is just the vertical 3 pin and pointer configuration of the sight. They can be one in the same
I like how you start out " alright I'm gonna shoot some broadheads here" right in front of the sign saying no broadheads lmao
I always take it as a suggestion 😂 If you bring your own targets you can shoot broad heads 🤘
"ABSOLUTELY NO BROADHEADS" 🤣 I love it.
It’s more of a suggestion 😂
Good video. Thank u
Thanks for watching
Man this helped me! Thank you tons!
Glad it helped! Good luck this season
Found your video on the Hogg It. Wondering what arrow weight and arrow speed you were shooting at that time.
Most likely 420gr
@@PMOUTDOORS24 Thanks. The pin gaps looked good; and with your information I realize I would probably need to use a 3 pin sight. Formerly I shot about 410 grain arrows. Now I use 537 grains and up; and my draw length is short. My pin gaps would be huge compared to the ones you had shown in in this video. I use a single pin slider; and I’d like to revert to fixed pins.
Will this take down a deer? Thanks!
The bow has enough power to kill whatever you’re hunting, a proper arrow setup will determine that more than the bow.
Great video. My situational question is… I can only dial to about 75 80 yards before I run out clearance of scope housing to arrow. Shooting Mathews v3 27 with 28 inch draw spot Hogg fast Eddie single stack slider. Should I move the scope housing up to next set of bolts? Any input would be great. Thanks
Playing with peep height would make a huge difference if you can make your anchor and shot process still work.
